This family business makes the best German food. I have been here two times. The staff is great. Food is excellent. The German forest chocolate cake is to die for! Yummy. Will go back to place again for sure.

So VERY sad to hear they have closed permanently due to some ongoing health issues of one of the family members. I enjoyed every meal I had at this restaurant and now wish I had eaten there more often.

One of the best places in North Texas for German food so it was quite a shock to find out they are officially closing their doors. The owners have family medical issues to attend to and made the announcement today. Deep sadness for this but, what great times I’ve had here.

This is a really fun place, first of all. And you better come hungry! The atmosphere and design of the restaurant makes it feel like it is in Europe. The food is very tasty, and the portions are extremely generous. The sauerkraut was delicious, along with Schnitzel! They have a really good accordion player in the restaurant as well! You will have fun!

I have had some good stateside German food in my day… this place was the best I have had. Great food and good German beer. My only complaint the accordion player could turn down the volume. It was hard to have a conversation when he was near.

Omg great potato soup! The jäger schnitzel was very well cooked and served piping hot. Rot Kraut was different never had it before. Still have not decided if I like the flavor over regular sauerkraut. I say very good German food.

Fun fun fun! I don’t know how you come out of this place unhappy or hungry. My mom accompanied us this visit because she loves German food. That works good because I love German beer! Actually, I liked everything that we ordered and we received great service. They seemed very concerned about whether we liked the food or not. From the dumplings all the way to the strudel, we were very satisfied and we had plenty to take home. The accordion player, Vladimir, took the time to show my son some different notes and his amazing talent. My son plays the trumpet and Vladimir made his Accordion sound like a trumpet and then played another song. My son loved it and Vladimir is very talented. Our waitress, Carrie, was sweet and very attentive. Great job all around. Oh, did I mention the bier(beer)? Yes, they’ve got quite a few German drafts and the Spaten Oktoberfest is one of my favorites! Just a wonderful time! Prost!

Oh. My. Gosh. You must try this place and here’s why… My partner in crime and I decided to check this place out last night and we’re already making plans to return. We sat at the bar and our server could not have been more patient, helpful and kind. She promptly greeted us as she brought water and took our drink order. We could barely pronounce anything on the menu, but it made for a good laugh. I ordered the schaferschnitzel(schnitzel stuffed w/feta and proscuitto topped with brown gravy and served w/pan fried potatoes) with a salad and he ordered the apfelschnitzel(schnitzel topped with glazed apples and served with pan fried potatoes) with lentil soup. The salad was a trio of vegetables — carrots, cucumbers and cabbage. Not what I expected, but it was delicious and a good start to the meal. I’ve never had lentils before so I stole a bite from the Mr. and even though I want to learn how, I fear I will never be able to cook lentils like that. Ever. I had to steal another bite… or two of the lentil soup. It was that good! Our entrees were so flavorful and delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. We ended up taking half of our entrees home and look forward to those yummy morsels for dinner this evening. I truly can not wait to go back and hopefully on the next trip it will be when they have live music.

Good stuff! Got the big sampler plate, everything on it was good. $ 40 for two people and it had more than enough food. I could see myself coming here all the time if I lived closer, definitely check it out if you like German food. The prices are better than Bavarian Grill too.

My wife and I split the schnitzel for lunch and we both came away quite satisfied. Food was tasty and served hot, fresh out of the kitchen and our server did an excellent job. I can’t bring myself to give any place five stars on one visit, but we’ll be back and if they keep delivering this kind of quality, I’ll update my review.

Shame on me for taking so long to review this place! My belly must have been so full of delicious beer and apfelkuchen, my brain just totally forgot to do anything else! This is such a unique little place, hiding inconspicuously in a large, generic shopping center. You’d never know that when you walk in, you will be transported to an adorable recreation of a German restaurant. From the murals on the walls, the various rooms and areas of the restaurant, and the waitresses in German costume, it feels like you’ve walked into someplace totally different. We started out ordering some German beer, and didn’t realize a large is actually GIGANTIC. We had two humongous tankers of delicious beer served to us. Yum. On to the menu. I wasn’t expecting it to be very vegetarian friendly, and I was right. There aren’t many options other than appetizers. I tried the obatzda, a cheese spread served with imported bread, and was a little let down. The bread was thin, cold and hard — it must have just been pulled out a refrigerator. Maybe that’s the way it’s traditionally served, but it was a let down and didn’t go well with the yummy spread. On the other hand, my husband got a plate of schnitzel, I can’t remember which, and LOVEDIT. He was ready to go back the very next day and have it again. The salad, the meat, the sides — he loved everything it came with. We wrapped up the meal with a serving of apfelkuchen. I’m not typically a dessert person, but I couldn’t resist eating a bite, and then I couldn’t resist devouring a full half of it. This stuff is the food of the gods. It was insanely delicious and I would pay good money to know what their recipe is. Seriously, it would be worth a trip just to eat more of this heavenly dessert. In sum, we can’t wait to go back. There are a couple of other potential vegetarian options for me to give a shot, and even if I can’t find a dish right for me, I still want to come here to feel transported to a little slice of Germany while drinking delicious beer!

This was my first time eating German cuisine and let me tell you, this place did not disappoint! I would definitely come back again. Portion sizes are worth the price you pay and customer service is wonderful and attentive. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to try something different! The best part was we went on a Tuesday, which was buy one, get one half off entrée! I ordered the Zwiebelschnitzel which had sautéed onions and a sunny side up egg on it. Really great combinations and the schnitzel had great flavoring to it. My friends ordered the Hahnchenschnitzel(breaded chicken breast) and the Schaferschnitzel(stuffed with feta cheese, prosciutto ham). I took a bite of each of theirs and I enjoyed it. Each entrée came with a soup of the day or salad. I don’t remember the name of the soup but it was a beef stew with a nice spicy flavoring to it. The only complaint I would have is the mint that they give you at the end of your meal… But other than that, great restaurant!

This is probably one of my favorite places in the area to eat. It is run by a family and they are also waiting on you and helping in every possible way. They have amazing sausages, schnitzels, bier, and you have to give their Black Forest cake a try(bring a few people to eat it). Also, they have a pretty awesome potato soup. I have never had a bad meal here. The only complaint is my wife has a pork allergy so most of the menu is off limits. They have ONE chicken dish that she can order. I would request they add other than pork to their menu.

I’ve been looking for a good German restaurant near my house and I finally found one. Many of my grandparents’ generation were first or second generation Americans(from Germany) so we always ate great German food at our get-togethers. I’ve missed that as I’ve moved away from the main group and have been looking for a substitue ever since. I found the closest thing in a long time as we ate at Everything German last night. My son and I split their House Sampler plate to get an idea of what kinds of food they provide, as well as introduce him to more authentic German food. It was extremely good and diverse, a little bit of everything, and even included two types of mustard to complement. The meat dishes were very good but the best(and most pleasant) surprise was the preparation of their sauerkraut. Unlike the typical store bought variety, this was very tasty and complemented all the foods provided. My son was so impressed with both mustards he mixed it with each of the dishes just to learn which went best together. Without question we will be back. This time we will be bringing the rest of the family. For anyone new to german food, or just wanting to expand your taste buds, I highly recommend the sampler. Unless you have a huge appetite, it is probably best to have at least 3 eating from it. Most times four would have a difficult time.

My goodness this place is amazing. I have finally discovered a place to get TRUE German food in the DFW area! Although it’s a bit of a drive from my home in Flower Mound, I find it totally worth it. Leave your calorie-constricting eating attitude at the door folks. Food is very rich so be advised if you order an appetizer you will probably be full by the time your entrée arrives. Spatzle is the best I have ever had! It’s not bland and flavorless like other German restaurants I have been to. Entrees come with a choice of soup or salad. I had their hearty potato soup and it was amazing and extremely filling. They also offer goulash soup which is also great. I chose the schnitzeltopf for my main entrée, which is schnitzel topped with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, and a creamy mushroom and leek sauce. It also comes with a side order of spatzle which I gladly dipped in my mushroom sauce. The combination of these flavors was magic in my mouth! Be sure to also try the cabbage rolls and the apple strudel. Portions are crazy big! I’m happy because I have a meal to take to work tomorrow. Place is family owned and operated, and the owners daughters are actually the waiters. They are extremely nice and helped us decide what to order based on what they liked to eat. Needless to say their suggestions were spot on! Service was excellent and food was delivered promptly. This is a bit of a hole in the wall place; it actually looks like it was a Chinese restaurant before they took it over based on the woodwork. Nonetheless they made it their own and have great German décor. Will definitely be returning for my German food fix!
