Have you ever had that feeling you are somewhere your not quit wanted? Well I can now say I have. My love and i went out for a late dinner. The website for this restaurant says it closes at 9:30 and we arrived a little before 8:30. As we walked in I belive it was the hostess who gave us the oddest look. My love and i both asked if maybe they had closed or were close to closing feeling maybe we had misread the hours of operation. After looking at her watch she begrudgingly stated that they wld be open an hour so we were ok. We should have left however it felt rude to just walk out and I figure everyone has a bad day occasionally. Maybe today was hers. She left us standing there and returned to her cell phone. We were directed to sit anywhere. I believe this is a family owned business as it seemed to be the family was the only ones there besides us. Which is great normally if anyone was at all inviting or welcoming. We did order. And we stayed to eat but we both agreed that this was the most uncomfortable we have ever been on an outing. The food was mediocre at best but this could have been overshadowed by the atmosphere. Im sorry to say I would not recommend this spot to anyone

We were looking for pizza couple days ago and found this place. Let’s just say that if you are looking to feel awkward and uncertain if you even should be in this restaurant then you are in the right place. It was bad as soon as we walked in from the the obnoxious stare from the supposedly hostess to the unprofessional staff trying to collect money 2 tables down from where we sat our selves. As dead as the place was you would have figured they would have been glad to see customers walk in, as only family members were the ones eating. Nobody there made us feel welcome more like how dare we intruded on their time. The food is nothing more than bland stuff that they threw together on a plate. My girlfriend ordered chicken parmigiana it tasted like frozen chicken from Costco smothered in canned tomato sauce, it came with with a house salad that was soaked in vinegar! It almost singed my nose hairs! I ordered a meatball sandwich. Which by the way I was almost served just 1 meatball for dinner because the guy that took our order wasn’t paying attention. Once again nothing special. I could have saved the stupid rudeness from that girl and the awkward feeling like we were in a soup kitchen trying to eat for free. And went to eat QT hotdogs for cheaper and better taste! I do not recommend this place at all!

I went here for lunch and ordered the lasagna. From start to finish I enjoyed my experience at Ti Amo. We were greeted when we walked in, it looks like a husband/wife team runs the place. The wife took orders, drinks came quickly along with salad for the lunch special. No Caesar but their house dressing(red, tomato… tangy/vinaigrette) was very good. The bread was fresh, made in-house and excellent. They don’t do anything fancy with the bread, no side marinara, not sprinkling of garlic/salt. Their bread is simply good bread, I used some to sop up a bid of salad dressing and also with my sauce from the lasagna… it was wonderful. The lasagna was pretty standard. They put a piece in one of those oval dishes, baked it and served. probably 5⁄6 layers or so, a great deal of melted cheese; but, it tasted good and I was very happy with the overall experience. I should also mention that the the whole thing: lasagna, salad and of course the bread was $ 4.99, that is hard to beat. They paid attention and brought out the entrée only after we finished our salads. I never felt rushed but rather quite welcome. I will definitely visit Ti Amo again.

This should be 4.5 stars. The food is avery good, except one time the chicken parmesan was too garlicky and tough. Coming here for almost 20 years and we love it! The pizza is great! BOYB!

We’ve ordered delivery from Ti Amo for MANY years now, but they’ve lost our business after our experience tonight. They sent the wrong order, chicken alfredo instead of the chicken parm we ordered. We called just before 9 p.m. and asked that they send out the correct order, as the craving for chicken parm was the only reason we ordered at all. They seemed to have no problem with resending the order. However, when the order still hadn’t arrived 50 minutes later, we called to check on it. At 9:50(10 minutes before their closing time) no one would answer the phone. We called back at 10, and still no answer. We are completely blown away by both the incompetent customer service, and the blatant disrespect. For anyone considering this place, I recommend an alternative — Tony’s on Harwood is great, and so is Sal’s on Industrial.

Was recommended by a friend, wanted to try! But they only except cash or check. What century are we in? Maybe next time if I’m in the neighborhood.

We became customers the year they opened 1996. We love the food and enjoy knowing the family that runs it. They are very nice and take good care of their customers. Very inexpensive. One place you get more than you pay for. BYOB is nice too!

Ti amo is that one comfortable neighborhood restaurant that gives you the warm welcome you expect when you go home after being away for a while. The environment is relaxed and cozy. The staff is always friendly and accomodating. Perfect for a casual night out with family or friends any day of the week. They won my loyalty with their always on point classic italian-american dishes with the unexpected low price. The pizza is always crispy, never doughy. They are very generous with their toppings. The salad is always crisp and satisfying. The house dressing is the best vinegarette for miles. I have tried every dish, and each one deserves a spot on their menu. Bring a bottle of wine because they are byob. They deliver and cater as well. Also note, they accept cash and check only. Ti amo is, hands down, one of my favorite restaurants in DFW.

A little hole in the wall locally owned restaurant. We were on our way to eat else where when I mentioned that place and two seprate friends had recomend that we try it. We sat down, it wasn’t very busy but it was 2 on a Sunday & there was a decent size group talking in the parking lot that seemed to have just left. We placed our order and then noticed the cash or check only on the menus on the table. Well that would have been nice to know ahead of time, so my husband had to run to get a $ 20 just in case. Luckly their prices are reasonable that the $ 20 ended up not being needed, but still…(The husband had a couple extra bills he found in his wallet to go with what cash I already had on me) The food was what we expected out of it … May go again when were in a pizza by the slice mood & don’t want to drive to far. Yet the cash or check only usually will mean having to search for the check book or a stop at the ATM which may keep us from going on a whim when we don’t feel like cookin after a long day at work or while running errands.

For the cost, quality, and satiating taste, pizza = five stars, hands down. I can only recall one night they were running slower than usual, but my family and I have been going to this little gem since we discovered it nearly 8 or so years ago(might be even more than that!). Within the past year, I have noticed the business and crowd there picking up, which is great! They consistently make AWESOME pizza with fresh toppings – for dine-in, to go(e.g. can call ahead on way back from school ;]), and delivery. The owner is in full-view in the back tossing the pizza dough, and you can clearly tell it is a largely family-run business. I haven’t had any pasta dishes in a while(appetite for pizza always overrides), but last I had – I cannot recall any associated negative connotations. If you get an entrée(but I’ve always been able to ask nicely when just ordering pizza), it comes with a basket of tasty bread rolls, which are fresh, warm, and, if you’re not careful, cause you to start sporting your own bread basket! The pizza is crazy cheap per slice and for what you get! If you order a whole pizza, you’ll get a good spread of toppings. If you order by the slice(or x2), they’ll take a slice(or 2) of cheese(«on standby») and PILE(artistically) on the toppings(just a random, oddball tip/observation lol). The«Ti Amo Special»(essentially ‘supreme’) is great, and the Veggie pizza is mind-blowing. It will convert any meat-lover. The Stromboli(a «supreme pizza» calzone) is also very good and enough for two meals! NOTE: they only take cash(have an older register), and BYOB!

Ti Amo supposedly means a deep sense of the words«I love you». That would be anything but what my husband and I experienced with our delivery order from Ti Amo tonight. The pizza is so-so, but I coerced my husband into trying it again because their menu offers more than pizza and wings, and I especially like pasta dishes. But once again we were disappointed and this time not just with the food. My pasta sampler was delivered submerged in sauce to the point where I could barely find my three pastas and once I did, they were all lumped together as one in a big pasta/cheese mess in the middle of the dish. I knew this couldn’t possibly be the way Ti Amo meant to deliver it, so I called the restaurant(I use that word lightly now) and asked to speak with a manager; the gentleman identified himself as the owner. I explained my disappointment with the meal and he got overly defensive but did ask, «do you want another one?». I told him no, I just wanted him to know that there was no three sampler pasta, only one big heap and it was a big soupy mess. He told me that Ti Amo’s has been in business for 15 years and that my opinion was just that and it was not going to make ‘no difference to him”. I told him that I was very disappointed and he then said, and I do quote this, «I don’t care». Nice. I won’t be ordering from these folks ever again. I did take photos of the soupy pasta dish and offered to email them to him; he didn’t want to see them.

The food is pretty good and the price is more than reasonable. The place is a small family owned restaurant. They do not sell bear or wine, but they do have a BYOB policy which is nice. The food that I had was good, and the entire party I was dinning with was very pleased. I have had their pizza. I liked it. It was pretty much what you would expect out of a private business. I have had the stromboli, and again it was what you would expect out of a small restaurant. My wife has ordered their pasta and she was happy with it.

Ehhhhh. Pizza: taste was fine. Texture. icky. Pizza should be able to be folded but should not droop like a limp noodle when you pick it up. I had one slice and was glad I only ordered one. Stromboli: Was overdone and had two burnt spots. Sausage was really heavily salted to the point it overpowered and made the stromboli not very good at all. I was torn about taking the leftover carcass home or not but guilt at leaving it won over. Service: The young girls seemed surprised I wanted to have a seat rather than get take out. They never checked on me to see if my food was alright. Not impressed. I’ll stick with Tony’s by Tom Thumb over Ti Amo’s.
