Been there a couple of times, I always have whole catfish which is very good and so are the sting rays appetizer. Don’t care for the hush puppies they are bagged and are not home made and are very bland tasting. The coleslaw sometimes has been watery and seems too sweet .The booth seating is not comfortable my feet just dangle. both times we went the service was slow.

YUM! The best catfish I have had in a long time. Catfish was fresh and the seasoning was spot on… service was friendly and very good. We will b coming back again and again.

I’ve been coming here for over twenty-five years and the food and service are always good. Love the catfish and oysters. Of course you can’t forget about the hush puppies. Have to watch out as you could get full off of those before you get the meal.

Regular flavored catfish is tasty, but the cajun flavored catfish is amazing and well worth the few extra dollars. The sides are good, but the pinto beans are a bit bland and runny. Overall, the restaurant had nice fishing décor and is a place with good food at a great value

The food’s cooked well, the fried food isn’t too greasy, and the fish is flavorful. Its not the cheapest, but on the other hand it is a fish place. I’d recommend it if you want fish, but the chicken tenders are pretty dry.

Great food! I had all you can eat catfish & shrimp. Service was awesome as well. Very quiet atmosphere. We love to come with a large group. Catfish is always good. Not crazy about the shrimp though.

Way over priced! The day before I ate sushi for lunch and it was cheaper! $ 23.00 for two pieces of catfish and frozen clams and a salad?! And no sides included!

I hadn’t dined at the restaurant for a long time but was in the area and was hungry for fish. The catfish was good along with the sides. I particularly enjoyed the pinto beans, they were very tasty. I arrived after the lunch hour so service was very brisk and attentive. I was very happy with the experience.

Catfish overcooked with too much breading… to be named Catfish… that should be the best thing on the menu… or maybe they are just«catfishin»

Really enjoyed the meal tonight. Catfish was on point, not at all muddy. The clams were tasty as well. Went all out got some shrimp etoufee(sp?) And that had a certain quality to it as well. All in all a very good meal.

Catfish & Company is located in Hurst off of Airport Fwy. Right now, it’s a PITA to get to because of construction. It’s next to Black Eye Pea and the new Abuelos location. They start you off with hush puppies that aren’t your normal round hush puppies. We come for the catfish. They have AYCE catfish for around $ 14. Either cajun or normal fried. They also have the whole fried catfish. Their catfish is decent. Along with their grilled fish. I’ve had the tilapia and catfish. My biggest complaint about this place is the seating. I am short. 5 ft even. When I sit in the booth seat, I have to lean over to eat. The table is at my waist practically when normally it’s at my chest. It’s uncomfortable and awkward. Yes, I can sit at a regular table, but those chairs are no better. You can tell most of the customers are elderly and that is who they cater too. That’s great and perfectly fine. Nothing is wrong with that at all. The seats though. It makes a short shrimp like me feel like the jolly green giant. The seating won’t stop me from coming. My grandma loves to come and I get to feel tall for 45 minutes.

A great established catfish restaurant. Hunger is stomped out at this place. If you do it right, you should be in pain when you leave from eating so much. We have been eating here for years. They bring you the fixin’s straight away while you ponder the menu. Don’t get fancy to eat here. Looks like a blue plate establishment. I use to get the 3 catfish plate and have now backed down to the 2 catfish plate. You can get other menu items if catfish is not your favorite menu item, but honestly, I can’t say I have ever considered anything else. They bring you all the sauces to lather your fish in, including their own recipe of hot sauce. Be careful when you gorge on the condiments they bring out first, you need to leave room for the main dish. That is very hard to do since you will find the okra, beans, slaw, bread, hush puppies, onions and pickles a meal in themselves. Eat it all, they will bring more. A nice cap off is the giant hot rolls that you can add butter and honey as your dessert. Dining seems to be in two or three shifts. The locals eat at 5 pm, the early dinner bunch stop at 6, then the formal guest show up at 7 and may wait in line on Friday and weekend.

It’s not the best in town but good night for all you can eat catfish and the hush puppies with butter for dipping remind when I was a kid and used to go to the old Bill Martin’s love it love it and you can eat as much as you want they just keep bringing them out! Side dishes okay if you have room after eating all the hush puppies. Service is good the waitstaff is very sweet and the manager comes around every time we come in just to see how her tables Doing!

The food was bland, the shrimp étouffé lacked the right flavor, color and consistency but the Tabasco helped. The drinks were off. I would not recommend this place to people who have taste better or any Louisiana cuisine.

Place was dead. I knew I was in for a mediocre experience when the frozen pre-fabbed hush puppies were the first thing to hit the table. Over priced, over cooked and when your chicken strips look like hot wings it’s a pretty good indicator that skimping on food to keep the profits up is the way that this place operates. Psst. If you serve a QUALITY meal, provide good service, and do it with a smile you’ll be more successful. The only«Catfish Joint» in town should act like it. Golden Corral would be a better option for good fish and chicken

I hate to say it but I think today was our last visit here. We used to eat here once a week but last spring the tilapia(which we always had for lunch) changed, like they got a new supplier. Not bad, just bland, tasteless. Catfish was the same. We stayed away until today but decided to give it another chance, hoping it would be like before, but it was the same bland tilapia. I hate to see this happen, we enjoyed eating here for a long time(84 check-ins in 2 yrs since I joined Unilocal).

Horrible experience today. The hush puppies were cold, the beans were cold, and the baked potato was so cold it could not melt the butter on the potato. I had the worst waitress, Cici. I never saw her after she brought out the food until she brought my check. She never checked back to refill my water. I would not recommend anyone go here.

Good southern-style catfish and seafood. I especially like their fried catfish, and the baskets of hush puppies. Service has always been friendly and fast.
