I wanted to get an authentic African food and Jolloff was the place to get a good food. I had the egusi with fufu and I was so content with my choice. I highly recommend this place. I am a life time customer!!!

They were a lot better in the beginning, now it’s the worst I’ve had. I paid an excess of $ 13 for literally to pieces of over fried chicken with one piece being majority bone and paid for a side of goat that for $ 4 which was literally one piece. To fulfill the meal, I had to order extra chicken which was an additional $ 6 which I had to wait for to be fried. The only part of the meal that was acceptable was the rice and my ginger ale.

Great flavors. The Egusi is excellent and the goat pepper stew was full of meat and tasty. Customer service subpar. Everytime I would ask the young cashier a question she would say, «What?» as if she didn’t want to be there. It is obvious she is young and must be family member. I see what the other Unilocalers mean. I won’t charge the cashiers attitude to the cook though. The cook is great! The treatment at the door could be the difference between a thriving business and one that closes like so many. I’ll travel for good food and great customer service over a place with great food and terrible customer service. I’ll give it another try because the food was on point. BTW the portions could be a little larger. For the price.

Food wasn’t good to me. I normally eat African Food from Sierra Leone, so I know good African food. …and it took me forever to get my food. #wontbegoinback

For all those looking for where to enjoy good African food. Jolloff Etc is the place to be… I also love their food delivery network. Some few days after the snow storm, they came to my rescue as I was unable to drive out for food. Thumbs up!

We’ve been here several times. I’m slowing going through the menu. So far the jollaf rice with either goat, catfish, or chicken has been delish. Next time I’ll be trying the various«fufu» with different sides. Each time the waitress has been very attentive. It’s never a long line and you can seat yourself.

Upon walking in the younger waitress had an attitude. We asked to be seated and she begrudgingly showed us to a table. Then seemed bothered and impatient to take our order which she wanted immediately as we were sitting down. She brought out the goat head which tasted good but was not heated thoroughly and not were in large pieces. She brought no plates, utensils, or napkins for us to share the appetizer. She did not direct us to the sink where we are supposed to wash our hands. The older waitress brought us plates, forks and motioned to the sink where we could wash hand. The sink was not clean. We were offered nothing to drink. We helped ourselves to the cooler for bottled water. We would have asked for things if anyone stopped to check on us. The older waitress brought us plates, forks and motioned to the sink where we could wash hands. As I approached the sink, a baby roach ran across the sink. were offered nothing to drink. We wanted to order entrées and told the younger waitress as she walked by. She never came back to get our orders. We waited about 30mins, during that time we looked up other African restaurants to visit instead. The table before us had been waiting for their check since we walked in, so we decided to pay immediately and leave and waste anymore time or money here. The young waitress had a difficult time calculating the amount. Overall, we never felt welcomed. Though the goat head was decent, the attitude, lack of customer service and uncleanliness left a bad taste for me. I would not recommend this place.

This is probably the worst service I have ever experienced in the USA. The waiters had massive frowns on their faces. One who attended to us wouldn’t even arrange the seats… Let us sort ourselves out we ordered starters and asked her to come back to take our main meal order, she never came back for thirty minutes. Ask effort to reach her she ignored us until we had to go. We simply paid for the starter and left. Plates were dirty, a roach in the sink where I was supposed to wash my hands. Not recommended.

Pros: The pepper soup is very nice, could be more spicy but filled with loads of assorted meats. Price is very affordable Very tasty food Cons: Seems like they are short staffed I will definitely go back for the pepper soup.

so bleeping delicious! Wow, such a jewel Didn’t think I’d enjoy my native food so much at a restaurant. Guess that’s what you can expect from DMV. I had asaro(yam portage) and the hubby had pounded yam with ego riro. This place was finger licking good.

The food was good, but I was a bit disappointed with the customer service. We waited about 10 minutes before they took our order and everything I wanted wasn’t available(or the waitress wasn’t sure it was available). We ended up just getting up to grab our own bottled drinks from the cooler, but we couldn’t find a bottle opener. When we asked the wait staff for the opener she gestured to the location which was across the restaurant instead of bringing it to our table.(I didnt know I was on the payroll). We order goat pepper soup as an appetizers to eat in the restaurant; and eba & egusi soup and pounded yam & ogbonna soup to go. The egusi soup was good but my hubby ended up with okra soup instead of ogbonna soup. We should have checked our food before we left the restaurant. I doubt we will be back but if we do return it will be for a called in carry out order.

3 stars only because I believe if you call in a with a non-African accent, they feel they can give you any piece of meat and you wouldn’t know the difference. I might not have the correct accent but I’m thick in my blood, hate winters African, and I don’t like being cheated. I envision the next time I go(first off, I ain’t calling in no order), imma stand right on top of the woman dishing my meat pointing to her exactly what kind of assorted I want so she can leave the chicken yansh«meat» to the Americans who don’t know any better. The food is decent compared to the other African restaurants in the area–

I have been in the mood for some good jollof rice for some time now. So when I saw signs for Jollof Etcetera I wanted to try it out. As would any good consumer, I checked out the Unilocal reviews. The«dish & dash» offering was exactly what I was looking for. .so I went! The first flag was an upset customer who called ahead for an order of soup. Apparently it wasn’t ready nearly 1hr after the order was placed(after she was told it would only be 20min). Then the big disappointment! There were only 2 items on the«dish & dash» buffet! The entire reason I wanted to try this place out for the first time was for the advertised express buffet. Unfortunately, I did not have an hour to wait for the buffet to be replenished. Will I try this place again? Maybe if I have time to spare(I’ve heard the food is actually good). However, I like most am a busy person and expect restaurants to deliver on what they advertise. Advice to owners: make sure you are ready to serve what’s on the menu ATALLTIMES. Sometimes you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.

The Food is very tasty, l sampled their Jollof rice, Egbono soup and Goat meat pepper soup. The space is pretty decent, a bit on the small side but decent. They have a lunch service called«Dish and Dash», where you pay$ 13.99 for all you can eat, the catch is you can only take as much as your carry out container can hold. To get a refill, you will have to pay extra on that. So not a buffet but a «As much as your plate fills». Aside from the Dish and Dash, l find their regular prices a bit expensive for what you get, $ 14 for a plate of Jollof rice and 3pieces of meat? $ 11 for a small cup of Pepper soup? Anything below or about $ 10 is more reasonable for the amount of food you get regardless of the quality, at least in comparison for what you get at other Nigerian establishments. So overall, A plus for quality but the prices are steep in relation to quantity.
