Like many have said — the gym is great. And the value is excellent. The family membership is $ 100 a month, with no contract, and on top of gym /pool access for everyone, there are swim lessons, camp, activities, and more for the kids(though these programs do cost extra). There is plenty of cardio equipment. I mostly use the treadmills and have never had to wait, even at peak times. The class schedule is full of options. The equipment is everything you need — lots of free weights(including a squat rack), machines, floor mats, kettlebells, and more. The gym is adequate for experienced athletes /bodybuilders, though you won’t see many here. Plus, they have 2 pools, which is great if you swim. The clientele tends to be older(50+), families, or high school kids. So, if you’re looking for a trendy gym, this isn’t the place. The only major negative, in my opinion, are the locker rooms /showers. They are old and outdated and are in desperate need of an update. I’m also not a fan of the open shower layout. I’m not insecure, but I’d MUCH rather shower in the privacy of a stall(as most people would, I suspect). It’s not a huge deal, because I rarely use the locker room, though I would more often if these issues were fixed.

I usually use the climber machine, which the Y has 5 of. They’re usually all taken by the time I arrive. Same case with the stairmaster. This is obviously annoying but then I have to wait half an hour at most and have my name on the machine sign up sheet only for people to ignore my name because they jumped on the machine a minute before I had the chance to. I’ve had arguments with people about this before. Apart from this, the Y has a good selection of machines and a cheap membership price, so I’m content.

Overall the gym here really is a great value. It’s clean, the equipment and locker rooms are new and the price is right. I can only comment on the pool and the gym, haven’t taken the classes here. As far as the staff go, I haven’t had an issue with them but than again when I work out I really don’t focus on other people.

The«annex» gym(were group classes are given) have been given a little sprucing up. The studio rooms floor have been replaced which is a major plus. I’ve noticed that the floors look cleaner and that is helping a bit on the appearance of the place. However, locker and shower areas are still not renovated and in need of replacement. Tables and chairs have been added to the lobby area and gives families and those parents waiting for the kids to come out of classes, a place to sit, read, have coffee and relax.

This is by far the worst place ever! The staff is rude and somewhat dimwitted, the hall ways stink of chlorine to the point where you can’t breathe, the bathrooms are gross! Ugh! sometimes I feel dirty when I walk out of there. There are so many gyms in town that are half the price of this place, I rather give my money to one of them.

I went here for pre-k nearly 30 years ago, & now it’s newly renovated & has an even more amazing gym. Thanks to the help of the staff I lost 50lbs! There’s more than one pool, the gym equipment is new & partitioners are always polite & take turns.
