Months and months to get a simple tile install completed. Got an estimate. Called back a couple weeks later to give the go ahead. And then called again. And again. And again. Emailed. Called. Finally spike with someone who looked up the account and said«2 – 3 day job.» Ended up being 6 with a break for us to be on vacation. What’s worse is they sub-contract. The guy that did the work was polite and attempted to keep the schedule as contained as possible. More concerned about the install being correct than rushed. Issue here, was if Floor Systems had come out at any point before or as install was going to start, we could have avoided using ½″ backer board when the clearance for our doors really called for ¼″.(never did come out) So now our side door weather stripping rubs the tile as you open, and we can’t re-install our basement stairway door. It won’t open. So now I have to re-hang a door because Floor System didn’t bother showing up to work with their sub-contractor. They just threw it all on him. To the installer thanks for being patient. Other tha. Being ¼″ higher than ideal, it looks good. Hope it wasn’t too much of a headache trying to sort things with us, since they didn’t seem to be interested in seeing the project management through.
