Fun local entertainment even for 2 mature adults at this indoor glow in the dark mini golf. Do you recall the days of old when you once raved all through the night until the next morning at a club with DJs from the UK mixing up the adrenaline at some club in LA or Vegas? Well, this might bring back memories at first glance., just at first glance. Lol. With all the black lights and neon décor, one can’t help but reminisce. Hahaha. Well, there wasn’t a loud party or club dancers here, but it sure was dark and colorful. 8) We finally made it a point to make use of our Groupon before it expired. And boy, to our surprise we had some fun! It doesn’t seem to take much now that we’re out here in the south where it’s slim pick’ns! It’s all about the company you keep tho, right?! We came here on a week night just after 7p so there wasn’t much of a crowd other than a small party of 5, and then later another couple. After making your way through the deserted mall, you’ll find this place hidden off to the right if you enter near the Buffalo Wild Wings entrance at Madison Square Mall. The staff was friendly and quick to check us in. He even offered us a glow in the dark necklace at an additional cost in which I immediately responded, «No thanks. We’ve(I’ve) retired from the ol’ raving days which are long past and gone!» Lol After picking out our golf balls and scanning the short list of rules(yes, even here there are rules to abide by), we started on our 18 hole course. Each hole is well marked along with neon yellow/green arrows in between to direct you to the next. There is also a small«party zone» area that is lit just enough that your party of kids can see what they’re eating but still be able to run back on course for their turn. I thought the art pieces on the walls were a fun touch too, but you won’t find anywhere near the works of Cézanne or Picasso. We were allowed to play up to 3 rounds w a chance to win a free pass for a later visit at the 18th hole. Being as competitive as we are, we made it through 2 rounds successfully before it closed. And we even won a return pass! So guess who’s coming back?! 8P It may seem cheesy at first, but once you’re on the neon green, you’ll find that it’s just as fun as being at an outdoors mini golf — just without the glaring hot sun burning you or rain pouring down on you. It’s something different to try at least once. So throw on something bright & fun, bring the kids or just your better half and check them out. You’re never too old to have fun, right?!
