We were just checking out the cats and kittens (and puppies). We left with the most awesome dog. We had been to maybe ten other shelters in the DC area and weren’t very happy with the experience at almost all of them. This place is the real deal (for a pet rescue). They weren’t creepy or all up in your business. They have a great playroom. The place is really clean. The staff is great. They make you feel really comfortable and give you space. CAWL is great!
