Terrible service with indifferent employees. Our server only came to our table to bring our drinks and one other time. Kitchen staff with headphones completely ignoring the customer. The food was okay but nothing to rave about. I don’t expect five star service with a buffet. What I DO expect is a friendly helpful staff. Have had other great experiences here… Not sure what the issue was today.

We ate here on a Saturday evening after church. I was not impressed at all. Granted, I’ve been used to the buffets in the casinos and the huge spreads they put out, but I still expected more from Sirloin Stockade. The selection was abysmal, even for Hutch. My companions all liked the BBQ ribs and brisket. Everything was average to below average. Not sure where else to tell you to go, as there aren’t many options in Hutch.

If you’re ever in the mood to stuff yourself so full of food you can’t move to walk yourself out, Sirloin Stockade is the place to go. This buffet has it all: chicken, ham, steak, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, hot veggies, rolls with honey butter and melted cheese and gravy to drown it all in. There’s also a pretty extensive salad bar as well if you need to offset the calories a bit. Though the bakery with fresh brownies and cinnamon rolls may help to add them back on! It’s true that you’re herded through the buffet like cattle and eating this much food does make one feel like a cow, but it’s always good food and the place is clean, unlike a lot of buffets that have food slung all over the place and spilled on the floor. Sirloin is good for both lunch and dinner, though I’d avoid Sunday afternoons, as it’s a favourite hangout for the local old people.

Staff is very friendly and its clean. At times I don’t think there is enough to chose from, but there is a huge salad bar. Their bakery section is really good too, fresh hot buttery dinner rolls!

One really big drawback to Hutch is that there are very few breakfast places to eat with a big crowd. This is no exception as they don’t take reservations and herd you through the line in a way that is a little too similar to cattle. I loathe this place because I feel like a pig every time we go, and there is nothing about the food that is worth consuming this amount of calories. But I keep going back again and again, because it’s easy for my large and often late family to all eat here together on short notice. The service is usually great, and I’ve never had issues with cleanliness. When you’re eating to live, this works.
