Don’t miss this excellent café if you are in town! Coffee was great and the barista takes a real pride. Our Americanos were perfect and cream served on the side in an individual metal jug was a nice touch. They have an excellent range of baked goods and our banana nuts muffin was a good choice.

It’s always nice to find a great, privately owned coffee shop when you’re touring around the country. This place was awesome. Great vibe about the place. Quiet, relaxing, nice music, and the barista was friendly and conversational. Before we leave town, I’ll be back for more!

Great place to meet your friends. Even though I don’t like coffee, they fixed me a decadent drink with caramel, chocolate and whipped cream. Later I found out it had a little coffee, but it was delicious! Friendly people, staff and customers. I will definitely be back. Next time I’ll try the chai tea!

Yum! Forget Starbucks down the street. This place has books, games and lovingly crafted coffee.

Stopped in yesterday for a simple coffee, to go, thought I’d try something local. First thing I noticed was that the place needs a really good cleaning. The place is huge and seems to offer a lot, but this was not a good experience for me. The barista seemed frustrated with the«needy» customer in front of me. Took him a while to finally get the guy all set. Now it was my turn… all I asked for was a dark coffee. The guy was not happy to be at work it seemed. No «sorry for the wait» vibe here. He went through 3 empty carafes on the back counter. Then he found one that had some coffee. I was just stoked to finally be getting out of there, I wish I’d of taken a sip before I left. It was weak, tasteless and disappointing. I tried to give it a chance as I drove away, but poured it out after driving a couple of blocks. Not ready to give up so I stopped at the Starbucks down the road… bummed that my attempt to step outside the big box coffee shop was unsuccessful at Metro.

We like coffee, and we like to travel. So we tend to seek out coffee houses in our travels. We visited Metropolitan on 05/23/2015, a cold rainy Saturday. Upon entering you’ll find an inviting atmosphere of comfy chairs and small tables. The coffee is top tier and makes the sludge served in that well known chain store pale in comparison. The staff is friendly and inviting, and had our drink order made and served in no time. We settled into a couple of chairs next to the window and enjoyed our americanos, with a scone and a lemon bar. Sipping the hot java and watching the rain and the world go by as the chill was slowly chased from our bones. It was a delightful visit and just the thing for a wet afternoon, Metro we’ll be back!

This is by far the best choice for a cup of coffee in Hutch. While they may not have the most exciting blends or brew methods, they do still make good lattés and espresso. The atmosphere of this place is what really sells it though. Theres a large shelf in the corner full of board games and puzzles that can occupy you for hours with friends, several tables to study at, or just hang out. They often have live music here. If you live here, or just happen to be passing through, this place is still a great choice.

Do yourself a favor and drive right past Fivebucks. Metro has beautiful people, a great atmosphere, and fantastic drinks. No, there isn’t a drive-through. Call a Whambulance. Park your hind quarters in one of their comfy chairs and enjoy yourself for a moment. That’s right, go-getter, you deserve some serenity time. Set aside your worries. Think about trivial things like growing a beard and paisley shirts. You know you want to.

Great place to meet old friends when you are in town. Coffee was AMAZING, really, I was not expecting it to taste very good and I was blown away by the coffee art and the taste!

Loved their Sumatra dark coffee. Imagine my surprise when I saw GLUTENFREE cookies AND brownies!!! I live in Colorado, yet from the Hutchinson area. Gluten free is something I see a lot in CO, but not so much here. Such great service and the coffee was amazing!

Traveling through I found this place on Unilocal. Really great atmosphere to grab a drink, dessert, and sit with my laptop for awhile and get work done. Quiet and cozy atmosphere. Service is great. Much larger that it looks from the outside. Great seating and big chairs to cuddle down into. A library of books on the wall to grab and read if you just want a place to chill and hang for awhile.

Was back in Hutch last week and I’m happy to say the Met still delivers. Great chai tea(had the Autumn Spice Chai this time, it was wonderful!). Wish I had more time to hang out and just enjoy one of their comfy sofas with a book. Next trip!

Try a cinnamon and brown sugar latte, my favorite for fall. As a college student, it’s a lovely place to drink coffee, study, and just enjoy the chill environment. The baristas are always great, and the owner really cares about the upkeep of the shop.

Such a find… Stopped to try a hot chocolate but found a gem in the orange guava Arnold Palmer… enough said! The inside is such a chill atmosphere and they have live music and line dancing a few times a month. Had I know about this place all three weeks I was visiting, I would hit this spot many times. Sadly, I hit it up my last day here. Such a great place… beats panera/Starbucks any day.

We went there this afternoon and *loved* it! We each ordered the pumpkin white mocha and a piece of carrot cake(they bake all desserts on site). Delicious! Both the guy who took our order and the barista(the latter is the owner’s son) were SUPER-nice and we really enjoyed talking to them. The interior is spacious, attractive and very comfortable(sofas, tables & chairs; artwork on the walls; and a bookcase filled with books & board games).

Love love this place. Baristas are chill and quick. There are all the extras you want in a traditional coffee house(old-school scrabble, anyone?) including live music and even dancing lessons of various types. In the summer it’s nice and cool and in winter, cozy and warm. Oh, and the bathroom is always clean! Yes, there’s wifi and various types of seating available. Parking isn’t great, but that’s not their fault. One of my regular weekender stops.

I love this coffee shop! They have a homey atmosphere with traditional café tables and plush easy chairs. Local artists exhibit their work on the walls, and perform live on some days. They have a wall of board games that are free to use if you come with a group of friends, or bookshelves full of a variety of books and magazines to read and relax. I take my computer and use the free internet to work on homework. Oh, and did I mention great coffee too? My favorite are the Bean Freezes which are similar to a Starbucks Frappuccinos but with a huge list of different flavor mix-ins you can choose from(White Chocolate Mint is amazing).

Where was this place when I lived in Hutch? Metropolitan is a lovely little shop that and much more fun than your run-of-the-mill Starbucks. Art on the walls, funky decorations, books and board games, free wifi… I could have hung out here all day. I ordered my usual chai latte and it was hands down THEBEST chai latte that I have ever had. Smooth and creamy… and when I requested a shot of vanilla, the barista added the perfect amount — just sweet enough. Fancy opening a shop in London, Metro Coffee?
