I’m glad I found this bike shop cause they helped me out, big time. I’m from New Bedford, MA& was having my bike serviced at a Westport, MA bike shop, but when I needed specific parts replaced the Westport shop wouldn’t help me out, even though they sold me the bike years ago & I was told by the maker of the bike that even though they do not sell that brand at his shop he could’ve still serviced my bike, but he refused … so I was forced to look elsewhere and glad I found The Bike Zone, even though it’s a ride for me from New Bedford, MA it was well worth it. Thanks to the guys at The Bike Zone I’m able to continue riding!

WOW! After reading that post from the person who rented a bike or bikes. You must be some kind of idiot. Or did not listen to the agreement. Most likely both. I am 72 years old, and have been doing business with the Bike Zone for 20 years. They are a small family run shop. With the owner as the main mechanic. His wife being very involved. And other family members also. For someone to come to the Cape and bash a very hard working family is appalling, and downright unfair. They have quality bikes and parts and equipment. What a jerk to say they have Walmart bikes. My two bikes are cruisers. And they are exceptional quality. The Cape is a busy place in the summer. Hopefully you won‘t be coming back soon. If you do, bring your Walmart cruiser with you. And by the way. brakes is spelled brakes, not breaks! It‘s a shame i can‘t delete this post. Cause you were mad, and just made-up things to say. This shop is a first quality, professionally run shop on the Cape. And i can attest to that. Because i also ran a bike shop off Cape for 40 years!

I have been in this bike shop twice and will never go back. Why do they have to be so unfriendly, act like they are so busy with few customers and totally ignore you? I need bike stuff often and have a house in the area but am done with this place!

I’ve been a customer at the Bike Zone for many years and have always received highly professional service. I appreciate their expertise and advice for maintaining my road bike and for training. They are always honest and frank with their advice and have advised me when to upgrade components and have advised me against some potentially expensive upgrades. They are friendly and knowledgable. Extremely rude attitude from the owner Tim, the employees are nice. I had a vintage bike dropped there to be shipped to me, at an agreed cost of $ 75 to pack, plus shipping(which is by far the most any bike shop in the country has ever charged me), and at first he was like«We do that all the time», and was actually very condescending about it, like how dare I question them. 2 ½ weeks later they still haven’t gotten the bike packed up. They lost the Fedex labels I sent them, they don’t return my calls, or on hold for so long I hang up; they have given me misinformation about the stage of disassembly, and where the parts are… and the person I’ve been talking to the whole time is the owner Tim! Wow. Last time I could reach him, he told me he was too busy to go and check on where the parts for the bike were, wasn’t sure when he’d have time to finish the bike. Said he didn’t have time to talk on the phone to me! When the bike finally was finished he tacked on an extra $ 25 for a «stuck bolt” — Really? You say you work on old bikes all the time but a stuck bolt costs me an extra $ 25? With the type of horrible and dishonest customer service they have, I’m amazed this shop is still in business. Wish I’d have checked all the bad reviews first. Bring your business elsewhere.

Went in looking for triathlon shorts(their website says they are committed to triathlon). The kid at the front counter was very friendly and outgoing right away and asked me if he could help me find anything. I told him I was looking for triathlon shorts, and an older guy about twenty feet away stated«Nope.» What about triathlon shirts? «Nope. You need to special order any of that stuff.» Do you know where else I might be able to find some triathlon gear around here? «Nope.» Okay then. Walked out.
