Great staff. Great ownership. These guys are always happy to give suggestions for new comics based on your interests. Plus, you can’t beat the pull list. I never miss an issue. Also a great place to buy & play games.

This was a shop I would frequent when in Texas. The staff were kind and helpful, doing a lot with the limited space. They sell comics, board games and tons of different toy collectibles.
My only large complaint is that while the establishment carries a lot of gaming product, most of it is expansions rather than anything you could take home and really dig into. They can order something specific you’re after, but unfortunately most of my gaming purchases are very impulse. However, that usually ends up meaning I leave with a Game of Thrones shot glass or some other random geeky goodie I firmly know I could live without.
In short, Collected is a place I used to often check and then leave without having got what I had came wanting. But they’re certainly doing a good job at selling me fun little knick knacks… and that’s worth something.

I have been to this store many times, even back when it was Lone Star. The new look is definitely better than before and a lot of the new stuff is very friendly and welcoming. The only issue is that they don’t have a very good selection of minis. My boyfriend is constantly painting them so I’m usually looking for them to give as a gift. Now that I work in the mall nearby it’s easiest to look there, but their selection is just not that great.
On the other hand, they have a ton of novelty items. Some of them we carry in the store I work at, but they have so much more too! Anytime we have a customer that can’t find what they’re looking for I send them over there.

The employees are helpful and courteous, but they are helpless to fix issues like lack of popular comics; where is the first The Walking Dead trade? The Killing Joke? They’re always sold out of Yu-​Gi-​Oh cards and Pokemon cards. Special orders take FOREVER; months. God help you if you were hoping to get a special order in in time for an event like a birthday. Friendly customer service just won’t make up for a lack of relevant product and a months long waiting list for special orders.

Like its sister location in Plano, Collected: Hurst is a nice comic and game shop. Friendly staff, organized comic stands, decent selection of card and table top games. This location is right next door to the mall, so sometimes mall traffic can hinder a quick trip to pick up your subscriptions. Small back issue section – could be greatly improved. Only one game table in back means standing room only during game nights.

They handle new comics better than anyone in the DFW that is not a branch of Collected. If this location was closer to me I would have a real problem. I might never go home. They also do fun nights for the community to get together and talk about different interests like comics, Doctor Who, games etc. Brent and crew have taken a great place and elevated it to another level.
