We’ve usually had an ok experience here, usually only coming during the 7.99 sale. I usually only get my hair cut once a year, my daughter usually twice, my husband gets his when they run the promo. Usually they have two stylist working at a time. Today though they had 3 – 4 people which made it quicker for my husband to get done, we had worried it would be a wait with a family of 4 in front of him. The person who we think is the manager my husbands had cut his hair a couple times & is super nice. 99% of the time we have a good experience … Why I have to drop a star is 1 person that gave bad service on two separate occasions. Last time we were here she was rude to my kid & barely cut my husband hair, the time before she messed up my hair. If you care to read detail continue on below otherwise that is my summed up review! There is one stylist here, I can’t remember her name, an older lady that I wouldn’t recommend unless you are willing to be Strong willed with what you want. She wasn’t there today so I’m not sure if she’s still there or only a week day worker. All 3 of us that have hair to cut in our family had different issues with her, each one of us has had her cut our hair once & we prefer someone else. My daughter she got frustrated that there were a lot of people waiting & her hair was slightly tangly after a day at school & errands, even though I had just done a quick brush in the car. She made a rude comment about to not bring her back to her unless I’ve put in de-tangler in x amount of time before … No one at great clips or other place has made that demand for her, even when her hair was messier, I think it was that she was trying to rush thru cause my husband was right after my daughter. She barely cut his hair, like seriously I saw him after & asked if he even got a hair cut! She just did a couple clips took off the cover & asked for who’s next. My husband went ahead & got up out of politeness even though she didn’t do what he asked! With me on a separate occasion before that last visit I asked for the length to be where I can put all of my hair in a pony tail, she asked if layers ok & I agreed as long as my hair could still go in the pony tail cause I have a kid under a year who grabs hair. She gave me a layer that was just below my eyes that made it impossible to put up with out clipping the shortest layer back with clips.(I have not had bangs sense 6th grade for a reason, hair in my eyes does nothing but make me mad!)

My son’s haircut was just fine(not great shading, but eh… he’s 7, so we’re all happy with a classic little boy trim, or we would’ve gone to a more $$ salon). What I am NOT okay with is the guy who changed the number on the receipt to bump his tip several dollars. Seriously? Watch out…

Disorganized. Two people actually cutting, one woman working a register, asking the cutters who was next. Did not inspire confidence. Left. That being said, the haircut could have been awesome, but they were understaffed for the volume, no seats available, and why the heck would a cutter be paying more attention to who was next than the person working the register?

I got a pretty good cut here. My haircut should be pretty easy, as each time I get it cut, there are slightly fewer hairs than were previously there. Anyway, there was a slight mix upon greeting me in the store. I was the only customer in the waiting area, but they couldn’t figure out my name, even though they had entered it into the computer not 5 minutes before. Strange. I wasn’t able to determine if they had misunderstood me or if they were not using the customer service system appropriately. The other weird thing was that the barber must run her own salon or something as well, because she would mention what she has clients do at the other place, so I thought that was a little strange as well. Anyway, overall service I received was pretty good, and I would likely go back, but I’m just not in Hurst very often anymore.

Rachel did a great job on my hair. Took direction well and even had a great convo about video games with me. :) Definatly worth the 13 bucks for a mens haircut. Will definatly go back when it’s time for another trim. :)
