Nice guys work there. The food is prepared pretty well. Like most deli’s it could use less mayonnaise in there chicken salads. OY.haha. They make a great chopped salad fresh for you! Panini’s are yummy but beware if you try to drive and eat it, ’cause it will end up in your lap.

Very friendly staff has taken over sometime on the last 2 years or so, and thank god for that! The sandwiches here are massive and very very tasty. They also have some small seating areas both in and outdoors. Tons of options to choose from, more than most other delis on Long Island, and they have this delicious unique chicken salad… usually I add a ¼ pound of this in addition to my egg sandwich or my chicken cutlet sand. Good to go for sure.

They always screw up whatever you order. I started going here after porcos became Gold Coast deli and quickly went down hill but then this place was bought by Gold Coast deli and has quickly gone down hill too. They have little check cards they fill out to make sure you get what you ask for but somehow they still manage to mess it up! How is that possible? I have given this place second and third chances but I’m done. I will find someplace new. Today I ordered a sausage egg and cheese and they filled out the card with those ingredients but then they gave me a bacon egg and cheese. I guess the cook can’t read or just does not know the difference between sausage and bacon. Either way I’m done!

I don’t know, I came in one morning for an egg sandwich, and was helped by the owner or the manager. Really nice guy, and the egg sandwich was great. As a side note, someone called in a phone order, and wanted a «mac-and-cheese egg sandwich». The clerk literally said«um, is this a joke?» No one know WTF the guy was talking about. I’m thinking the tough reviews for G2G are more the clients than the deli …

Have driven past here hundreds of times and stopped in today for the first time. I guess you have to be a regular to get pleasant service. The guy who took my order was nice enough but the guy who made my sandwich had an attitude like he was doing me a favor and the guy who rang me up before the sandwich was made was out and out nasty and impatient. My sandwich was missing the lettuce and tomato — for which I paid. $ 9 for a mediocre turkey sandwich that was not done«my way» is stupid. I won’t be going back. I gave them 2 stars because the place was clean. They get no stars for food because the sandwich sucked as did the service. There are dozens of other places in Huntington that are MUCH better.

i went to this deli for some years before I got fed up with how mean and abusive the owner is toward his employees. Food is good, but not worth supporting that man. Spend the 10 minutes and drive down the street to the Woodbury Country Deli– better food and nicer owner!

This has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had ordering food. My family has been in the restaurant business for over 25yrs and would never dream of treating a customer this way. First of all, my husband orders a Mexican panini, and I a buffalo chicken salad on a roll with melted pepper jack. After waiting for some time it seemed my order was being shifted to someone who was not very food/customer friendly. This man takes the display sandwich and begins to grill it on the panini grill. Humm, first of all, I wanted a «fresh» sandwich not the display second it was on a «hero roll» and not panini bread. When I asked the man if I could have a freshly made sandwich he began to get upset, and replied” it was made today,” and«what am I going to do with this one?» Then throwing the sandwich on the floor, and groveling to his coworkers loud enough for us to hear that he was displeased with having to make a fresh sandwich! As for my sandwich, it was also added to the panini grill, and was chicken salad with mayo that is now getting really hot. In any event, as we were settling up he then turns to us and said” next time order a fresh sandwich”. I replied«that should be automatic. I did not know I was supposed to ask NOT to have the display.» He was arguing for the last word and even the staff had to ask him to be quiet. Too bad to see that poor staff will keep us from returning. We paid $ 22.00 for two sandwiches made by a less then adequate and experienced person. Over all if you like being miss treated and waitingt too long for your food then this is the place for you. My suggestion would be to pass this one by. Very displeased !!

This deli is interesting. It’s located in a place where you constantly drive by and wonder what that place is like and then one day you’ll just get the idea to go check it out because well, why not? So I come in on a Monday at off hours around 4:00 and I wasn’t sure if they were open or not. There was an area for coffee to the right but there were no canisters or brewed coffee in site. Then there was a sign for a salad bar yet no salad in site. The man behind the counter stepped forward and asked if I needed help. I asked if they were open and he said yes. I didn’t want to be one of those people who come in a minute before closing and it sure seemed like they were closing. Just an FYI they don’t close until 6 on Mondays. So I asked if they had a salad bar and was told to fill out my order on a sheet. I felt a little rushed so I mentioned that this was my first time here. So many options for salads but where is this salad. Where are the toppings? Most places with a chopped salad bar have some sort of display? Odd… SO I THOUGHT. BUT, here’s the thing. I handed the gentleman my order and he went into the fridge to pull out all of these ingredients. Really? A deli that actually keeps their products under the conditions they should be kept at??? SHOCKING! Most salad bars have the food sitting out for god only knows how long, who knows how many hands have touched those hard boiled eggs, or how many fingers have reached into the cheese to help themselves. Finally Finally Finally a place with proper healthy sanitary conditions!!! I was thrilled! AND, you could taste the difference! The salad I ordered was a small and it was a VERY generous portion and everything tasted fresh like it had been stored properly. I was very happy. The salad wasn’t cheap but then again it was a big portion so I had no problem with the price. Once I was checking out I noticed the coffee behind the counter. Had it been displayed on the counter in front of the restaurant I probably would have bought a cup but by the time I noticed it I was no longer interested. However, I noticed a crumb cake flavored coffee that I will be all about next time I come in. Definitely will be back and the customer service was friendly which is always a plus.

Good 2 Go is annoying… in a good way. I can go in there, take a look at the menu and wonder what to order forever. Lots of your typical deli fare along with an entire menu of panini’s, wraps and egg platters. Very good fresh iced teas and iced coffees. Great service when no one is in there but you might have to wait a bit if there are a few people ahead of you(–1 star). Also, there is no room to eat inside and only a few tables outside so make sure you are planning on taking your food to go.(–1 star)

Just a quick update and a thank you, after falling in love with their Jalapeño cheddar cornbread and them not having it for a while I inquired why it wasn’t there? The woman(Julie?) who cooks all their baked items asked when I would be around again and she would take the request… Anyways with my crazy job schedule I stopped in and poof it was there!!! Oh and the Rocky Road Brownies… A new fave.

After driving by this new deli with its sprouting American flags for a few days, I finally entered the darkened location on Friday night to find a warm and inviting layout the without the tedious overcrowding of products that’s normal in Huntington, NY area delis. I was immediately greeted by the owner as the business was in the process of closing, but the store was open to my command, which was a good feeling, so I ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich I was thinking of. After I left, I feasted on one of the best tasting sandwiches I have had in recent memory. The chicken tasted as if it was just pulled from the baking oven and the sourdough roll was equally fresh. Returning on Saturday afternoon after another trip to Huntington, I spied a brilliant red tomato soup with pasta shells floating on top that lured my interest. I ordered two pints to go and later, I was floating with the pure taste of home made tomato soup and fresh pasta. I have made a note to myself to return to this deli in the future as I would like to experience some the other things it does. For me, it’s service and quality is soundly above most of the delis in the greater Huntington, NY vicinity.

After the last deli here closed over a year ago due to mismanagement, this location has reopened with a more cozy feeling, better sandwiches, menu and ambiance. The new management is catering towards the come-and-go crowd of the area, with a nice(but much smaller than before) hot bar and soups. The coffee and tea is available as an «all-you-can-drink» option which is smart to publicize that, yet there are not enough chairs to sit and enjoy a few coup-o-joe’s before going back to your daily routine. A few bar stools are around the windows for the few that can eat there and the rest I’ve seen eating in their trucks or cars in the parking lot. The menu looks good with a huge selection of breakfast items, wraps, sandwiches and salad/healthy options. Plenty of side dishes are available as well such as salads, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, tuna and even cold food that you can take home and re-heat in case you are a little late making lunch or dinner. Nothing in the menu is over $ 10. I do like the ambiance of the new place and the eager to please new workers who try their best to be nice and give you good service. However, here are my suggestions: 1. The menus hanging off the wall, way high up, either need to be brought down a little or make them bigger as the writing is too small and hard to read… specially if I am not wearing my reading glasses. 2. A system to serve people needs to be developed… like the«take-a-number» system as when it gets crowded, it does get a little confusing and no one knows who has been served or not… I did order my Bavarian Panini which was very delicious and with plenty of everything inside. I had it for lunch and at 5pm I was still full! I also ordered the side macaroni salad which was quite tasty. With the minor hiccups of opening a new place, it does have quite a promising future. Highly recommend it this place for a great breakfast and to go sandwiches. Can’t wait to go back and try the hot bar and everything else in the menu. By the way, they deliver!
