Antiques and Jewels On Main is the only shop I would trust to take my antique heirlooms to for restoration and repair. Ruthie knows what can and cannot be done with a piece of jewelry and sees the potential in pieces that have sat in a drawer for years. George is an amazing artist and craftsman and takes great care with each and every piece of jewelry he works on.
My grandmother’s turn of the century platinum and diamond engagement ring had split at the band and I wanted the diamond and the band to be made into a special keepsake for my daughter. Until I met with Ruthie I didn’t know what my options would be and was resigned to thinking maybe a stud earring would be the only solution. Thankfully, Ruthie assured me that my grandmother’s ring could be restored and resized to fit my daughter and that it would be a stunning piece. Ruthie was right and for my daughter’s 23^rd birthday we gave her Grandma’s exquisite ring that looks classic and elegant on her hand. Such a beautiful memory.

My family has been coming to this store for over a decade. Some of my favorite pieces of jewelry are from here, and they have an incredibly unique selection of rings, necklaces, bracelets, pins, earrings, and gorgeous antiques. Ruthie, one of the owners, has terrific taste and always helps me find something beautiful in a comfortable price range. They also do jewelry repairs and resizing. They recently resized an opal ring for me that other jewelry stores told me couldn’t be altered — they did a great job and it looks fantastic.

Was looking to have a family heirloom ring resized and was appalled at how rude the owner was and how little she cared about this very important piece of jewelry, let alone my business. I’m not sure why she had such an attitude, but I’ve happily taken my business elsewhere.

Extremely friendly and professional atmosphere. I came in to buy a necklace for a special someone, and Ruthie, one of the owners, was incredible.
Ruthie walked me through what I was looking for, what I was looking to spend, and so on. When I confessed that I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to buy her beyond «sparkly necklace,» Ruthie talked me through different gem cuts and necklace styles, asking how long her neck was, and what types of necklaces she often wore. She showed me some beautiful pieces before I finally selected one.
I was mostly focused on necklaces, but there were some very interesting, old pieces of jewelry as well. A lot of beautiful rings.
Also there was a fruit and cheese platter out, which is always appreciated.
I’ll definitely be returning here next time I need to buy a gift.
