Honestly I didn’t expect very much going in, but I was looking for a cheap couch so I wasn’t going to split hairs. They didn’t have anything I liked, but as I was leaving I noticed that they had a brand new couch all wrapped up and factory new. You couldn’t tell what it looked like, so I asked the owner if it would be possible to unwrap it so that I could look at it. Instead of showing me the couch the owner took me and my boyfriend into the main office, where he said he could show us a picture of what that couch looked like in the catalogue. He sat there for about six minutes flipping through random furniture catalogues on his desk as he gave us a sales pitch about ordering furniture out of them. My boyfriend and I looked at the pictures of furniture pinned up on the main wall of the office as we waited, and at one point I pointed one picture out and said that I really liked the couch in that set. The owner immediately says, «Oh, that’s what that couch out there looks like.» Since I wasn’t expecting to be mislead or lied to, I said, «Oh, that’s lucky! Can we look at it?» But again instead of showing us the couch in the warehouse he just flipped to the page in the catalogue that showed the couch on the wall that I’d pointed to, and started talking prices. I assumed that since the couch in the warehouse was still all wrapped up and new that it wouldn’t have any damages, and the owner assured me that it was exactly the same as the picture he was showing me in the catalogue. I went ahead and paid for the couch as well as the $ 25 delivery fee. The owner told us that they would deliver the couch that day(a Friday) before 5pm, and would call us around 4pm to let us know they were getting ready to bring it by. Around 5:15pm we still hadn’t heard from them, so we called them and were told that the owner was having a family emergency and would not be able to deliver the couch as planned, but we could call tomorrow and they would see about delivering it over the weekend. That did not happen. We called and called and they never picked up. On Monday we called again and were told that they would not be able to deliver our couch until Thursday, because they were very busy. I was annoyed, but I waited. Thursday comes around and we call them(we always had to call them, they never called us even though they asked for my phone number when I paid for the couch), only to be told that now they are going out on Friday morning to «buy us a better couch», because the one in the warehouse«was not actually the right one» and they will deliver it that day. I can only imagine that this means that either the couch in the warehouse was in fact NOT what I paid for and never was, and they knowingly lied to me and had to go pick up the correct couch from wherever their supplier was, or that they sold the couch to someone else/damaged it somehow after I paid for it and had to go get another one. I still don’t know if I’m going to get this couch today, but it’s been a week and I still don’t have what I paid for when they promised it on the day I bought it. The whole process has been shady and frustrating, I’m never going to purchase anything from this place ever again, and I suggest that you don’t either, unless you can fit it in your own vehicle and bring it home with you as soon as you pay for it.
