This place is beautiful, very well maintained and secure. I’m visiting a relative but if I was in this area, I would love to live here. Gorgeous and peaceful little oasis. Price is reasonable.

Do not expect an organized office staff/management. The apartments are also built in a flood zone. Nothing but problems since the second I moved in, they don’t notify you of ANYTHING before they do it and if they do, it in the middle of the night the night before so they can say they told you about it. The maintenance man just circles the parking lot on a golf cart like a creepy pervert and stares at you with dead eyes. I haven’t stayed at my apartment since I found an illegal switch blade in the grass walking my dog, so for 3 months. Im just waiting for my lease to run out.

Walden’s self-description is rather overstated, but you expect that from apartment advertising. Good location off US72 near the Huntsville/Madison line. Convenient to most everything. The proximity to the Village at Providence is a plus. The grounds are well-kept and secure. The apartments themselves are newer than most in the area, but built cheaply. The kitchen cabinet shelves are bowed, as is the range top. Bathroom water pressure is very bad. Repairs are made promptly. However, what had been an otherwise positive experience was ruined for us when the management invoked a contract clause which will cost $ 800 and delay our move-out three weeks. You think you sign a lease for a given period of time and then it’s over, right? No, Walden slips in a 60-day written notice requirement to vacate and holds to it. In other words, they have given themselves a renewable option for perpetuity unless you jump through the hoop. They probably screw over a lot of people with this, because it’s not something you’re going to think about when you’re ready to move out. First of all, why is it necessary to formally terminate a lease that has an end date? My phone call was not good enough. They demand that you come to the office, which is not always convenient, and complete their form. This is one of those moments of truth when you find out what a company is really about. This final attempt to extract a few more bucks isdevious and just a sleazy business practice. Buyer beware!

I’ve lived here for six months and really like it. The apartments are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the amenities are awesome. I love the pool and the exercise room. It’s in a great location — within walking distance of Providence village but still really close to Target, WalMart, Publix, etc. They are great about maintaining the apartments and grounds. My husband and I will be sad to leave when we buy a house!
