Jack’s Pizza Hyannis

Pizza was mediocre. Very hard to find a good pizza place in the Hyannis area — especially one that delivers. Bought two large pizzas — one plain and one with two toppings — $ 30!

Oh my lord! I had some friends that love Jack’s and I just never went. I was missing out! Loaded with amazing amounts of fresh toppings! Delicious!

I used to come here a lot, it was kind of an old fashioned hole in the wall with basic diner style food. Just got home from my first visit in a few years, and this review is being written on the toilet, so that should give you an idea how well it went.
The cleanliness standard has clearly dropped, even for a place that wasn’t exactly sparkling to being with. My glass of water had crap floating around the bottom of it and every dish that came my way had atleast one something or other on it. There were a couple dead moths in the windowsill next to the table.
The nachos appear to be made using the same mozzarella cheese they put on the pizza. One edge of the nachos had beef stuck to it. Where did it come from? Could it have been thrown in fresh by accident, or did the cheese melt and pick up some old crap off an unwashed pan or oven? I have no way of knowing.
The boneless buffalo wings were nasty. Thin, dry, hard on the outside and tough on the inside. Did not come out hot, which usually indicates they werent made fresh. I got through just a few bites. If i had to guess id say they were originally frozen, cooked yesterday or earlier, and reheated when i ordered them? Who knows. I didnt even want to out forth enough effort to argue i paid my check and left, but i won’t be back.
I understand Jack’s isnt «fancy» by any stretch of the imagination, but my god. I feel like i was tricked.
Jacks seems to have a cluster of oddball regulars and they may be better off just being a full on bar than they are trying to make this awful fucking food work.

Only been for the pizza, way to much cheese for me. Still looking for good pizza in this area.

Small spot on West Main that makes some kick ass pizza. Belly up to the bar and get sloshed with the locals.

I love their honey pizza. That’s why I go there. But the last time I got their honey pizza it was for delivery. When I got the pizza and tasted it, there was barely any honey on it. My sister also had some and agreed that there was no honey on it. I decided to call them back because I was very disappointed. I spoke to some really rude lady. I explained the situation nicely and asked if I could at least get a credit for another pizza or something. She put the chef on the phone and he adamantly said he put the honey on. He was argumentative and discouraging. Then the lady got back on the phone and said the best they could do is send out someone with a side of honey. What’s the point in waiting another 45 mins for a tablespoon of honey. I then told her I was disappointed and she said well that’s all I can do. I said thanks and hung up. I can’t believe they spoke to me that way. They just lost a customer.

I have been ordering the same thing from Jack’s since I discovered them a few months ago. Only once was it made incorrectly and I still ate it out of hunger and the fact that one time happens. I have happily spread the word among my circle of friends about jacks fabulous calzones and pizza. Friends have ordered multiple times for lunch and dinner. However tonight will be the last time I bother with them myself. I ordered two hamburger calzones with American cheese, a small cheese pizza and a large with multiple toppings. Pizzas were great, however the two calzones weren’t made to satisfaction. Both of the doughs were under cooked, not even close to tan, the meat inside was ground beef (meatball meat) oppose to my usual hamburger patty. When I called and spoke with Grace, the manager/​owner I was told it wasn’t meatball meat. although it tasted like it was seasoned for that. and that it’s new dough. I told her that it was still very much doughy. and I wasn’t happy with it even she wanted to try to convince me that it was hamburger patty meat. her reply «so… You want me to send the delivery guy back to pick them up and recook them???» I thought «omfg, after a 45 mins wait for delivery with 4 kids running around waiting. no not really.» so I said «can I just throw it into my own oven?» She sounded delighted for me to do so because then it takes the responsibility off of her. shej. says «sure, if your going to do that just preheat your oven.» then my husband interrupted me and made a pretty good point. IF WE WANTED TO COOK IT OURSELVES WE WOULDNT OF PAID THEM TO DO IT. Her reply was «well we’re not going to recook the hamburger because that’s hamburger» so I asked for a refund, in which I got an attitude about. Waited over 25 mins with 3 kids of my friends that was here for dinner running around passed tired for the delivery driver to ask for the calzones back before he offered me my money. To sum this all up. Grace your a disgrace to Jack’s great quality food. Because of you I will never order from jacks again and neither will my friend. Sure it’s no big deal to you but I’ll be sure to spread the word about this too. Your one star for the delivery driver willing following your every instruction upon return. Enjoy your nasty calzones.

While I wouldn’t say it’s worth a detour, if you happen. to be in the area you should definitely try their honey pizza. We had it with Canadian bacon buried under the cheese and the salty sweet combo was delicious. Get a pint of Cape Cod Red and you can’t go wrong.
Ambiance is casual and local, basic family restaurant with dining area on one side and a small bar area on the other.

Definitely a local place. We went here after a show at the melody tent around 9:15pm. We arrived and there was only one waitress. She took our drink orders as she hurried around to other tables. She came to take our orders just after 9:30 and told us that the grill had just been shut off so ½ of the menu was now off the table. It would have been nice for her to tell us they were going to shut off the grill at a certain time just in case we wanted something like a hamburger. Anyway we orders the boneless buffalo wings… these weren’t wings. They were pounded chicken tenders in their full shape. They were ok, nothing special but we were hungry.
Maybe stick to the pizza. I saw a salad come out for another table and it was a large portion. Ours was also a large portion, you get your moneys worth in quantity.

VERY CHEESY I bit too much I usually get lite sauce and extra cheese being from western mass the Italians put a lot of sause around me … so I just ordered a regular cheese pizza and wow way too much cheese it was ok wont go there again tho… got garlic bread with cheese again to much cheese… wife got chilly cheese dog waiting for her to bite it weighs about five pounds… looks good but well see

Best burgers in Hyannis and the Pizza is great as well!
Small neighborhood tavern located across from Hyannis Country Garden (it is set back from the street). Jack’s has the best burgers in Hyannis, bar none. Basic burgers using high quality meat hand created to order. They will add your choice of toppings not on the menu, just ask when you order.
The daily specials are always great and scratch made.
If you want to cook your own pizza, you can order your choice uncooked, leave a deposit for the pan, bring it home and cook when you’re ready. Done this many times, and the pizza is as good as if you ordered to go or for delivery.
Try it with the honey dip.

Well we just arrived in Hyannis on Cape Cod. Long trip from Ontario. Two years ago we fell in love with the Pizza from here. We decided to try it again. This time one Pepperoni and the other their special! Fantastic. Best we have ever had.

So I went here for a family gather, pizza was ordered, I remember coming here when I was a kid and just wanting to play video games, as an adult the games look weathered from many years of use. Cheese pizza came out, oh yeah I forgot how overly cheesy and lacking of sauce the pizza is, and the bread is very bready like I am eating cheesy bread but not pizza bread, overly greasy and just not what I look for in pizza. I also ordered their boneless buffalo tenders, all I know is that I have never had such salty blue cheese dressing in all my years of dipping chicken in blue cheese. There wasn’t much buffalo sauce on it to begin with was kinda plain. Girlfriend got a burger and didn’t eat it all cause it was just blah, and the fries were almost cold from the moment we had them placed on our table, staff is nice, thats about all i can say about this place.

Great pizza! The dough and sauce taste fresh and there is tons of cheese. The toppings are reall veggies — no chopped up frozen or canned junk and they load the pizza up with all the toppings — no skimping on the expensive ones.
The burgers are huge and fresh, the calzones are awesome and you can mix and match fillings.
The wings used to be better when they were a spicy BBQ whole wing instead of breaded pieces but they are still ok.

Excellent dive bar on old Cape Cod, no tourists around this a real bar for locals. Good pizza (for the Cape) and frosty fresh draught. Mostlu blue colar crowd but you’ll see a few necktied gents in the joint on occaison.

Went there on a Saturday to watch college football and basically had the whole half of the restaurant opposite of the bar to ourselves. As has been mentioned, the pizza was delicious, but what made it a real joy to kill a few hours at Jack’s were the people.
The owner came over a couple times to check on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, our waitress was a peach, and other waitresses checked on us as well. But the piece de resistance– they gave us the remote to the two TVs we were watching. Can’t beat that!

My girlfriend and I are trying to find the best burger on Cape Cod. We are using a Top 10 list compiled by Cape Cod Online.
Jack’s Lounge is on West Main, closer to Hyannis Port and Main Street, the cute part of Hyannis with restaurants and shops away from the Cape Cod Mall.
When we arrived at Jack’s on Friday night straight from Boston, we had to wait for a parking space. But when we walked in, there were seats available immediately. The bar was full of townies who driven by themselves to drink after work.
Jack has only the very basic burgers. Instead, their menu bragged about being named Cape’s best pizza. They even had a honey pizza that the waitress claimed was too sweet for her but many people loved.
So we split one cheeseburger and one pepperoni pizza. The burger was average and inoffensive but the pizza made me want to switch our objective. It was cheesy but not to greasy with lots of pepperoni baked under the cheese and a sweet tomato sauce.
The French fries, a required part of any burger order, were weak. I’ve had French fries before that are clearly frozen, but these were tasteless and a little burnt, like Oneida oven fries.
My advice: come to Jack’s, hang with the townies, and order pizza.

Best pizza on Cape. Period. Toppings are big chunks not little slices. Divey bar atmosphere. Linguica and the Veggie pizzas especially. They will even make one for you uncooked in a pan to take home with cooking instructions and ask only to bring their pan back when you’re done!
