Only stopped in here for their candy – they have peanut brittle which I LOVE and which the other candy store in town DOESNOT have, not even at Xmas :(The candy is lovely, fresh and delicious which is nice considering it’s a chain. I have not yet tried the ice cream – the candy is worth fighting for a parking spot but haven’t had the stomach to do that for the ice cream yet.

The cookies and crème ice cream and chocolate covered oreos are to die for. I love coming here after a nice dinner with friends. If you are in Huntington Village you need to make this a stop on your list.

I’m normally really verbose with my reviews, but I’ll make this short. This place doesn’t need fluff to be amazing. The fudge is the perfect blend of sweet and salty and chewy. The ice cream is rich and creamy, and you can taste the authenticity of this place. The hot beverage are full of flavor and worth your walk past Starbucks to get here ANYDAY.

Nice little candy shop/ice cream parlor in Huntington specializing in fudge. Best are their chocolate dipped Rice Crispy treats. Their caramel apples are good too. I do find their fudge to be a tad too sweet. Some times huffy staff and seriously high prices for some items keep me from being a regular. But, the dipped Rice Crispy treats keep me coming back.

the BEST ice cream in the village! So worth that calories LOL Didn’t get to try the fudge but when walking in the server asks if I would like a free sample, I had my eyes on the ice cream but will try next time. good selection(I usually get the mint chocolate chip-it has normal size chocolate chips, not those half of a bar candy bar size). Coconut has a kick to it, makes me think I’m on a beach somewhere, a natural coconut taste. Best $$ you will spend on dessert for ice cream!

Gotta finally review this place after many happy visits. Let’s start with the ice cream. They have awesome flavors and yes you can sample away. The maple nut and toasted coconut were my winners. So so goood! Now their selection of fudge are insane and chocolate

After perusing the dessert menu at a fine dining establishment, we decided Kilwin’s ice cream was the best option. An after dinner stroll around the entire downtown area to justify the coming caloric expense; we reached our destination with eager anticipation. I chose a small dish with 2 scoops– pistachio and toasted coconut. Pistachio chock full of large nuts in a smooth creamy base with no artificial taste. The toasted coconut as great as it was last time here! Go now– you want this Pro Tip– resist the urge to wolf this down, let it temper and slowly savor it as it gets softer and creamier

What a great little place for Ice Cream. There was a line out the door for Ben and Jerry’s across the street, but we overheard two people sitting outside saying Kilwin’s was better. Since I hate waiting on line and I prefer to support indie shops, I get them a go. GREAT! Such a cute shop with lots of off-beat flavors. You can sample what you like and the ice cream is fresh and excellent. The people behind the counter are really friendly, too. They deserve more business. Go check them out.

usually after a night out in Huntington Village I like to have a slice standing at the counter at Porto Fino. because I rarely indulge in a slice of pizza, this is an ethereal event… but last night after a fantastic dinner at Fado and drinks at Meehan’s, we came across Kilwins while walking around town. Now, as many have stated, decent ice cream is well represented in town. This was an impulse purchase… a freshly made waffle cone with a coconut chip type and an AMAZING salted caramel scoop(which Lee M felt was a bit too salty, which it was, but in a good way). Maybe it was the buzzzzz… but this was some of the best ice cream that I have ever had. This is the place that you want to try… skip B&J or Herrell’s…I promise you will be pleased that you did !!

Damn, son. You done did it this time! Kilwins has stepped up the ice cream game in what is a pretty saturated ice cream market In Hton Village. Step it up, everyone! The shop itself isn’t large and there was a line when I arrived, but it moves fast, so don’t go running out if you’re in a rush. Besides the 20ish(?) flavors of ice cream they had(including salted caramel, praline pecan, turtle cheesecake, blueberry waffle cone, among others), the shop has a drool-worthy display of chocolates. Truffles, turtles, peanut butter cups, smothered Oreo’s… it’s all there and it looks delish. With the weather finally heating up, head here to cool down. Thank me later. Do it.

Kilwins’s has arrived in Huntington Village… locally owned and operated though a long established Michigan based franchise. it adds a bit more fun to the town. With sea salt caramel ice cream among other creative flavors, homemade fudge and candy made right in the window to see, covered apples, and assorted dipped fruit, popcorn etc. it took no time to become popular. It is just down the street from Bön Bön’s a long established chocolatier, and across from Ben & Jerry’s for ice cream, but it seems to have it’s own crowd somewhere in between the two places. Jill made me an amazing candy apple to go when I stopped in and there were only plain caramel’s left. Fired up(tempered) the chocolate, crushed some pecans, and filled a pastry bag to drizzle chocolate, then put in ice cream fridge for a few minutes and boxed … very customer friendly. Apple was too big to eat for a person… I’m going to try doing a few slices to see if it holds up. If not it could all be undone.
