Bow Wow Babies

My name Matthew Calamusa and I purchased my French Bulldog on Valentines day and he has been an absolute perfect addition to my home. Liz and the owner of Bow Wow Babies were so patient with me and helped me tremendously. I can not thank them enough and I am eager to see this little guy King grow up! Definitely would recommend you get your next dog from Bow Wow and ask for Liz!

Worst experience ever. Right when you enter they politely asked us not to pet the puppies because they are young and could get sick from us. This I could understand but they then asked us to not take any pictures. I was trying to send a photo to ask my family if they liked the specific puppy. Iwonder how they could sell any puppies when you cannot play with them or do anything but state at them. meanwhile while we were there they were holding a french like a baby. guess we didn’t seem like the type to buy.

I purchased my teddy bear pup in September who I love to death but I question where this dog really came from. After paying in full I come to find there are no papers for my dog, not even a birth certificate. I brought him next door for the free vet visit and they didn’t even look at him nor send me home with any heart guard or flea meds. I paid $ 50 out of my own pocket to test his stool and they said it was fine. I brought him to another vet — one that would actually give him a proper examination and sure enough the stool sample showed up positive for giardia. He is now on his third treatment and still can’t get rid of this parasite. I guess I fell victim to purchasing a puppy mill dog no matter how high end they claim to be

My friend and i drove over an hour to check out this place. Weve been looking for a dog for a while now. When we got there, we werent even greeted. We walked around looking at the puppies for a good 15 minutes without being asked if we needed help. I finally had to call over a big guy (mexican?) to help us. This guy was so freaking rude it was unbelieveable. When i asked him to see a puppy, he kept repeating ARE YOU LOOKING TO BRING A DOG HOME TODAY OR WHAT. Excuse me sir, but no one can make such a promise. Anyone who has had a dog before knows they are with you for over a decade and one should choose wisely so no, i am not sure i am going to bring home a puppy today but i do have the right to look at a puppy since i am a potential customer.
The guy also talked way too much. And not to mention, he had the ability to talk out of his ass! He even proceeded to ask personal questions that should never be asked. I had to call him over 3 times just to see a dog, meanwhile, 2 other people just waltzed in, saw a dog, and left. While we are sitting down playing with the dog and observing her, this guy wouldnt leave us the hell alone. He kept watching us like we were gonna strangle the dog and kept asking personal questions, like sir we are NOT friends and i do not know you. He did not trust us to even check out a dog! It was unbelieveable. When we left, he grabbed the dog and turned his back to us and didnt even bother saying goodbye. How rude. In fact, we left the store in silence because no one knows how to say goodbye.
If anything, id say this place is very racist and has no place being even in ny state! While i could have returned to get a dog in the near future, it seems eyeballing in this store alone is just a no no!
Ill continue to windowshop for my next pup but really, id avoid this place. Seriously. you have been warned. not worth the drive.

Can’t say enough good things about this place!!! My wife and I as well as my brother and sister-​in-​law went to the store last weekend to look at puppies and the first thing we noticed when we walked in was how nice all the merchandise was. When we walked into the back room where the puppies are we were greeted by Mark who was very nice. He asked us what kind of puppy we were interested in. We were interested in the French Bulldogs, which also happen to be among the most expensive dogs. He could have easily tried to make a really big sale but instead wanted to know more about our situation. When he found out my wife was expecting he said a non-​shedding dog may be better for us because the baby may have allergies to a dog that sheds. He really cared both about our needs and the well being of the puppies.
When we looked at the other pups we really like the shih-​poos, especially a little brown one with a black face. When we were interested Mark asked us if we wanted to pet them which of course we did. Mark patiently answered all of our questions and provided all the info about the pup and his background.
I see some posts where people get mad because everyone isn’t allowed to pet the puppies which is just ridiculous. This place is not a petting zoo, it is filled with baby animals and the owners don’t want a million hands in the pen getting the puppies sick. It is for the well being of the puppies, not because they are mean!
When we played with the puppies we liked the little brown one even more. We weren’t 100% sure however if we were ready to take a puppy home or if it would be too much too have a puppy and a new baby in a few months. Mark said he would give us step by step instructions on how to train the pup but he did not try to push a sale at all. We left that day without a puppy but were really impressed by the experience.
After talking about it and sleeping on it we decided to go back the next day and play with that one puppy some more. After playing with him one on one we fell in love and decided to take him home. Just like he said, Mark gave us step by step instructions, taking over an hour in the process, helped set us up with all the essentials for a new pup and was just really nice the whole time. As far as the price of everything, the dog was a very good price for the breed of dog and while the stuff in the store is not cheap, it is high quality and you get what you pay for.
We have had Chewbacca in the house for about a week now and he is already a great addition to the family. He is already doing really well with his potty training because of what they do in the store to help that. He is adjusting great and is very healthy. We have called the store 2 or 3 times to ask questions and Jeff and Lisa were very patient and informative. As part of buying a puppy there much of the health care is included at the animal hospital right down the road which is also a nice perk. We had a really great experience and if we are ever looking for a brother or sister for Chewy we would definitely come back here.

Overall a horrible experience, upon walking in no one greeted me, not even a simple Hello. As I stood looking at the puppies, I felt the eyes of the workers stare at me (keep in mind still no one asked if I needed help). I continued to walk around the store, and a lady followed me around, but still was not speaking. These workers act as if they own a trillion dollar business and pay no mind to you unless you show them that you want a dog at that moment. I was interested in a beautiful Pomeranian there, but I would never give money to such arrogant and rude people. Word of advice: you own a puppy store, it does not take much of an education nor experience to make maybe a little over minimum wage to sell puppies. Maybe if they were a little more kind, there business would do better.

I couldn’t wait to get home and write this review. I live close by to this store and stopped in because I wanted to get some accessories for my puppy. At first all went well, staff seemed nice. I misunderstood what the woman said and I walked to the back where the puppies were. I got reprimanded for that (I was just looking, didn’t touch the dogs or anything.) So at this point I’m already turned off. The woman helping me was extremely rude. After seeing a picture of my dog, she made a comment about her hair being too short for her age. and I should «cross my fingers» that the hair grows back okay. My dog was taken to a reputable groomer and I have no qualms about her hair. And now for the grand finale. The owner was in the back screaming at an employee. The woman helping me says to me, «looks like someone’s getting fired today!» Can’t really get much more unprofessional than that. I got what I needed and left. I won’t spend any more of my money in that store. Please pass this place by unless you don’t mind rude customer service. Oh, and the whole store is TOTALLY overpriced. I wouldn’t spend that much on my own clothes let alone clothes for my dog. Ridiculous.
I will be fair and say that the stuff they have in the store is incredibly cute and if I made six figures, I’d definitely shop there for accessories and whatnot.

If I could give 0 stars I would. HORRIBLE experience with their staff, vets, and financing options. Jeff was the sales associate who I dealt with when buying my puppy. Do NOT believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He just wants to get the deal done any which way. He explained to me they had a financing company and I qualified for it and I had a year to pay it off with minimal interest. It all sounded good until the $ 3000 loan went to $ 7000 within a month. DO NOT use WAGS financing. He won’t return my calls and instead had his boss call me back. Once I spoke to LISA his boss, she was quite standoffish on the phone and explained how the store has no responsibility and it’s all in the paperwork. They also said my frenchie was certified BLUE making her more rare and of course much pricier. As the dog matured in the first month I had her she was clearly a brindle. They are MONEY HUNGRY frauds with a friendly façade.
