I’m not pleased. Way too overpriced. I’d honestly rather have Olive Garden, which is a shame.

Gave it a few chances… Not a fan. I had to send my pizza back twice. Forgotten toppings the first time, undercooked crust the second. Slow service. The food is just not very good. They don’t seem to have someone in the kitchen that really cares about the quality. Beer selection is good though.

The only reason I gave the one star is for some of the food. My seven friends and I came for a twelve noon lunch. the restaurant was not busy. Our young server told us after we had ordered our drinks that two items from the menu were not available. meatballs and lasagna! several of us were disappointed and puzzled as to why they would not have these available at 12 noon, an hour after opening… but went ahead and ordered. Three of us wanted eggplant Parmesan and the rest ordered other items. the server came back to say .“oops«there was only 2 orders of eggplant Parmesan available and by some miracle .two orders of lasagne had turned up… my friend and I said ok we would now change our order to want we had originally wanted… a lasagna and an eggplant and share it… would they cut each in half and serve it to us on separate plates… he hesitated and at our pleading said reluctantly.ok. The others took the other two lasagna and eggplant. etc Our meals started coming out and our shared meal was placed before us… each had a huge(for a half serving) eggplant plate and one lasagna … We asked if this was a half eggplant serving, «yes» he replied and why the lasagna wasn’t halved… he said the manager refused to do that… it was too much trouble .the other meals came out. And we asked again if the eggplant was an order halved .he said yes. he brought a baked ziti out to my friend instead of the other lasagna and acted like this was what she’d ordered. she said no… and he replied well this is all the lasagna there is. so she kept what he brought her… Then two of the eight of us were not served anything… we waited and waited. finally another server came by and refreshed our drinks. We asked about the SALAD and other eggplant for the two remaining. We had already had our food for a good while… the manager and waiter came to us asking… what’s the problem? When we showed them the empty places .he had no idea what they had ordered… finally after we had all eaten, their food was brought out .(exasperated, they both ordered the shrimp salad so at least they would have food before supper!!) and both could barely eat it… tasted awful. Next came our checks… no comp for our two friends who waited over an hour for their forgotten orders… And low and behold we were each charged for an eggplant each… The server then argued that was what we had ordered… Finally when we said we are NOT paying for two. he very reluctantly took off one of the two eggplants that were brought mistakenly… and half of the checks were completely wrong… all through this the servers attitude was we changed our minds too much?(we had to, half the menu was not available!!) and the manager/owners attitude was excuses… we had a very busy Saturday… more excuses than apology… Even tho the food was good. not great.none of us will ever be back… one of the worst ever experiences in all my years.

Eh what can I say it’s your stand mom and pop«Italian» restaurant plastic vines… good wine. sprit list bigger then the menu. the«crusty fungus» wS awesome but the subs are so so. We went for a friends b’day party. Its a bit of a drive for us and our friend talked it up. To each his own I say. I have the same place 2 blocks from my home. The parking is horrible if you heading south. I believe next time I would pass unless I’m near by.

We had a horrible family dinner at The Boot on Friday, 11÷6÷15. The server must have been brand new, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that they were out of the first two beer choices, they delivered the wrong pizza to our table, they didn’t deliver a salad that was ordered, they messed up my granddaughter’s pasta order(it had to be sent back twice), and we couldn’t get drinks refilled or even water, after we requested it. Their special pizza that we ordered was supposed to have mushrooms and sausage on it, but it was overladen with mushrooms & no sausage. The crust was undercooked & moist. One child’s pizza was delivered before anyone else’s, so she ate alone. The tea tasted awful and was undrinkable. Dinner took about 90 minutes. This was our first ANDLAST trip to The Boot Pizzeria.

Overall the food is very tasty. Pasta portions are very small for the price. The all day Saturday happy hour is nice…

Their food is quite good, but the parking lot is a nightmare – all chopped up into small pieces, with very tight spaces and places to parallel park where you’re guaranteed to get hit… not to mention the people barrelling in at full speed from the Parkway with no separation at all from where you’ll be walking. Just skip their lot and park next door. Or just order through GrubSouth. Seriously; it’s that awful at peak times. That said… the pizzas are serious business. The dough is obviously fresh and delicious, a real ingredient of its own, adding great flavor to the pizza; it’s not just there like cardboard to carry toppings to your mouth. The specialty pizzas are interesting and tasty and include such things as a Shrimp Po Boy pizza with chipotle mayo and Cajun shrimp, Smoked Salmon pizza, and a Smoked Italian Sausage Pizza with blue cheese added. They even have a prime rib and a duck pizza. There are even a few options for vegetarians, such as the Eggplant Parmigiana Pizza and the Margherita Pizza. For $ 8.99, you can get the appetizer Crostino Con Funghi as a vegetarian meal; it’s Italian bread with Tuscan mushrooms and two cheeses. So good. Vegans might have a little more trouble due to the cheese, but there are also some nice, different salad options that won’t bore you silly. When we were there, they had a special dessert – a blackberry pudding crème brûlée that was so very, very good. Service was very good, especially at the bar and the tables near the bar. Treat your servers like actual PEOPLE, and you’ll be fine. :)

My sweet mom, and even sweeter, lovely niece and I enjoyed trying The Boot for the first time this past Saturday. The renovated ‘motel style’ exterior gave way to a surprisingly lovely appointed interior. We really enjoyed the décor. Marble bar, I think the interior columns were either marble or a cool texture, deep red walls, and an added bonus of a really nice patio, which I’d love to return to and enjoy a glass of wine! Cozy outdoor seating with, I believe ceiling fans, but this hot August day found us deciding to sit inside. There was one other couple in the restaurant around noon-ish. Our waiter, Alex, was sweet as pie and offered suggestions and kindly answered questions about the fare. The menu is fairly extensive, beer taps seem to run for miles and the wine/adult beverage list was really solid! We decided to share and taste the following: Chicken Piccatta Salad; Eggplant Parmigiano appetizer, the«pasta of the day» which was a beer infused thick stuffed-sausage noodle dish, with cheese and the small Philly Cheese Steak Pizza(16″). Tea and water were our bevs. Oddly the salad(my main dish) came out before the app, but Alex explained everything is prepared and cooked to order, so, OK, we were not in a hurry and were enjoying each other’s company. It seemed like the rest of the food was oddly staggered, too, but again, not an issue on a lazy hot Saturday, with wonderful company to enjoy! The chicken piccatta salad was okay. I couldn’t decide if the white meat chicken chunks were battered or not, it was almost reminiscent of a «General Tso» style chicken, only not hot. The dressing was really good and the dish really would benefit from a more robust share of capers. The greens, cucumbers and tomatoes were really fresh and good! The eggplant parmigiano was served in a nice sauce with a good quality/quantity cheese atop. I had trouble finding the eggplant. My niece really liked this dish. The Philly Cheese Steak Pizza was good. Authentic Italian style crust and authentic Italian in that there is little«pizza sauce»(if any) and the pie is not covered in cheese. The ‘pasta of the day’ was really flavorful and my niece’s favorite of all the dishes. It was just a little rich for my tastes, but I try to eat low carb. The only suggestion I would offer the Boot is to consider the elderly, and those who *do* eat low carb and offer up some tapas, or smaller portions of the rich dishes. There are ~ 4 sizeable assisted living communities within the area(my sweet Mom living in one of the largest ones) and the elderly typically have smaller appetites. When we asked our waiter if dear Mom could order the kid’s size lasagna(5.99) from the ~3 item kid’s menu we were told«no.» I thought this was a little unforgiving, for an 82 year old woman with a cane, but mom took it in stride and just tasted a little of this and that and we had tons of leftovers. It was happy hour(Nice surprise on a Sat!), which I think was 1 – 2 dollars off wines, and there appeared to be a bloody mary special, I think it was buy a bloody mary get a bread-based appetizer, but I was obviously not paying attention. Looking forward to going back and checking out the patio!

My wife and I stopped in after a movie to get a bite to eat. We were sat promptly and outdoors in a very nice covered patio. We both enjoyed the decoration inside and out. Hostess and wait staff were very friendly and prompt. The pros: — Service — Decoration and atmosphere — Great beer selection — Pizza(we chose the smoked duck breast) was delicious and unique The cons: — The price for some people may be a little high, but we felt we got our money’s worth. Had the pizza or service been poor then we would definitely not pay the price. It was about $ 40 for a medium pizza and two beers, tax and tip.

This review is for a couple of occasions where I sat at the bar and had beer and pizza. The craft beer selection is extensive, something like 30 drafts. Everytime I have been the service has been good at the bar. The pizza is good, it is thin crust style which may not be for everyone but I enjoy it. Atmosphere is nice as well.

Went there on a Saturday night. Place was decently filled. Wife ordered lasagna, boy ordered Pepperoni pizza, and I ordered the Guido. Lasagna was meh while the pizza and the Guido sandwich was crazy good. Great flavors but kind of surprised on the lasagna. Beer selection was awesome. I ordered Straight To Ale’s Laika Imperial Stout. Thick as mud and no light could shine through it. Service was good but not spectacular. The food was good enough that I would go back. It warrants another trip for that pizza alone.

Eggplant parm appetizer was amazing! We’ve been twice now, and both times the eggplant knocked it out of the park! The French fry portions are enormous, and the sandwiches and pizza are both equally great. We love this place and will likely make one more visit before we move to another city coming soon.

I hear the radio commercials all of the time so since I was finally down south memorial I decided to stop in I arrived around 1:15 for a late lunch. There was only one other table there finishing up their lunch. Waiter was friendly and offered suggestions. Recommended that if I wanted to try the pizza to order a whole one instead of the slices to get a better experience. I ordered the smoked italian sausage pizza and it arrived in less than 20 min. It wasn’t anything like I expected but it was still good. The sausage was very thin sliced like prosciutto but had a whopping flavor of BBQ pork. The italian blue cheese was much better than I anticipated and added a lovely salty, creamy taste. The marinara sauce didn’t shine but I can tell you it’s not a sweet sauce. Thin crust was very good. Mushrooms were so fresh. I don’t know why I didn’t get BBQ pizza from the menu description but that’s what this was. My only disappointment was that I didn’t pick something with more traditional italian flavors. The flavors of the pizza went together surprisingly well, I could tell someone knew what they were doing when they created it, but it just wasn’t the flavors I wanted at the time. Price is very high for a lunch. My pizza was barely enough for two meals and was $ 18.50. Add on a tip and you’re talking pricey. I would save this for a special occasion because the fresh ingredients make it worth that

Stopped in for lunch today with my fiancée. We ordered a large eggplant parmigiana pizza. Took about 25 minutes before the pizza arrived at our table, first impression was not that good — sparse eggplant topping on the pie. Well, maybe it tasted better than it looked ? No, not really. Our eggplant parmigiana pizza was very bland, flavorless. Had a very«floury taste» to it. Basically zero tomato sauce on this pizza(but maybe that is the way it was meant to be ?). Anyway, it was a disappointment. We did appreciate the nice atmosphere, and the service — our waitress was friendly and attentive. But can’t see coming back based on sup-par pizza we received. I realize this goes against the grain of most of the other reviews for The Boot Pizzeria, but that was our experience today. We also felt the menu was very limited, chicken parmigiana was not even an option. I also eyed a couple of dishes at the table near us –and what I noticed was very small portion sizes. Being from the Northeast, I’m use to generous portions from Italian restaurants. A weak 3 Star rating. And it’s only 3 Stars instead of 2 Stars because of the service.

The Boot Pizzeria is a gem! Do yourself a favor, treat yourself to a delicious lunch or dinner-you deserve it. With a little direction from John today, the bartender, I found my way to The Boot. John suggested the lunch special which included a nice portion of lasagna, salad with awesome homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing and baked bread stuffed with cheese, all for $ 6.99. Truly one of the best lunches I’ve ever eaten. I was completely satisfied but decided to accept John’s suggestion of the fresh peach crem brûlée. Wow! The best dessert of the summer, no question about it. Like I said, do yourself a favor and visit The Boot. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

My impression was that this is the best Italian restaurant in Huntsville. I give ‘em a four and a half. Reservations recommended, but not required. Park in the courtyard of what appears to have been a motel. The restaurant is much nicer looking inside! Our server, John, took excellent care of us. For supper I had an Eggplant Parmiggiana appetizer, and my wife had the Crostini Prosciutto appetizer. We drank soft drinks, and she ordered a Tiramisu dessert, which I sampled. The crostini bread was the best I’ve ever had. I didn’t care so much for the prosciutto ham. My wife couldn’t cut it with her table knife, so you might want to ask for a sharper steak knife. I marveled that my eggplant had some cornmeal breading on it, reminiscent to me of a good tamale. Personally, I’d skip the tiramisu, tho you may love it. Next time, maybe we’ll try the vanilla gelato. Our total bill for this supper for the two of us was $ 30.38.

I love the atmosphere of this place. It reminds me of where I am from. The negative factors on this review though start from the location. If you were like me and took a left from the parkway to get in at 5 o’clock? It takes forever. The food took over 45 minute to come out, it was par I’d say. The sauce was unique and different but I did like it.
