Beautiful theater, but your butt will be hurting after a couple hours. Seriously, though, some of my fondest memories of being a student at MU happened here. I’ve seen countless movies and performers there.

Americana at its best. There are very few places in America where you can step back in time and feel you are in the past. This movie/theatre hall has been kept in art deco design that is still immaculate. Concerts, dance recitals, countless movies, and plays are enjoyable at this location. The megaplex theatres are okay, but lose their charm as they are the same from city to city. May this place always be a national treasure that is cared for.

This is the most beautiful theatre I have actually ever been in. I am in Huntington with friends, just hanging out, and we stumbled across the Appalachian Film Festival at the Albee Theatre. The movie was saw was pretty sweet, but the theatre is BEAUTIFUL. It’s a guilded opera theatre looking interior, right out of fin de siecle America… amazing. We stood there in awe for about ten minutes after the show, just marveling. It’s worth paying admission just to look around inside. Like I said, the most beautiful theatre I’ve ever been in. Huntington, WV, who knew?
