I grew up close by and have many great memories going to this park. After 15 years away I moved back 5 minutes away. I went to check it out this afternoon and nothing has changed. It is still a great park with people walking the trails, fishing, and feeding the ducks — just as I remembered it.

Love everything about this park. Trees and tons of shade. Pavilions and picnic tables. A massive water park too. A great pond for fishing.

Pretty park kind of in the middle of nowhere! Never would I think to go smack dab in the center of mid cities for a picnic or a serene walk or run by a lovely pond. But this place is kind of a hidden gem! Go feed the ducks, bring the kiddos to play at the playground, and hang out in the pavilion. The grounds are kept neat and clean and if you get there early enough you can catch a beautiful sunrise or come by later to gaze at the sunset right on the water. Wow! Get you a little nature therapy!

Chisholm Park is one of my favorite parks to go to in this area since it has a quaint pond and many activities to do. There’s a playground with swing set, walking/running trail(Red trail: 1.1 miles, Blue trail: .25 mile), picnic pavilions, swimming pool(summers), volleyball and basketball court, and exercise activities(along the path). There’s ducks in the pond and I’m presuming fish since I see people with small fishing poles every time I come here. Chisholm Park is a good place to take a stroll around or to just sit at the pond to enjoy the weather or absorb nature. The park is open from 6am to 10pm.
