Wish I read«Marvelous O.» review before I went in for my Groupon facial… The lady didn’t do extraction on me either. When I asked for it, she said she doesn’t normally do them UNLESS it’s asked up front. I’ve never had an esthetician who doesn’t analyze my skin while giving me a facial and then perform extraction if needs to. IDK if I need it or not, that’s what I’m paying an expert, i.e. you, to tell me that. There’s no communication throughout the whole thing. She didn’t say what she’s doing or giving me any verbal thumb up or down about my skin, which would be nice so I can at least know if I’m taking care of my skin correctly. She left the room twice without telling me. I was so confused the first time. When she came back, it startled me because the sliding door was so loud! I was left in the room at least another 3 minutes after the steamer went off. I was left in the small room, on the bed with no cover(I had my cloth on) and under bright lights. I felt like laying in a hospital OR. There was music but it was still freaking eerie. Again, other estheticians massaged my hands, shoulders and neck while they left and waited for the mask or whatever on my face to dry, so forth. This one just upped and left without a word. She wore latex gloves, which was not only stinky but also might had been contaminated. I never heard her wash her hands or smelled alcohol on her gloves after she returned from her mysterious leaves. I didn’t hear her taking her gloves off before she left or putting them on after she came back so I can only assume that she wore them the whole MIA times. The room was small, chilly, bright but very unwelcoming and icky. A couple of the ceiling panels had multiple BROWN water stains. The room smelled musky. The front looked like a doctor’s office, which is fine because I’ve been to similar layout like this where it’s really a doctor’s office with massage/facial therapy add on. However the big difference is the room itself. The other place I’ve been too at least make their room more spa-like. This one is very much like an OR… It was not relaxing at all. The receptionist and the esthetician were nice. I had to reschedule a couple of times and the receptionist was very understanding. The latter just didn’t perform a very thorough facial. I basically paid $ 40 for a face wash… Without Groupon, that would have been $ 80… EEK!

I went here for a facial I purchased through Groupon. The gal at the front desk was kind and polite. The gal who gave me my facial was as we’ll. She chatted with me just enough to make sure I was comfortable then let me relax. That’s really the only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars. Please remember my experience here was for a facial only which made me less harsh on the star rating. No extraction although it was mentioned in the sale. She left me alone a couple times as opposed to sticking around and massaging my shoulders or neck. I kind of felt like she wanted to touch me as little as possible even with her loose gloves on. It was basically only things getting rubbed on and off my face. Nothing special, and no explanation of what was getting out on. No music or noise either aside from trucks going by. As for cleanliness, I felt the place was very dirty. The white doors were black all along the edges where they have clearly never been wiped down. Who knows what isn’t cleaned that isn’t visible. It made me pretty uncomfortable. I wouldn’t want to et anything done there where there’s any risk of infection.

Dr. Posey and his staff are very professional and super friendly. The consultation with Dr. Posey was very well explained and NEVER pushed his services. His work is exceptionally wonderful. He has made a permanent client with me!
