I really hate to post this bad review because I like the doctors here. They’re professional a very kind. The problem I’m having is with the billing department. I recently retired and having no health insurance has led me to use the VA medical center, which is a great place for veterans. The VA has a program that allows veterans to use outside medical facilities if they have to wait more than 30 days to get an appointment with the VA. Since I have some serious eye problems, the VA suggested I use this program in order to be seen by a doctor ASAP I wanted to go to Tri state eye center since I believe them to be the best at eye care. The problem is they won’t accept the veterans choice program. They said I had to pay up front then get reimbursed from the VA I don’t understand why blue shield or any other insurance is more reliable than a veterans insurance. I’m very disappointed. The VA has made arrangements for me to see another doctor already, so all is well. I think they could’ve at least called the toll free number on my insurance card to get the facts.

Despite what the previous reviewer said, my husband and I have had nothing but great experiences with Tri-State Eye Care Center. The staff members are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The two optometrists are a pair of brothers. They are exceptionally kind and very thorough. They each take the time to explain exactly what they are doing and why. Tri-State also has a great selection of glasses and sunglasses to choose from. I would definitely recommend Tri-State Eye Care Center to anyone!
