Really dig this place for their food, vibe, and grounds. Very friendly and great bbq. The family loved hanging out on the lawn for over an hour after dinner one evening. Would love to return!

I just moved here from texas and someone told about this place when i was up in the mountains backpacking so I thought id try it out. Ill tell you what! If you want some good Texas BBQ this is the place. The rub on the brisket was amazing and it had an amazing defined smoke ring. They had great sauces to try out each one was crafted after a different region of Texas. I dont care where you are in utah or southern Idaho this is worth the drive and if you live any where near Ogden/Huntsville you better put this on the to try list. Load the kids up and Taste what BBQ should taste like.

Please don’t pass out when I say this but… I’m not a fan of BBQ. In general I like it fine but I never go out of my way to partake of it & I definitely don’t ever crave it. HUNTSVILLEBBQ has made me a changed woman! I now BELIEVE in BBQ! I have been craving this for months now. First let’s start with the side dishes. Oh my deary dear. The creamed corn was sweet and well… perfectly creamy. The fries had a optimal amount of crunch and the seasoning made me want to go back for more and more. The coleslaw was not too sweet and not too vinegary. I loved the crunch it had to it too. Helped me feel like it was at least a little good for me. The BBQ sauce options were awesome. I am 100% a sauce dipper and so I loved the variety of flavors/options. I tend to go for the sweet and spicy. Lastly the beef brisket. My first bite was one that would make you cry. When then the rub hit my tongue I wanted to shout for joy. «This is why people love BBQ!» It was moist and tasty. TASTY. I will be back & I will now be called a BBQBELIEVER because of you! My imaginary cowboy hat is tipped to you.

My wife and I love the food here. However, the last three times we have visited we have been informed after ordering and paying that certain meats were not available. Two times our second choice was not available either. The menu consists of small boards with the meat items printed on them. Each board can be removed easily if the item is not available and yet on each visit the items we ordered were posted. On Friday night, we were first told that we would have to wait an additional 10 minutes. That was not an issue for us. Then, another person told us that the meats were coming from the other location and would arrive in 25 minutes. Okay, we were willing to wait for that. Then, a third person told us that when those meats arrived they would have to cook longer so our wait could now be well over an hour. We then detailed our previous similar experiences and asked for a full refund. The food is very good but the management and updated menu posting needs a lot of work! Visit with a warning that the posted menu may not be accurate. We hope things improve and we will visit again and give them another shot. We will update our review also.

Good Texas BBQ good barbecue sauce not too heavy to light good coleslaw when is a better barbecue joints I’ve ate at in Utah because it’s such a small place and sometimes very busy the service could be a little better good even though the waiters and waitresses are overloaded they remain to be friendly

I try a lot of BBQ in my travels and have decided I like Texas style best, which is what this place does so I go fairly regularly. I never order chicken or dessert and you should expect pulled pork to be good anywhere. This place makes moist, tender, and flavorful pork ribs and beef brisket that is higher on the scale of difficulty. Their chili is a meal by itself and the broccoli slaw a pleasant surprise. It’s priced consistent with other BBQ ordered at a counter. They have four or so good sauce choices. Yes, they can run out of something just like any other BBQ joint. One less star only because they turned me away exactly at closing once. Owner/manager apologized for it the next visit and said that never should have happened. BBQ without beer seems odd, but hey, it’s Utah. I still believe it’s the best in the state.

This place was way over rated. First time trying it and most likely will not b back. The only thing worth trying is the brisket and Carolina sauce. Don’t think about trying that dry chicken

To the owner of Huntsville BBQ: if you post 11:00 am as your opening time, we would appreciate if you and your staff were ready to serve customers at that time. We came all the way to Huntsville to enjoy an early holiday lunch and were turned away by your staff saying the meat for the day had not arrived and wouldn’t be ready for about an hour. I get good barbecue takes time but if your not going to be ready to serve customers at 11:00AM. Don’t post it as your opening time online. Maybe on my next visit I can actually review the food. I’ve heard good things.

My very very favorite BBQ place. The prices are a little high to me but if you watch you can find coupons. We got one in our entertainment book and that’s what started our relationship with this place. The food is always excellent and if you go on a Friday or Saturday night in the summer they usually have live music out back so you get dinner and a great show. We live in the Ogden area so it’s about a 30 minute beautiful drive up there. We make the trip regularly now.

Pretty dang good bbq, and I’m from Texas so I know what’s up. Sure, the line might be out the door but it moves quickly. Take your number and head out back. There’s a huge grassy yard where kids can run around and play without being disruptive. On weekends they have live music in the evenings. Might not be the greatest talent, but even bad live music is better than boring radio. Now to the meat of the matter(har har). The food is GOOD! Tender, moist, and a delicious spread of sauces to accompany. My only complaint is that the small family meal(advertised as feeding 3 – 4) is definitely only going to feed 3. Only comes with 3 pieces of bread so even if you try to make the meat stretch you still have to ask for more bread. Do yourself a favor and just get the large family meal. Worst case scenario you have leftovers(can’t complain about bbq leftovers!) really great food. Might even be worth the drive all by itself but, especially if you’re in town anyway, you gotta try it out!

This place is legit! This would be very good BBQ in any major city and the desserts are fantastic. The pork ribs were the best meat by far, not baby back but unique and tremendous flavor. The brisket was very good, had the perfect red ring of flavor. Pulled pork was decent but I think you can find better things on the menu. Now on to desserts… the Banana pudding is ridiculous. It’s worth it’s own trip. Did I mention the Banana Pudding? Really friendly, family-feel staff. Cool, heavy wood, dark interior… perfect for devouring BBQ. 4+ unique BBQ sauces to choose from pump-dispensed so it’s allllll good.

The food could have gotten a 3.5, maybe even a 4 star review but the service was terrible. 15 minutes after ordering we were told they ran out of what we ordered, we ordered something different, ten minutes later they said they did actually have our original order, after another ten or so minutes we asked where our food was and they had forgotten our order. It took over 40 minutes to get a few pulled pork sandwiches. On top of that their drink machine was broken and two of the four barbeque sauces were cold.

Sadly not great! Just not good food:(as remote as the location is and with best of state awards on the wall I had high expectations. Did not like the pinkish chicken and tasteless salad. Cute atmosphere, but if you are hungry eat almost anywhere else.

Food was just ok for a BBQ, and the price was pretty high. I wasn’t a big fan of the portion size, but the bbq sauce is what saves the food. I just couldn’t believe how little food I received for how much I paid. Plus the peach cobbler was not made from scratch it was out of a can.

After experiencing Pappys in St. Louis my boyfriend and I were convinced that we would never be satisfied with ribs anywhere else. While these folks are no Pappys, I can honestly say that their ribs gave us hope in Utah BBQ again. The sides(we got Cole slaw, loaded mashed potatoes, potato salad, and a side green salad) were tasty, but nothing to write home about. The roasted chicken on the bone was decent. The brisket was a little on the dry side. The turkey was moist. The pork had a great skin on it, but the winner by far were the ribs. Talk about fall of the bone, these guys were falling off the bone before we even got to them. Fantastic flavor, no sauce needed(although they have a sauce bar). Overall, a cute spot and pretty darn good ribs.

Four great BBQ sauces – sweet, smoky, spicy and sour. Some have vinegar or mustard. Yum! The ribs and brisket were tender and full of flavor. Two sides, a pickle and slice of bread come with every meat order. We tried the creamy corn, broccoli salad and coleslaw. All were excellent! An employee said the loaded potato and baked beans are good choices too. Very clean restaurant with fun old chairlifts to sit in. Service was great. Wish we had time to try the peach cobbler or pecan pie for dessert. We’ll be back!

I love coming here for lunch/dinner with friends, family… you know it!!! A bit disappointed tho; bc they were out of ribs, pulled chicken and peach cobbler! How can you be out of ribs for dinner??? Also, lunch hour at 1pm out of chicken & I know this place doesn’t get that busy with a line out the door, so there should be more than enough food prepped. Extremely disappointed… Also, don’t offer the Unilocal discount if your employees don’t know how to use it? With that being said 3 stars for my updated review! :(
