Pampered Pets

Moved from Las Vegas, NV and had to find a groomer for our Maltese and shitzhu. After several frustrating attempts with another recommended groomer, we went to pampered pets after asking around. We were not disappointed. The girls working were friendly and professional. They did a great job on both my dogs’ haircuts. The place is clean and my dogs were happy.

I have taken my dogs there for years after using another groomer in town that charged excessive fees and did not do a good job. Crystal and her employees are always smiling and seem to have a true love for animals as shown by the resident animals she has adopted. They do a great job.

What a horrible and unprofessional business. When you walk through the door to enter the shop, the first thing you want to do is walk right back out. The overwhelming aroma of disgust is too much. I wish I had listened to my instincts. I had just recently bought an adorable maltipoo puppy who was three months old at the time. I spent a lot of time deciding on which puppy to purchase, and we decided on this particular one because of his beautiful teddy bear like coat. When we took him to this business we specially asked them to NOT cut his hair off or make him look like a poodle. They agreed. When we went to pick him up I didn’t even recognize him and thought they brought me the wrong dog. The cut ALL his hair off except for a helmet-​like mound on the top of his head and a ball of hair on the end of his tail. I was furious. Not to mention the fact, that the next week I was suppose to be taking my senior college pictures and wanted to include him in the photos. After confronting the owner, she said they cut him like we asked. I told her in no way was it possible that I said that. I tried to explain to her that he wasn’t even a full bread poodle and the whole reason we spent so much money on him was because of his beautiful coat. She was extrememly rude and would not admitt she was wrong. The owner was very unprofessional. I wish I had done my research before going there, because now I am hearing other awful stories about this place. I DO NOT recommend that anyone use this groomer. We now go to Pets Boutique, where we took our puppy the day after to see if they could do anything to him. The owner told me that they did absolutely nothing to groom him and his ears (that they were suppose to clean) were so dirty he was close to getting an ear infection. I am thankful that we found a groomer who cares about her customers (both us and the puppies). She was extremely nice, professional, and willing to help.
