The Wine Valley

Exceptional wine list in middle WV with above par food. We have been when they were playing live music. The staff is knowledgeable and generally attentive. You can’t go wrong.

This was a nice change. Good food, good service. Nice quiet dinner with my wife. Want to try something different, go here. Good change of pace on a Friday night.

Excellent food and wine selection. Sometimes the service falters and that makes us hesitant to go as often as we used to. We love the owners and when they are here the place runs like clock work. When they’re not I just want to leave. The chef is creative and food is truly well prepared and delicious.

It’s a nice ambiance and a great idea, but I was overwhelming disappointed with the «tapas» menu that was supposed to be on tap.
There are a few flat bread choices, three or four salads, and cheese plates. Everything else is full-​sized food (really, the flat breads and salads are too) The food is ok, but nothing that really blows you away, which is a HUGE let down considering the prices you’ll pay for whatever you get.
If, on the other hand, you’re only here for drinks, this is a great place. The wine flights are a good way to try something new and the portions are fairly large. The beer selection is also pretty extensive (certainly larger than you’d expect at a wine bar). No mixed drinks and no coffee, so don’t be expecting that sort of service.
Overall, it’s too much of a drive for too little reward for me (being from Charleston), but I hear they’re opening up a location here too and I might check that out.

Wow!!! Awesome night with a 5 course meal, live music, champagne and awesome friends! If you need an amazing place to go for dinner and a night out with someone special this is the place!!! Wine, food and dessert!!! So amazing! Thanks to Dez and Galina for an amazing evening!!!

Cool concept. The staff was really friendly and the wine list was extensive– pretty substantial list of beers as well. The salads, the goat cheese brûlée and the wine valley, were fantastic. We also enjoyed the Gypsy flat bread. Hope to go back.

The intimate establishment blends a sprawling wine bar with booths and couches where parties mingle and corners where couples hide away. The offer a platter of delicious cheeses and meats that pair perfectly with plethora of wine they offer. It is a great place to just sit and relax and enjoy the company of whomever your with. Great place for a first date ;)

This place is a hidden gem in Teays Valley! Good food and a nice wine selection. The staff is very friendly and they provide great service. I would like to see them add to their craft beer selection and also get some good meats to pair with their cheeses, but those are small things. All in all this place in great!

While The Wine Valley has been open for about 3 months, we heard of it only recently and our first free evening took the opportunity to stop in. What a treat!
Located in a small business strip just off of Rt 34 at the Teays Valley exit of I-​64 in Liberty Square; it’s clean but simple exterior that does little to speak of it’s relaxed and classy interior.
Dark hardwood floors, welcoming overstuffed sofas and chairs and tasteful music immediately sets the mood for a glass of wine, some cheese and great conversation.
My wife and I were immediately greeted by owners Des and Galina whose hospitality was projected in their warmth and a genuine interest in our comfort and the quality of our experience.
We enjoyed two different reds of their suggestion as well as a 4 cheese sampler which included two cheeses new to us — a Balsamic Bellavitano and Tremor Truffle. Both cheeses have now been added to our favorites list…
We also were served a «Des prepared» salad tray with a Bulgarian themed chopped salad, pâté, shredded beets and pickled white cabbage and pita points which rounded out our snacks. Quantities were more than adequate and the freshness and quality were spot on.
We relaxed with our wine and enjoyed getting to know Des and Galina better — two very gracious people. It was clear that they have established a good rapport with their clientele as several stopped by our hi-​top to greet Des or Galina as they chatted with us.
The valley area has in The Wine Valley what it has been missing for years — an attractive, quality environment for social interaction. Sort of like Starbucks for adults…
Give it a try, I know we will return as often as we can. Also, it was nice to hear they will offer live music with a two piece combo this Saturday evening.

What a great local gem!
I came here on a Saturday night with my family & had an amazing time. You have the option to sit at the bar, at a high-​top table, or lounge on their sofas. There is a huge selection of beer & wine; I had a glass of red wine & tried some of the red sangria– both were great. I really appreciate that you get to sample the wine before ordering a glass and how knowledgable the staff is. We ordered some Manchego cheese and hummus with pita and they were delicious with the wine.
I cannot say enough good things about this place-​amazing service, nice ambiance & great wine! I highly recommend this place-it’s hard to go wrong with anything on the well thought out menu!
