I walked in with only one car in the parking lot for a to and tdap vaccine. So far 3 people have gone before me. I’ve been waiting 40 min and still not called

Son went in and got a strep diagnosis. Was prescribed amoxicillin. We went to pick it up and thankfully was told by the pharmacist at Walgreens that it was an extremely high dose. Sure enough we called the pediatrician and she halved it! Said the dosage he was prescribed would have made him very sick.

The front desk representative and check out representative weren’t very friendly at all. They looked miserable! Find another job if you aren’t happy there because they definitely don’t belong in healthcare.

I went to this clinic for a second opinion over the weekend when my health specialists were closed and thought that the practitioners here would be decent based on Google reviews. I was sadly mistaken.
I will concede that the scheduling for my appointment was easily processed and I was able to wait at home until the practitioners were ready to see me. The ease of scheduling and seeing someone is the only service that this CareNow offers that merits a star.
For the sake of brevity I will give a brief synopsis of my experience.
1.The Staff:
–The medical assistant claimed to be an RN but was not RN certified
–The medical assistant messed up taking my pulse and had to repeat the process 3 times because my pulse runs low due to regular cardio
–Fabricated my responses to a pain threshold measure to the PA
2. The PA Shruti Desai
–Did not establish a baseline: in short she did not establish a solid foundation of medical history and past complications for my symptoms, therefore she exercised gross negligence in trying to diagnose me.
–Condescending and patronizing about the illness that I was going through. I spoke to her about my symptoms for less than 10 minutes before she started trying to rattle off very incoherent and irrelevant suggestions about the cause of illness. I have experienced these symptoms in the past after dehydration. She was trying to demonstrate a level of knowledge about my medical history that she had little experience or knowledge with. She came off as very innane and arrogant. In fact she and the DO had to pull up Internet search engines to look up specifics on my current medications and details on my medical history.
–Falsified information to the D.O. about previous medical history and the context of my current illness which led to a misdiagnosis of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). DVT is a severe blod clot that causes intense pain and is most common in elderly people over 60, the obese, and pregnant women. I am a young male that is relatively in shape and hopefully not pregnant.
–After misdiagnosing me, she tried to force me to go to an ER of the CareNow’s affiliation. I refused as I have my own hospital that I seek care for during regular business hours. After a lengthy exchange she told me that I was not allowed to leave until I sign an AMA medical release form. This OPTIONAL form releases the health practitioner from all liability in the case of a patient injury as a result from deferring the practitioner’s advice. I refused to sign because I was not willing to sign off on a liability waiver that misdiagnosed me.
3. The DO/“Medical Director”
–Tried to salvage the situation but also did not let me leave until the AMA papers were signed
–Seemed like a nice guy, but also seemed to lack knowledge and credibility when trying to discuss my symptoms and options with me
–At the end very insincerely tried to get a «patient experience overview» from me before I left
**This CareNow facility in effect illegally detained me in the patient room for 2 hours trying to force me to sign AMA papers. Shruti Desai told me that it was standard procedure for every patient to sign these forms and did not tell me my rights as a patient. It was not until I sought guidance from my family members with legal and medical experience to walk out, pay, and leave.
The fact that this clinic, the PA, and the DO would detain someone with the right to leave and with a serious «DVT diagnosis» for at least 2 hours should show that they are only concerned about themselves and not the patient’s well-​being.
Please beware of the practices of this CareNow. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. If you ever do happen to be in a circumstance like I was, please know your rights.

Their system does not work. Twice this weekend I did web check in. You get no email or text confirmation that it has gone through. Both times I had my phone in my hand waiting for their call and both times they claimed they tried to reach me and couldn’t – so I got pushed down in line. The only reason I even know is bc I called them. Otherwise I guess I would have been sitting waiting for their call all day. Why don’t they text or email when they have both those forms of communication? Or try to call again? This last time they claim there was a busy signal (on my carol phone – and I hadn’t made or received any other calls). Wasting my time

I can personally say that Dr. Smith and his staff did an ourstanding job treating me. They even called the next day to check on me. What a great service to our community!

Bad business ethics. made us wait an hour and charged $ 170 just to tell that they are not licensed to treat issues related to pregnancy… if you cant treat then wtf do you charged for??? and people are so rude

I greatly dislike having to give one star reviews. However, Care Now gave me no choice considering the fact that they refused to treat my child at all, or even allow him to see a doctor.
Last night I brought my son in to see a doctor. He had been jumped on by a boy at school who was roughhousing, and the other boy accidentally knocked him over, landing on his leg. My son was ok at first but the pain increasingly became worse over the evening, so I decided to have it looked at to make sure nothing was fractured. When I informed the young man at the front desk of why we were there, he expressed sympathy and began to hand me paperwork. However, the young lady at the computer beside him brashly stopped him and told him i’d have to find another ER since this was an assault case.
I told them no, this was not assault and my child was in pain from an accident and needed to see a doctor. The man tried to tell her is wasn’t assault and it was ok but she insisted on alerting the manager, who decided we had to leave because it was Care Now policy not to treat any patient if there’s any possibility of police getting involved. The man apologized as the young lady continued to berate him about policy and how she could have been fired because of him and so on.
I took my son to a different ER and they treated him with no problems.

I was very happy with the care I received at this location. Dr Gray was excellent, as was the rest of the staff. I felt they were very thorough with my care and diagnosis. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Dr Smith is a professional. He listens and then he explains. I have seen him for things as simple as prescription refill and as involved as shingles with complications.
