The simple swap out of a kitchen garbage disposal – done in less than 45 minutes cost a whooping, no apologies, $ 500.00! The experience was so over the top «anti-​customer» that I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. (The complaint can be read at the BBB site.) In the first 30-​day billing cycle asking for a simple billing breakdown in cost — so panicked this plumber that when his «texting» threats did not work, he slapped a Mechanics Lien on my property! Customers are supposed to be protected from this type of predatory behavior by the Ohio Administrative Code 109:4 Consumer Protection Chapter 109:4−3 Deceptive Acts or Trade Practices in Connection with Consumer Transaction — but don’t hold your breathe. The Ohio Attorney General has been alerted. If you get «taken» by this predator, contact the AG and add to incident file for this plumber.
