If I can give this marshalls a negative 500 for customer service I would. This marshalls isn’t around me so I figured I’d call to ask about a pair of shoes, I hate doing it because 99% of people are lazy and don’t want to walk around and look but I gave it a shot. I WASPLACEDONHOLDFOR52MINUTES. I called back got such a disgusting attitude from whoever picked up was so annoyed and I told the girl I was placed on hold for that long and she says«oh, okay so…» And I said so please at LEAST look for the shoes she puts me on hold AGAIN and a few minutes later says«Nope sorry not here». I literally wanted to go through the phone and hit her on the head with shoes. NEVEREVER going to that marshalls. I really hope the manager or someone in that store reads this and rethinks about their horrible lazy employees who have peanuts for a brain. No I’m not normally that mean normally but at least come back to the phone and lie nicely saying sorry we don’t have them.

I shop in this Marshalls only because of the location. Personally, i have shopped in much better stores owned by this company. The selections of childrens shoes is always horrible. NEVER have sizes available for my children. The seasonal selections are sparse. The men’s department is also in need of more merchandise(. I shop for everyone in my family all the time.) As far as customer service i have never had an issue.

The customer service at this Marshalls location is hands down the worst I have ever experienced. This is not flukey, this is consistent, rude, clueless, abrasive customer service that makes me never want to step foot inside this store again. Two separate occasions have left me really upset. The first was when I tried returning a blouse which still had the tags on. I no longer had the receipt unfortunately, but their return policy states that if you return an item which still has the tags on, you will receive store credit, awesome. So, in I go with this blouse, with the tags and I am told this store does not carry such an item. Wait, so this blouse, with a Marshalls tag still attached is not from… Marshalls? I asked to speak to a manager and she came out, spoke in a hushed tone with the woman working behind the cashier and said she has never seen this blouse before and that this store has never sold this shirt. SO, I go over to the clothes rack, which is exactly where I had found the shirt a week prior, found the SAME shirt, brought it to the cashier and said, HELLO, here is the shirt that you, «Don’t sell here.» Then, the manager proceeded to examine the shirt. She came to the conclusion that the shirt had been washed and that I was unable to return it for a refund or store credit. So, this shirt that still has the tags on, unwrinkled, perfectly dry, has been washed? When you wash a shirt with the tag on, the tag gets completely ruined or falls off. I was livid and ended up giving the $ 60 shirt away to salvation army. I was so put off by the attitude I was given by the manager. THEN, a year after that, I purchase a suitcase from the Marshalls in Farmingdale. I pack the suitcase with my clothes and start my trek to the airport. It’s a wheel suitcase by the way. I get to the airport and the foundation of the suitcase completely breaks and leads me to have to purchase a suitcase elsewhere and transport all of my things from the broken suitcase to the other. Thank goodness this happened before I got to my destination. Anyways, the day I got back from my trip, I went to THIS Marshalls to return the suitcase. I had the receipt, and although the tags were taken of the suitcase, I should be able to receive store credit since I was doing this return within days of the purchase and still had the receipt. A male store manager came out, examined the suitcase and told me that it had been used and that I was unable to return it. I said, yes, it was used. I put my clothes in it, brought it to the airport and while I was in the airport it completely fell apart. He said, no ma’am this suitcase has definitely been used for multiple trips. Wait, look at my receipt. It was purchased 5 days prior, how many trips do you think I can go on in five days??? He told me that since he doesn’t know what the condition of the suitcase was like when I purchased it that he was not able to accept the return. Wait a freaking second. The store manager was unaware of the condition the suitcase was in before I bought it??? I am pretty sure Marshalls sells unused items… what condition do you think it was in? He gave me SUCH attitude and then WALKEDAWAY while I was in the middle of talking to him. Like I started off saying, the WORST customer service I have experienced. GO to the Marshalls on 110 in Farmingdale. It is like NIGHT and DAY with the customer service.

Being an old school type of guy(or maybe just old) I don’t shop very often for myself. The two or three times a year I go out to buy clothes hardly qualifies me to rate stores. I like Marshalls because I can go in scope out what they have pretty easily pay and take off. I don’t have to deal with sales people and the prices are reasonable.

Not really a big fan of this location. Their selection of holiday items was very small. Their home section is also really small. I understand this is a discount store and theres a lot of picking through things to do but there was stuff just thrown everywhere… all over the floor. Bad scene. Also 2⁄3 of the stuff I picked up didnt even have a tag on it. Blah.
