Hertz Rent A Car

I was forced to use Hertz because of my insurance claim. Today, I returned the white Kia Optima just before closing. The associate was very short and rude. There is an older man that apparently inspects the cars. He comes in, slams the keys on the desk right beside me and yells «There’s dog hair all over that God damn car!» to the girl! I was shocked! There WAS some dog hair in the car upon return. In no way was that a cause for cussing and being rude! She then told me there is a mandatory charge of $ 150 for pet hair??? I then proceeded to clean it out myself for the next 15 min. She then said she would have to take it around back to see if the rest would vacuum out.
She squealed wheels in the rental and turned the corner. She came back and said since I got most of it out, she would charge me only $ 75??? No where in the contract, paperwork, or online does it state ANY charge for pet hair let alone $ 150!!! She also told me that the car was supposed to be brought back fully DETAILED??? I’ve NEVER heard of a rental car place insisting on professional DETAILING upon return? She also wasn’t able to tell me where to find this info in my contract or in any Hertz policy either. She said she thought there was a sign in the downtown Hertz where she usually worked? This is RIDICULOUS! This was the most unprofessional BUSINESS, not just a rental car one, and the most unprofessional PEOPLE I’ve EVER had to deal with!
I was given the manager, Brandi’s name to contact tomorrow. If there are ANY made up charges taken out of my account, I’m going to be even more livid! What a HORRIBLE experience. NEVER again. I have NEVER had such a rude, horrible experience like this and I highly suggest you steer clear from ANY Hertz rent a car establishments.

These guys definitely came around

Absolute worst service I’ve experienced in my life. The employees were extremely rude and had terrible attitudes. When I returned the vehicle back, I asked for a ride back home and they said «it has to be a 10 minute radius there and back» I told them where I lived and they argued with me that it would take longer than 10 minutes. I called Hertz’s customer service line to file a complaint and they themselves were very unprofessional and lacked a sense of interest. I will never rent from Hertz again. Spend the extra cash and take yourself to enterprise. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

Very unprofessional and rude. I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE to this place. You’re better off walking or hitch hiking than to deal with these people.

My wife had a car reservation for 9:00 this morning. It’s after 10:00, and the car is still «on its way.»
Worse yet, we went with the online prepaid option. I reserved the car with one of our joint credit card accounts, and didn’t think to use my wife’s name on the card rather than mine. The clerk was going to charge an additional $ 13+ per day to add my wife as a driver even though the reservation was in her name. This was supposedly for «security reasons,» which suddenly vanished when we were finally asked about whether we had AAA (we were about to walk out at that point).
This reflects really badly on Hertz as a company, and I doubt we will rent from them again.
