Putt Putt Golf & Games

Took our sons there on a Tuesday. Was reeeeally dead, which I don’t mind. They had fun. Just bring hand sanitizer and use it often. They came down with hand foot mouth and that’s the only place they could have gotten it.

Came for a birthday party and very glad I didnt spend my own money. We witnessed the stress of the parents as there wasnt enough chairs or food as requested as soon as we arrived. The majority of the games were broken or malfunctioning. The first time we notified them it was no problem to fix. Atfer finishing the game card disappointed at the amount of games that were un-​available, I let an employee know most of the games needed attending to and was met with blank stares. It was a very unsatisfying experience.

This review is only for the putt-​putt. Pretty lame. I don’t think they put that much thought into the course – it was as if they were like, «so, uh, for the next hole, instead of putting the hole in the middle, let’s put it on the right side. and that’s it.» Plus, all the holes were 2-​par. I get that they want the course to be easy enough for children to enjoy, but it still oozed «poorly thought-​up».
That said, it’s hard to completely hate putt putt, and so I gave this place two stars instead of one.
I have nothing to say about anything else about the rest of the place, though it looked like there is a lot going on in terms of activities and things to do. I think it’s probably a good place to take small children for a family bonding activity, but if you don’t have children and just want to have an innocent time putt-​putting with friends, I’m sure there are better places in the metroplex for that.

Went here for a date night with my wife. It was cool, way better than going to a movie (staring at a screen not able to talk). Fairly inexpensive. It was a little run down and does not have as big of a selection of games as say a Dave and Busters but was cool for a different kind of date night. Batting cages are fun, only $ 2 for 20 pitches, and the putt putt was $ 8 a game per person. Probably will be back.

Got a coupon in the mail that made for a good deal. Go kart track was well run and not too busy so we got to ride several times. Arcade had several games out of order. Girl at refreshment stand gave me back incorrect change twice.

We came here with 4 free rounds of golf games each with 4 tokens per coupon that we had gotten from the libraries summer reading program. One of which we had actually gotten last summer but my husband and I went on a date and only redeemed ours cause we didn’t think our at the time 3 year old was quite ready for putt putt. My husband doesn’t really like that kind of stuff in the heat so when I told him we had gotten 3 more this year he said to just use them for the kiddo and I.
Before I get to my experience … This is an older location and it does look its age. Games inside are worth more than they really are but isn’t that true of a lot of places like that. I didn’t look at the prices of the rides or golf cause we were redeeming coupons but from what I can tell not bad for what you’re getting, but there are at least two places like this in the area so anyway. Like most places that are old and are of this kind of amusement, the food isn’t going to be great and the service is what you would expect out of a bunch of high school age folks. (We didn’t eat anything, just based on what I saw, and we didn’t use the rest room while there so can’t comment on that.)
Our initial redemption was smooth, the clerk let us redeem all of our coupons, 2 rounds of golf for the kiddo and I and 16 tokens on a game card. We opted to play our rounds of golf first. My daughter got thru the first round and we were done. We went to the counter and asked the outdoor employee if we could play our next round another day and he said it should be on our card and checked for us. They were not so they said they put two rounds back on the card for me. My daughter and I went in and played our games. Someone gave us their card with not enough credits left to play any games so we went back to combined cards and put a little more credit on there. That’s when we ran into issues and unfortunately it was the employees honest that got them in trouble.
They only credited the card for one adult game. I said we redeemed for 4 games and only used two so there should be too on there… she told us well kids my daughters age are free no matter what … They employee ADMITED that she let me redeem coupons for a player who was free anyway. I told them then they owed me 3 rounds of golf because I as the only «Paid» adult am the only one who played a real game … I don’t really know if they credited the card for the other two games but honestly I doubt I’m going to go back and use them. I didn’t actually pay for them it was just the principle of the thing, I could have given them to one of my friends kids who could have really used them.
We finished playing our credits, and the ticket eater of course short changed us probably 4 tickets (8 total because one ticket counts for 2) but again I really didn’t care; my daughter had fun and I had only spent a whole dollar for the experience so it really didn’t matter.
We’ve only ever been there twice in memory, both times redeeming coupons, I really doubt we will go back on our own accord unless one of our friends want to go or if we’re attending a birthday party. Another putt putt place in the area, which may not be as big as this location, but is a lot closer and based on the exterior a lot cleaner looking & much better kept. (And you don’t have to get stuck on an access road to get there or back out.)

If you are a minority… DO NOT GO HERE. This place’s management is racist and will try to do anything to put you in jail. I’ve seen 3 occasions when this has happened, and the police of this city are racist too. BEWARE

Spent about $ 100 bucks to have a good time with my kids. I kinda expected to pay so I guess it was worth it. My child had fun and we were together so yes it was.
Don’t expect to race the go-​kart with your child unless you are both over 60″ tall. They need to work on some of the games as they will take your money. The attendant did refund when we were able to find him.

The reviews on this place are pretty spot-​on, both good and bad.
The putt-​putt is dinky and mildly interesting but easy for the littler kiddos to manage. The bumber boats and fun, and prepare to get wet. The ‘arcarde’ has a lot of games that don’t work, and will just eat your tokens.
The bathrooms are a HORROR. Not sure what folks think when they take a ‘deuce’ on the floor of a public restroom, but they did and no one was in a hurry to clean it up.
I wouldn’t recommend eating here, nor would I take the faint of heart inside the place.
That said, we got some cheap entertainment out of it and showered when we got home. Seriously, a good, long shower.

Came here for a birthday party for my nephew on a Tuesday which was a good idea because Tuesdays they have a good deal for $ 20 you get unlimited putt putt and go karts along with the 3D movie and you also get coins. well what seemed like a good idea turned out to be a bad event. not only do you have rude employee’s but they are understaffed for a day that requires more crew members to work. in fact i could of sworn allot of off duty employee’s were hanging out still wearing the uniforms. so first we saw the AD’s for the unlimited deal and we go to the counter and then were told that we have to walk outside just to purchase tickets that could of easily been sold inside. but what ever that’s nothing since the best part was the fact that we waited 7mins at the kitchen area trying to order pizza for the kids and nobody was on duty i then had to go back to the counter and ask for help and were told that somebody should be working and to just wait. we waited another 10mins and still nobody showed up so I was pissed off and i asked the person at the counter to get somebody to the kitchen now and they did. for over priced cheap pizza it was actually good. so we get ready to start playing games we ended up loosing more coins on machines that either are not working and just took the coins or the machines were off and they didn’t bother to write a note on the machine to say that its out of order. oh and there’s a game in the back that’s rigged and you can easily see that the sides were cut out from the inside and your supposed to get 4balls but instead only given 1 ball at a time and it takes a long time to have it reload just to finish a turn oh and so there’s supposed to be a light above the ball dispenser that would give you an advantage to help you see where the ball will drop but the light bulb was removed so its hard to see where it lands. it took a few games to finally get it timed right and its the easiest game to play and win a bunch of tickets. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
so anyways we finally decided to play some putt-​putt while the sun was out. so as we go outside i notice this place was so dirty and torn up. its a crap hole when you walk outside the place was filthy and area’s that’s supposed to have water just had sludge mixed with leafs, cups and balls i mean WTF nothing was clean and most of the carpet/​turf where you would play was torn so it was just more annoying trying to make the balls in. but the go karts made up for it and my nephews were having a allot of fun but here’s where they get you. those bastards didn’t inform me that go karts are limited to when you can actually ride so after getting on 3times in a row i was told that i have to just let the little kids ride. i mean there’s 3 lanes packed with go karts but they rather stop grown up who paid $ 20 to get on so instead I’m turned down because they are gonna let TWO kids ride by them self’s because its not fair for them! WTF EVER this place sucks!
after waiting just for kids to get on it got annoying so i figured i would see about taking advantage of the 3D movie. the 3 short movies were really fun and awesome but as a 9yr film tech i noticed that this place needed some minor work done to improve the quality of the show. I’m not sure who’s in charge of maintenance to the projector but i needed some serious cleaning and minor adjustments to fit the screen. also the lights from the outside were bleeding through the opening on the curtains that’s supposed to block out the light so when your watching the movies your getting a line across the top of the screen that gets in the way of the image but the focus just needs to be adjusted to help improve the image. the reason I’m complaining about the small theater is because they actually charge $ 4.99 a person just for a 5min 3D video! THAT’S A RIP OFF your better off just taking the kids to a movie theater for a matinée price.
either way this crap hole lost my business and ill just stick to trying out the MAIN EVENT close to hulen and see how that place works out.

This place was great! We had a lot of fun playing mini golf. The course was very entertaining for the whole family. The rides looked like a lot fun. We will be going back for the Tues. night special with unlimited mini golf, rides and 80 game tokens for $ 20. Sounds like a good deal. Btw, if you put the address listed into your gps it will take you to the wrong part of the 820. Its actually off of the pipeline exit. :)

The Putt Putt Golf course is dinky and in serious need of remodel but the games and the family time is priceless. 40 tokens, all day golf, and a hot dog and soda for $ 10 on a Saturday. Heck to the Yeah! We didn’t have time to go on the go karts or the bumper boats, next time… we were having too much time collecting our loot with our over 3000 tickets we accumulated.

I must say this experience turned out to be much more fun than I thought it would, and the niece and nephew we took there had a complete best time. I was told by my nephew that it was the «Best day of my entire life.» He’s eight, so thankfully he has a lot of time for things to get better.
The golf was fun, though the courses are not what I remembered miniature golf courses to be. There were no small gaps or moving obstacles, but still the kids had fun, so I guess that’s the point. There are two courses and we played the easier Harbor course. I was told the Adventure course is a bit harder, but the holes looked very similar to me.
One tip on the golf: Whether you get a hole in one or not, say that you did (wink wink). As it turns out, we ALL got at least one (legit), and that nets you each a scratch off game card that, at the very least, will get you a 2-​for-​1 coupon on the other attractions (see the back of the card for other prizes). So unless you buy a package (which are very good deals), play golf first and get the coupon.
After some golf and games of skill and chance for coupons, we checked out the snack bar. We ordered chicken tenders ($ 7.99) and a hot dog ($ 1.99). The food was OK and the prices reasonable. Each basket of tenders, with fries, fed an adult and a child. Pizza is also available for $ 10 and I think $ 12 for a medium or large. It looked like typical conveyor-​belt pizza, but OK none the less.
The kids had fun on a few rides and the 8-​year old was just barely tall enough to do the rookie cars on the big go-​cart track. Rookie seems to be smaller slower cars on the same big track, which is pretty cool (only rookies are on the track, as they alternate its use). The big track also has single and double cars for older/​taller riders. There’s also a kiddie go-​cart track, for shorter riders, which looked popular too.
Bottom line: Check the package deals (see Russell R.‘s review or the website) as there seem to be some very good deals. There also a «buy in advance» holiday package that is worth checking out. It’s no state fair, but the kids did not know that, it cost less and parking was free and plentiful.

We certainly spend quite a bit of time at Putt Putt since we have a little one. Who wants to keep a kiddo inside? Let them play outside and be kids, right?!
The courses at this particular Putt Putt are playable for kids. We had our kiddo’s birthday party here this year, and all of the kids were under five years old and were able to «play» the courses. One of the best features of this location, though, are the rides. They have airplanes and teacups for the little ones as well as boats and gocarts for the bigger kids!
My one complaint is that they do not always have enough staff. It wasn’t a problem during the birthday party, but we have been on weekdays and had to wait for quite some time to ride the kiddie rides. Anxious kiddos do not understand «wait» when they are looking at flashing teacups and dreaming about the two-​minute spin they are about to take.
I definitely recommend Putt Putt for parties. The prices are incredibly reasonable, they invite parent involvement, and, while they do have a plan, they make changes to accomodate the kids. I kind of hope that my own child wants to have another party here because so many places are unreasonably expensive or far too structured for little ones. What kid wants to make a craft at a birthday party when there are games to be played?! No way. They want mediocre pizza and outdoor fun!

I enjoy miniature golf like the next person, but there is a better place to play it at then this location (even though this is probably the best Putt Putt Golf location within Tarrant County).
Do yourself a favor and make the drive to Malibu Speedzone in Dallas.
It might be more expensive, but Malibu has more to do (4 Go Kart tracks, a carnival ride, arcade, a more innovative golf course and… oh, a full bar).
There is something to be said about being able to play miniature golf while drinking beer and that something is GREAT! :D

One of the few places in the Metroplex I would consider going to play miniature golf! They have two outdoor courses and great value packages you can purchase for a summer worth of fun, like $ 20/​$ 25 for 10 games. Their arcade also includes two of my favorites, skeeball and air hockey.
