My husband and I love this place. We bring our guests here. A real treat to see our pizza being made with care and so delicious. An interesting menu, the specials are varied and wonderful, the salads are different and yummy. I love their potato pizza. My husband loves their homemade lamb sausage pizza. The ambiance is great. Open with clean lines and refreshing.

I really enjoy this place, their pizza is made in their special oven, by hand in front of you. it’s delicious! Service is prompt, servers are friendly… overall a great spot! I love the décor and great location, very easy find parking. Their daily salad/pasta specials are delicous, and desserts are made to impress. Lovely spot, go check it out and brag about it!

Ok back for another December visit. Too bad Mum is in a convalescent home this time. Went off track instead of awesome salads and creative pizza I went creamy tomato soup and the gnocchi special with house made lamb sausage, broccoli and peppers in a tasty tomato sauce. Couldn’t resist the vanilla Carmel budino and I’m glad I didn’t. I’ll be adding some extra distance to tomorrow mornings run. Merry Christmas to everybody in Hyannis from a big fan from Jerz So last night we ordered our favorite apps the cauliflower and sprouts and cause the pizza special was gone we went with the pesto pie right off the menu. Wow. What flavor especially with the lemon sauce added after it comes out of the oven. Place was packed so we know the locals are digging it. See ya next month y’all

I travel to the Cape monthly for work and always make sure to stop at Pizza Barbone. Believe the Unilocal reviews, yes, it is THAT great! I’ve tried many of the pizzas and all of them are delicious. In the summer they have a fresh corn, bacon and mozzarella pizza that is TDF. The Forest Mushroom is a regular favorite and tonight’s Crushed Potato with Bacon and scallions is now a new fav of mine. Service is always top notch with everyone attentive and friendly. Don’t miss this place when visiting the Cape!

Great find in Hyannis. Mushroom pizza with truffle oil was delicious. Particularly good crust. Wish we had a place like this closer to home.

Consistent and delicious neopolitan pizza with the freshest side salad I have ever had. Terrific and personable service makes it my go-to pizza shoppe in Hyannis!

Get the baked cauliflower appetizer, trust me on this. Pizza are better then most. Pricing is great for the quality of food and location. I will come back if I find myself on the Cape.

To discover such a place has been in operation for four years before visiting is extraordinary. This place is completely to die for and the two pizzas we had today confirm that as best as it can be confirmed. We had the Crushed Potato Pizza and the Margherita. They were both superbly cooked in the 900 degree oven, but it was the Crushed Potato that may have been the finest tasting pizza I have encountered in my 48 years of being alive. It could have been the bacon, or the cheese. But more likely it was the exquisite potato and how it went along with the cheese, crust and other veggies and bacon. Add this unbelievable crust and you have a taste that would be considered a bargain at twice the cost. This is truly outstanding. Of course, the surroundings are beautiful. This is a place that is truly loved and well cared for, make no mistake. This is a place anyone could die for, and I promise I will be there again and again.

Tasty pizza place in Hyannis that we tried on our last night of vacation. We enjoyed the food, and the service was friendly. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it was solid and tasty. The reason for 4 stars instead of 3 is that I foolishly left my credit card there, and when I called in a panic the next day(having already driven most of the way back to CT), they said no problem and agreed to put it in the mail for me. It arrived safely with a nice card from the owner. That’s great customer service, and impressed me. I would definitely return if we visit the area again.

I went here a couple of years ago, but this restaurant is so good I bookmarked it years later and have now decided to write a review about it. I’m from Buffalo, which is supposed to be a «pizza city.» However, I’ll tell you that there is a restaurant similar to P.B. that recently opened in our city and is apparently very cheap in quality despite the initial hype it received. It’s in my bookmarks, and I’ll try it one day and update this review with a comparison, but I can guarantee that pizza kitchen is likely in a lower class from Pizza Barbone. I’m willing to bet that place emphasises the drinks more than the pizza, which is why I’m sure Pizza Barbone has a(at the time of this review) 4.5 star rating. Now regarding P.B., I can still remember the delicious meal we had here, I think it was a Soppressata pizza, with the flaky, almost Naan-like crust, thin but with substance. It was without a doubt one of the best pizzas I have ever had, and that’s why 2 years later I’m writing a review. Perhaps the other most striking aspects of this restaurant would be the fact that they have a rooftop garden and a beautiful wood-fired oven. Whenever I get the chance to go back to Cape Cod, this will be my first stop.

Visited this very nice place last weekend. I had the Sopressata Pizza and loved it. The mozzarella was fresh and the dough tasted really good. I was very impressed with the fact that they have a cheese-less pizza on the menu. My wife can’t eat cheese or gluten so she had the Marinara(cheese-less) pizza with the gluten free dough, and she was very happy! So extra points for all that. The waitress was very nice too. Overall great experience.

We could’t get in on Saturday night, so we made a rezzie and went back on Sunday. We had an amazing bottle of red — all of their wines were under 40 bucks a bottle, and started with the arancini. The red sauce is so good! We shared a meatball pizza and the duck ragu papardelle special, both amazing. We also had the dessert special, a spice cake with egg nog gelato. Everything was fantastic and we had an amazing time. Highly recommended.

We stop here — always — our first night on the Cape. The owner/chef clearly loves his craft. He grows his own produce, supports local food sources, and makes perfect pizza. The appetizers, salads, and desserts are outstanding. This time we had the rooftop chopped salad, garlic cream and corn pizza. The pizza had a perfect balance of sweet and salty. Just when you think you’ve had the best meal ever, Jason comes up with something even better. BTW, service is friendly and good, and the place is always clean.

Decided to come here for lunch during our visit to Hyannis. Food was good but not great. We had the arancini($ 9) to start. They were okay, came with a nice mild tomato sauce but there wasn’t much flavor to the rice balls itself. For entrees we went with the lunch special, which is $ 10 for an individual sized pizza(8″, 4 slices) and a mixed green salad. You can choose from 4 different pizzas. I opted for the Bianca Verde and my bf got the Soppressata. The regular sized pizzas are 12″ and range from $ 10-$ 14.50. The salads had a nice mix of greens and a tasty dressing. When the pizzas came, they were smaller than I expected but still filled me up because I had the appetizer. I enjoyed the Bianca Verde, nice garlic flavor and good combination of cheeses. The Soppressata, which is basically a pepperoni pizza, was okay. I really liked the crusts, which had a good chew to it and good flavor. Overall the food was good, but not mind blowing. Ingredients were really fresh. Atmosphere was nice, a rustic/casual style. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Nice place to try out if you’re a fan of pizza.

Excellent Neapolitan pizza that tasted great, but was not as hot as we were expecting… we enjoyed it anyways. On the Friday of Labor Day weekend we got there at 6:30 and were seated right away, but as 7 approached it got more crowded and people had to wait to be seated. It is owned by a couple who spent time in Italy honing their craft.

Six nights, six dinners at six different restaurants… nothing came close to Pizza Barbone. Definitely not your ordinary pizza. These are gourmet, single serving pizzas. Fine dining, as opposed to «grabbing a slice.» It would be easy to think the food over-priced for the amount received, but the quality is so far above the norm that any thoughts like that are quickly dismissed. Service is excellent, food is delicious, atmosphere is pleasant… can’t go wrong here.

I didn’t think I’d end up at a pizza place in Cape Cod, but I’m sure glad I did. The menu is what lured me in, but the pizza made it so I never wanted to leave. I was nearly drooling as each other diner’s salad and pizza went by as I awaited my order of arancini. Everything looked amazing and there wasn’t one item on the menu I didn’t closely consider to order. The arancini were perfectly crispy on the outside, creamy, cheesy rice on the inside, served with a distinctive tasting tomato sauce, Parmesan, and balsamic onions. These were probably the best arancini I’ve had, anywhere, or at least the top 2 – 3 in my life — and I’m obsessed with arancini. They were so good, I decided to order the meatball appetizer before my salad and pizza even had arrived yet. The hearts of romaine salad was as fresh as could be, and the dressing had notes of anchovy and Parmesan. The meatballs, too, were amazing — moist, flavorful, and delicious — but arrived mere seconds before my pizza did, and was quickly overshadowed by the pizza special, Eggplant Parm. Wow. The dough was airy, soft, yet oh so slightly charred from the wood fire grill, and topped with to die for fried eggplant pieces, basil, and buttery mozzarella cheese. The food was a little pricey for the portion sizes, but it was worth every penny and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to try more pizza. Especially because I was too full to try the house-made ice cream sandwiches that caught my eye. Next time. And there will definitely be a next time. Maybe tomorrow…

Top 5 pizza’s I’ve eaten in my life. I say that with confidence as I work in NYC where phenomenal pizza can be found all over the city. Pizza Barbone however, has it’s own unique taste and style. It’s a small and laid back pizza place in the middle of Hyannis. I came at around 12pm on a Saturday and was able to walk right in. I liked this place off the back because they had a champagne drinks on the menu. So I ordered one of the drinks along with a sopressata pizza, which is their version of a margherita pizza with pepperoni.(Side note: All of the pizza’s are personal pies) The pizza was ready in less than 10 minutes and it was absolutely phenomenal. After devouring it in less than 10 minutes, I actually ordered second one! One of the great things about the pizza is the sauce. Very unique taste. It’s also thin crust which is always the best in my opinion because you can enjoy more of the taste without being overly full. This was my best meal during my trip to Cape Cod and I’ll undoubtedly be back here when I return. A definite must if you’re going to be in Hyannis!
