So time after time I complimented a coworker on her cute outfit and time after time she stated she got it at the thrift store. Thrift store huh? You must take me there.
So glad she introduced me to this wonderful place. It sits directly behind the Humane Society.
Unlike other price gauging thrift shops this one actually benefits the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. The items of course are donated and the shop is run by volunteers. The HSV Humane Society is a no-​kill shelter so the proceeds go towards caring for the animals. They take animals that need extensive care as well and those are animals turned away by other shelters.
The prices are incredible. They have a VERY small section of ’boutique’ clothing that is priced individually but everything else is $ 1.50 no matter the brand. It was also pretty well organized by size and easy to search through.
I found two pairs of NY&Co pants and paid $ 1.50 each for them. I also found my husband an entire set of Dale Earnhardt collectable glass Coca Cola bottles for only $ 1 a piece.
Their prices show that they aren’t out to make a grand profit.
I have to avoid the pets though, my heart would break knowing I don’t have the appropriate resources to adopt them all.
