Great workmanship and good old fashioned work ethic. We contacted Rock River mainly because it was nearby to get an estimate on tearing down a very large, old, and poorly constructed deck on a house we had recently purchased. Buck Raith, one of the owners, came to our house and talked about what would be done in detail. We talked about materials, style, support, everything we could think of and more. Buck gave us an estimate and references. After looking at some of their work, we were impressed and decided to go with them. Surprisingly, we did not have to make any down payment or deposit. We were told we didn’t pay until we were satisfied with the work.
Work began on schedule. The deconstruction took longer than expected, which did not surprise me. We were very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the workmanship throughout. We changed the railings and were only charged the difference in the cost of the materials.
We are extremely satisfied with the result. It was better than we hoped for. The deck is beautiful and is exactly what we wanted, and at the price we agreed to at the beginning.
If you need a deck built, or need any other work done on your house, I would say look no further. You can’t go wrong. I would be happy to give a personal reference.
