Went on 06/25/2016. It was over 85 degrees inside the restaurant. Dinner was no better than average. Had the Chef Special and Shrimp Alfredo. Average at best. They were pushing the Chef created dessert… half a peach with some sort of caramel filling. The peach was hard(as in crunchy green) even though it had been baked. It was about a 1 out of 10. Informed the waitress of this and ordered tiramisu. It was the best part of the meal, and she admitted it was not made there, but came in a box. With 3 margaritas it came to over $ 120. She didn’t take off the gross desserts she had pushed and made no concession for the miserable heat inside the restaurant. I’ll never go there again. My $ 20 lunch at the Rib Crib the next day was better. Do yourself a favor and go to the ‘chain’ Italian place in town. You’ll go a lot better.

One of the nicer places in Hutch to go for dinner. It’s our favorite place for an evening out without the kids. If you want to eat on the cheaper side the fire baked pizzas are hard to beat. On the higher end, any of the steak or fish will be excellent. They usually recommend reservations for the busier evenings, but we kind of enjoy sitting at the bar near the pizza oven and watching them work. In the winter the fire feels very good

This was a nice place to sit and zone out after a day of driving + work. I ordered the Simple Pleasure pizza and didn’t care for it – it was fine, but I had been told it was wood-fired pizza(listen, I wasn’t expecting NY’s Franny’s, but something up that alley). The crust was sweet with holes poked in it(maybe baked in a pizza pan?), and didn’t have the taste/texture I wanted. Service was friendly.

Dinner at Jillian’s while in Hutchinson with my husband and 7 year old. Good food, nice portions and great service. Enjoyed the roasted red pepper soup and spaghetti and meatballs. Fettuccine Alfredo was okay.

Our party of 4 visited for the first time on New Year’s Eve. The atmosphere was warm and cozy – very inviting! They were out of bread(?) so served us a flatbread cracker that I found bland but others enjoyed. It begged for a dipping oil. My Seared Ahi Tuna was melt-in-your-mouth flavorful, tender and the hit of the table. The Blackened Salmon was perfectly blackened with just the right amount of seasoning. The lasagna was excellent as well. I felt the grilled asparagus could have been grilled just a minute more, and another friend found her ½ grilled chicken a bit dry, but flavorful. The service was remarkable, and the waiter was very patient with the special requests required at the table. We will definitely return – can’t wait to try the many mouth-watering dishes on the menu!

I have been here on several occasions and always order something new and different. The calamari is particularly delicious. The food is consistently delicious. The bar is stocked, they have a good selection of wine, and my drinks are always strong and delicious. Also, the bartender is smokin hot.

In Hutch Kansas? Really? Elegant décor. Extensive menu. Good service. Reasonable prices. It had been years since my last visit to Jillian’s so I just had to stop after spending a day at the state fair. Their lovely setting and delicious foods have not flagged at all. You can go quick and casual with a wood-fired pizza or you can dress up and dine elegantly on some generously cut meats. The wine list is extensive and flexible. Well worth the drive — from anywhere! Went there with a date and got a nice secluded seat toward the back of the restaurant. The martinis were excellent(turtle dove). Strong, but not too strong where it overpowered the flavor. Filet mignon was cooked exceptionally well and was tender and juicy. Server was polite and very knowledgeable of the menu. The red onion soup with the Italian bread was exquisite. Highly recommended date spot.

I first tried Jillian’s in the fall of 2014 when I was in Hutchinson on business. I was so delighted to find such a wonderful, independently owned restaurant. I travel to a lot of small towns and usually get stuck with chain places. When I learned that I had to go back to Hutchinson earlier this week, I was delighted because I knew that I would be dining at Jillian’s again! I suggest the wood fired pizzas. They also have a great beer selection, delicious homemade bread, and a wonderful ambiance. I doubt I’ll ever be in Hutchinson again but if I am, I will once again schedule my day around dinner at Jillian’s.

My friend and I had a delightful evening at this treasure of a spot in Hutchison. The wine selection was much more than expected. We both enjoyed our meals but were most impressed by the hospitality. The downtown Hutchison location even offers a wonderful patio, great music. All in all a memorable experience. We will definitely go back if in the area.

Amazing! We came in from out of state for the weekend and came across Jillian’s downtown. We had the Toasted Ravioli for an appetizer, the house salad and a Calzone for lunch. You will not be disappointed!

Went here for the first time to have an anniversary dinner with my husband. We have four kids so it was nice to get out of the house and a very nice surprise to go somewhere with such a beautiful atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the wine and the menu. I had a glass of wine that the server recommended to go with my diver scallops and sweet corn purée. It was an excellent recommendation the wine went beautifully with the meal I ordered. The meal was; in a word, incredible! Wonderful experience

I enjoyed the fact that pizzas were half priced on HH. I got here early after a work meeting so that I could sit alone and get some work finished. The bartenders both were fantastic — attentive yet leave you alone to work too. Made good recommendations too. I had the toasted ravioli appetizer. This is NOT St. Louis toasted rav; but that’s ok. It was good. The marinara here is good. Also, be aware, the Unilocal menu is not the most current. They no longer have the cheese plate available — which i planned to have as my dessert… The Maui Wowi pizza is cloyingly sweet. It is delicious pizza and crust with great cheese and toppings — but without marinara and only the chili sauce it is too sweet for me. I added jalapenos — which helped a bit. I only ate a small portion of each thing I ordered. Since I don’t eat sweet desserts and couldn’t after the pizza, I tried the french onion soup cup. It really helped end on a good note to get rid of the sweet aftertaste. Overall this place is fantastic! It is a definite must visit in Hutchinson!!!

Summary: Everyone i’ve talked with calls them an Italian restaurant so i’m reviewing them as such. If you’ve ever had real Italian food, you’ll be disappointed and should make the drive into Wichita instead of going there. I’ve been there twice and am going to try them a third time when the weather breaks as I really want to like them. The good: The staff is fantastic, the location is perfect, and the décor is warm and cozy. Their coffee is top notch and worth a visit by itself. The meh: The pasta dishes i’ve tried have been average to unremarkable. I’m not sure if they’re lazy from lack of competition or just ignorant of how Italian food should taste. Regardless the pasta they serve is bland and nothing you’ll look forward to. The bad: Unreasonably expensive for the quality of food provided.

What a neat place in downtown Hutch. The ambiance is incredible, a very nice place for drinks or a nice dinner. We had the wood oven pizzas which were incredible. The wait on the food was a bit long but our waiter made the best of it. They make homemade bread with an olive oil dip. It’s incredible. This is a jewel of a place for Hutchinson.

It is like a gem in Hutch. Outside already made a great impression on me. An unmistakeable landmark along Main Street. It matches the charms of a quaint little town but when you step inside you are greeted with ultimate sophistication. I love the wine list and the pastas are al dente! Service was superb and very professional. Décor was artful and high class. Dessert is highly recommended. Coffee was nicely brewed. We are coming back.

JIllian’s is Hutch’s tiny food saving grace. I’m from CA and have been in Hutch 9 months now… Jillian’s is the ONLY place that has food beyond typical diner burger/fries that actaully has some synamic flavor! I LOVE this place! Is it pricey? A little… BUT you get what you pay for! Quailty ingredients combined in flavorful combinations that are exciting and far exceed the burger/sandwich food culture of Hutch. The biggest down fall for me in moving here has been the food. There is NO variety outside of burgers, fries or when I’m jonesin for a nice quality meal that takes me back to feeling like I’m in a highly populated urban area again I go to Jillian’s. Everything I’ve had has been great. The shrimp appetizer with melted butter and cheese… AMAZING…so amazing that we asked our waiter to bring us some more of the«juice» so we could dip the already delicious bread in it. Atmosphere of the place si great too… just enough swank without trying too hard or being over the top. They make a great martini too :)

I had a business lunch here and will definitely return with future clients when I’m in the area. I enjoyed the margherita pizza and a side house salad. Excellent atmosphere. Friendly service.
