Best coffee around! I had an Americano, and my wife had a latte with English toffee flavor shot. The Americano had tons of flavor, rich and bold, but not even a little bitter. The latte was not overly sweet or full of sugar — just right. The atmosphere at this place is awesome. It’s the kind of place you could hang around all day, and it looks like some of the patrons were. Great music, a chess board, a gazebo — what else could you ask for to go along with outstanding coffee?

While ordering I made the comment: «oh, glad you guys serve food!» Attempted to order a sandwich, Julie the barista stated they do not have ingredients to make food items. Sitting drinking my coffee and about 30 minutes later another customer ordered some breakfast. I normally don’t write reviews but I believe in service and honesty. The barista seemed to be in a state of inconvenience while fulfilling the orders I saw go through. Won’t be coming back.

Wanted to like this place sooooo bad. It looks so cute right?! Cute little neighborhood place that you could ride you bike to… but something about it just doesn’t work. Can’t exactly how to put my finger on it, but I do agree with the(constructive) criticisms of many of the other reviews.

This is an adorable little shop located in the 5 Point area. My experience with the staff is wonderful and there are friendly regulars that are also on call to make you feel more at home. There is a gorgeous window that lets light into the front of the building, and the seating outside is very comfortable. I had a Towne Club that tasted spectacular and a cold cup of Chai that was possibly the best I’ve had in a while. I will more than likely return!

Love their chai. Love the atmosphere, loved chatting with the locals who clearly spend a lot of time here. Loved the dogs who were hanging out with the locals. Sat outside on a beautiful day. Only thing is that the ashtrays were all full of butts and it stunk like that. There was a lot of cigarette smoking out front – not sure if its allowed or not out back. The smoking didn’t stop me from sitting outside, but it isn’t the best smell in the world.

Well-priced coffee, a bar and comfy chairs inside, and a great front patio. My favorite coffee shop in Huntsville!

Im hoping by writing this review that the owners or managers, maybe even the employees will CLEANUP the inside and outside of what could be a cute neighborhood coffee shop. I have been coming here two years and have tried to be okay with it all but as of today I give up. I wont be back. The coffee is good, the employees are very nice BUT the outside is just gross, trash, cigarette ashes, spider webs and never swept in years probably. The inside is better but not great. No one is really trying to make this establishment as good as it could be. It seems like nobody cares. Cant believe the Health Department hasn’t forced a cleanup.

Been here a few times but after the first couple of times it was not by choice. If you are not a regular, you will not feel comfortable here. The coffee wasn’t good enough to work at being a favored regular.

The thai tea lattee is much better than panera! Their staff is nice, the speed is quick.

The coffee is really good. The roast their own and it tastes like it. Love the roasting smell wafting through the lounge. The atmosphere to me isn’t that great. It’s minimal. They have outdoor seating but people smoke. It’s about the coffee and it’s good. They have wifi which is mandatory nowadays.

My partner and I ended up here because it was pretty much the place open on a Sunday in the downtown area. It is kind of cute and has a bit of an old school coffee shop vibe, but small and cleaner. There is some seating out front where the regulars seemed to be and maybe 3 – 4 small tables inside. I had a cappuccino. The espresso was delicious but without asking me it was put into a to go cup which made enjoying the foam impossible. My partner got a plain coffee and threw it away after a few sips. It was super weak and flavorless. We had an Irish bread raisin scone that was really good — that plus my espresso gets this place a 3. Two other small but noticed things: the toilet was clogged when I went in and I had to unclog it. There was a shelf of the coffees they had available and Colombia was misspelled with a «u»(Columbia). Coffee shops really shouldn’t get stuff like that wrong.

Nice eclectic place. Friendly staff and the patrons. I had a moca, they used coco powder. Had they used a quality chocolate sauce I would have rated 5 stars.

First… Park in the back. I warned you :) Second, the place has a personality: relaxed, mismatched, and hipster-chic. It’s kind of a dive, but in a delightful way. Not a lot of seating inside, but they have a working wifi. My table was all whibbly wobbly, but somehow it was fine. Because… The coffee was actually good!!! Fresh, hot coffee made with recently roasted-in-house beans; I’m so glad I discovered this place!!! I can see this place becoming a daily break between classes.

They have assorted fresh beans from all over the world, which you can request be used in your drink. The food was great and service was very nice. The place is super clean and the atmosphere very relaxing. I recommend!

I’ve only been here once, but I had a very surprising outcome to what I expected. The boo and I came here on a whim right after exploring Monte Sano this weekend. We’re always complaining how we miss our previous holy grail coffee shop in Raleigh, NC. Low and behold we come across Olde Towne Coffee Shoppe. We were a bit apprehensive at first, mostly because the parking lot looked extremely tight(it is, if you drive a big car, you’ll be tested in parking that huge vehicle… Safe to say we totally beasted in parking, LOL) When we went inside it was reminiscent to our beloved coffee shop in NC. Small and quaint, just like we like it. I ordered an Almond flavored latte, while boo ordered his fave, a plain cappuccino. My latte was wonderful, but the true test was the cappuccino. It was exactly how my boyfriend likes it. Not too much foam, not too little foam, perfect ratio. The coffee wasn’t too milky and it wasn’t bitter. We also got to learn about how they roast their own beans, which was very interesting. We ultimately had a very good time conversing with the owner’s and getting educated about coffee. Will definitely go back!

The outdoor atmosphere was nice, but overall the coffee and the establishment are lackluster. The coffee isn’t much better than what I can make at home and the staff is a little starange

Man, this place just weirds me out. I keep going back since it’s on my way to work, and sure, it’s a staple of local Huntsville culture, but wow. The people that hang out here score a 9⁄10 on my people watching scale. I’m kind of a strange one myself, and I feel pretty out of place. I think I’ll just make coffee at home instead. All clientele aside, the staff tends to be a bit dumbfounded. Don’t expect a big food selection — mostly unsatisfying Costco-bought pastry items and granola bars. The brewed coffee and espresso is good, but nothing to write home about. That said, if you’re writing your mom in Kansas about how good the coffee is in Huntsville, I think you need to work on your relationship with your parents.

I loved this place! I went here today and loved it. It is a great place for like to read a book or write some emails. The coffee is great and I know my coffee. I f you are looking into making new friends this would be the place to be. Everyone is friendly. They have free wifi and outdoor seating. Also located on a very cool street in Huntsville. So if you need a break from Starbucks I recommend this place.

I call this place my other living room. Laid back, ecletic blend of folks. every time I’ve lived somewhere else I’ve looked for an Olde Towne and never have I found it. It almost goes without saying that the first gazebo is an open round table-any topic welcomed from literature, politics and pretty much anything in between… It is the Cheers of coffee houses. If you’re looking for quiet time sit out back by the fountain in the patio. Finally there is free wi-fi and even out door plugs for your laptop. The sun-dried tomato cream cheese and other blends made on the spot are fantastic on your choice of bagel. Soy is offered in case you’re not dairy friendly and hummus and pita too.
