Bar Louie

After speaking with the owner of the Bar Louie I was compensated for two visits and asked to give any location in the US another try.
I went back to the same one as mentioned in another review that lists my negative experience.
The management had changed from the previous time and the rude waiter seemed to have a more positive attitude thought he did not serve our table.
There was another waitress and she was very kind and helpful.
The food was fresh and amazing. We have since been back 3 other times and our bad experience no longer shadows our opinion of this place. The wait staff has improved immensely even on busy nights.
And the atmosphere is as I remember it from the first time I visited.

Hurst location is our favorite. Many times after a movie my wife and I go and are always made to feel like family. We have our favorite waitress Myra who always makes my wife who has to use a wheel chair feel comfortable and accepted. Karen in fact says lets go see Myra instead of lets go to bar Louies. We each have our favorite food mine is the Vodo Chicken Karen’s is the chopped salad. I occasionally will get the sliders… It’s all good and the bar serves a spot on gin and tonic Very good if you go ask for Myra we tried to adopt her but she said all six of her boys had to come with so… We just go see her at work.

This is a bar I really want to like. It has a great location, a great set up, great menu. But the service and operations are so poor it hurts to watch. I sat at the bar for about an hour tonight with my girlfriend. Had a few Drinks and an appetizer. The drinks were very poorly made, people were leaving there seats to come ask the bartender if someone was ever going to serve them. While I sat there the two bartenders must have shattered easily 9 glasses, including one over an order of drinks, I watched the waitress fish out glass with a spoon and then serve the drink. I was appalled. Every drink I ordered took about 15 minutes on average to receive. Then to cap it all off it took about 30 minutes to pay my bill. Please for the love of God figure this thing out!

Visited during Cinco De Mayo and had a great time. Food and drinks were great. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was because the server wasn’t around enough to fill our drinks fast enough. The bacon cheeseburger sliders were great and the adult beverages were nice and cold!

The food isn’t bad but the service sucks! Had issues with the server from the get go and it wasn’t even busy! If you want to go somewhere for drinks and good food close to North East Mall you should definitely check Witten’s Grill across the street.

I’ve been here at least three times where I have sat down. Waited 10 minutes, then got up and left because the wait staff was too busy hanging out in the back of the bar to even give us waters.

Thursday night drafts are a great deal — especially with the live music that was surprisingly good. Those are the highlights.
Unfortunately you have to put up with a bartender with a bad attitude. The manager seemed pretty checked out, and more interested in the bartender than the customers. Other reviews were correct: much of the staff seems to not want to be there.
Come for the deals (if you time it right) — but NOT the service.

Food was great! Service was awesome, very friendly even though it was late. Was suprised more people don’t come to this place. It’s got a great ambiance and good music.

Was visiting Texas from Florida. Only went for drinks. Nice atmosphere. Our waitress was nice. Heard that service was terrible but we went anyway. Our experience was alright.

I had the Pear and Bleu cheese salad today. Always a good choice. The place was quite empty today at lunch time but I’m sure that is pretty typical for a Tuesday especially for a business attached to a mall. Service was great as always.

First time at Bar Louie, the atmosphere was very enjoyable; food was good service was excellent.

Sat down at bar… sat there. Sat there. Bartender (tall young dirty blonde… sounds better than what she was) looked at me 3x and didn’t even acknowledge me. It wasn’t until I seemed frustrated to a regular and he told bartender …“hey, can you help her” bartender took her time getting to me.
She wasn’t welcoming AT ALLLLLLL. She took order and didn’t see her again forever, not even after my food came. She didn’t ask me if I needed water, how did it turn out… nothing. I had to flag down another bartender that was constantly going on break. She got me some water. My friend arrived… same blonde looked at her and took her time getting back around to us. My app plate sat in front of us along with napkins and dirty glassware the entire time we were there… even after we got our tabs and closed out. The blonde also didn’t give my friend her change back from the cash she got… Yeah there went the tip you would have at least gotten from her.
Food was good… however prices are way to high for service that poor. They seemed to only want to wait on their service industry people and let everyone else wait.
Won’t be back…

This place has to be doing something right because I have made this one of my regular Happy Hour spots! I love that it is located right outside of Rave movie Theater. ON TUESDAY NIGHTS they do $ 5 specialty burgers with fries all night and Happy hour is until 7pm amazing martinis for just $ 5. The food quality is ok. The ambiance is probably my favorite. NICE outside seating with fireplace. GREAT DATE NIGHT!!! Rave theater also does discount night on tuedays.

Over price. Not very help with the place. The bar is good had nice Tvs and they had many games on but the place was miss something. Maybe I have to try again but not happy with this place.

Bar Louie is more bar than restaurant, but I’m here to eat, else I might go four stars. Food is flatbreads, sandwiches, lots of appetizers, and a few salads. A plus is the outdoor area — except the music can be a bit loud for my taste. I have found them a tad lax about thoroughly cleaning the tables too. Great Martinis, good selection of wine. You can’t go wrong with their flatbreads, but I’m trying lettuce wraps tonight.

This has become our new spot for pre/​post-​movie food and drinks. The bartenders, especially Kelly, are awesome. Very friendly, accurate, and quick. They have TX Whiskey, so I’m happy. Big fan of the shrimp skewers, the buffalo chicken pizza, and the pretzel sticks.
They have live music occasionally; some of the bands have been surprisingly good. My only gripe, though, is the volume is way too loud for my taste. So loud that it is hard to have a conversation.
Clean bathrooms, cool artwork hanging up, fun bartenders, heavily poured drinks, next door to the best movie theater in the area. Good stuff :)

Update: the manager sent me a private message calling me a douche with no class who only came for the free appetizer. My review clearly states I bought a burger and was planning on tipping heavily, and not that it’s any of your damn business but I also bought a drink. In addition to responding directly, I’ll leave it here for him to be reminded to read the entire review before getting butthurt. And also for my own enjoyment. Not my fault you don’t know how to read. Just like it’s not my fault you don’t know how to hire a waitress with the ability to get off Facebook once every 15 minutes or so

Came here for the free appetizer, the first 2 booths we went to had food all over them, the 3^rd had this weird pink shit all over the plates.
Literally us and 1 other party, 8 customers total. After bringing us the appetizer and promptly disappearing behind the bar to talk to her coworkers, it took the waitress 17 minutes to come back and ask us if we wanted anything. We had been decided on a burger since just before the appetizer came out, it sucked that we couldn’t order the meal until AFTER the appetizer was all gone. It detracts from the whole «corporately mandated casual dining experience» thing, even though we unknowingly came on $ 5 burger Tuesday.
I was planning on tipping heavily to make up for my light bill, but now i just feel like my money isn’t wanted here.
The food was okay, but the ketchup they gave us was empty. By the time we flagged down the waitresses for a new one the tots were cold and stale.
1/​10, would not dine again

This place sucks.
Went here one night with a friend and the service was dreadful… drink took forever to get to us and try and get another… right… me thinks not…
Also, the manager is an ass.

Excellent happy hour (until 7pm!), friendly and helpful service, and our party was very impressed with the appetizers. Extensive featured cocktails, and each one we tried really blew our socks off.
We’re definitely coming back.

Loved the garage doors until someone lit a cigarette outside on the patio near our table that was inside of the garage door they had just opened.
Visited on a Friday during Happy Hour and the Chicken Verde Flatbread was delicious. Boneless wings were delicious. Chicago burger and fries was also delicious. I drank Shiner draft for ~ $ 3 which was … Delicious. Lemon Drop Martinis were awesome. Strawberry Peach Bellini Martini was tasty but preffered the Lemon Drops.
Sticking to 4 stars because the smoker and not sure that is the fault of the ownership… More of a state law?!? Eh… The smoker made a 5 star experience turn 4.
Would be back for sure.
