I just moved to Huntsville, and since by previous haircutter was on maternity leave when I left Atlanta, I was on the lookout for a new barber. A quick Google search brought back the Cajun Barber. That sounds like fun, doesn’t it? Well… I walked in and was greeted immediately, and took a seat waiting for a chair to open up. My eyes were brought to the TV(as is my nature). Next to the TV is a sign saying that they will not allow ABC stations in their shop since they see them as pushing a gay agenda(my paraphrase). I immediately got up and left. Putting aside the paranoid idea that the Disney company is concerned about any agenda save their market share, I don’t want to do business with someone who so openly displays his bigotry. And, given that the sign was itself concerning a boycott of a business with whose beliefs he disagrees, I’m not sure he’d want my business anyway. I’ll take my money elsewhere, and I’d encourage those who feel strongly about equality(or even those who get their idea of Christianity from the Sermon on the Mount, and not from Bill O’Reilly) to do likewise.
