Rainbow Chimes Daycare

I would not recommend this place! My son is now 2 and has been going there for 6 months now. He had 4 teachers leave in the first 4 months! We were told they left due to family reasons, such as had a grand baby born, needed to stay home with a baby, medical leave and a sudden resignation for no reason. Turns out teachers are leaving by the handfuls because the director Allen is a total nightmare! And I can attest to that! He is a total Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde person! He first comes off as a sweet old man, who considers the kids as his grandkids, playa the piano for them, and has a soothing voice and demeanor. However, when you have a complaint about a teacher, when you didn’t like something and you want to speak to him, when you want your money back — he becomes rude, dismissive, unprofessional, laughs at your face, hangs up the phone, doesn’t call back, immediately sticks up for bad teachers and basically tells you to shut up, doesn’t follow up on a complaint, lies and ignores obvious violations and serious problems! I am not exaggerating. Teachers left because of him, and he hires people that have poor experience, no education or low level education. He keeps teachers around that multiple parents complaint about with serious complaints, while allowing good teachers to leave. I spoke to a teacher who left due to her mistreatment by Allen and poor satisfaction with their job. Teachers who care for children have a tough job as it is, they need to be happy and feel appreciated by their superiors, not be upset or angry. Because that attitude affects the children. Allen has an anger problem and needs to be removed as the director or who ever he is, before he brings the whole place down! The infant room is a total nightmare! With absolute negligence, safety issues, poor hygiene, poor diaper care, horrible teachers that change all the time, teachers with long nails that scratch babies, who don’t follow parent’s wishes, and put on loud rap music that is inappropriate for any child! I will be sending this review to Katie the founder, because she is clueless as to how her center is run down by Allen and the bad people he holds on to around him. The good things are: my son enjoys going there, he learned and learns so much, facility is new, clean, with plenty of fun playground space, lots of parking, they do many interesting activities including the «fun bus», the good teachers are great, they offer breakfast (not great options), lunch (very good and nutritionally varied) and a snack (not healthy). They cook their own food with their private chef, and have a refrigerator if you want to bring extra food. Ms. Stacey is wonderful, but I am afraid she won’t stick around for long. It’s a really nice place, however, the director and bad teachers must be replaced immediately!

I love Rainbow Chimes (RCI) and recommend it to everyone I know looking for quality childcare. I have 2 boys at the school and they couldn’t be happier. They are well fed, well cared for and learn something new every day. There is a rule that the child has to be in the classroom by, 9 or 9:30 am to receive the school’s breakfast. It can be frustrating if you don’t know and are running late, which I know can happen but they aren’t starving the children. In fact, it is the only place in town with it’s own private chef who makes the meals. Breakfast is usually a bagel, cereal or french toast but the lunches are great. My two year old was eating salad! No place is perfect and you have to. find the one that works best for your family. I found many places don’t have the hours many working parents require and the in home day cares were glorified baby sitters. Rainbow Chimes is a school and it’s the right place for my family.
