Went to the location on Ager Rd Hyattsville June 19th. This location closed early! We rushed to get to this KFC before they closed at 11. Got there at 10:55. Ready to order but the drive thru was shut down, so we went to the window. The cashier was clearly closing the register, counting the money for the close of business. So they must have started to closed a few minutes before we even got there, we then pulled up to the second window to the other associate who was handing food to her friend out the window, check the time… it was now 10:58, ask to speak with the manger, that’s when we were told that the first associate we spoke to was in fact the manger on duty… I understand it was close to the closing time but I feel to have loyal customers you have to have good costomer service. If we were even there one minute before closing we should be served. We were simply turned away, with a sorry for ya, she said her clock said 11:00… As they continued to hand food to there friends out of the window. I would avoid this location at any cost, save yourself gas and the aggravation

I heard the flack for years. KFC, formerly Kentucky Fried Chicken, was now serving grilled chicken. What? So anyway, I finally tried it. It is very good. Better than(*cough*) Boston Market(but that is rotisserie, right?). So. I get the two piece with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Biscuit. Extra biscuit. Oink oink! I am a fan of this corporate creed high sodium fast food chicken. I will be getting it again and again.

I decided to go to this location on Ager Road since the KFC on Riggs & University Blvd. is now closed. I brought a 3 pc. Meal, the chicken and cole slaw tasted old and the biscuit was hard as a rock. AVOIDTHISLOCATIONFOLKS.

This a pretty decent KFC, but I have to agree with the review above: the biscuits are… eh. They’re either too doughy(and I love soft, doughy biscuits) or too hard! What’s up with that? But everything else is good there. Well… minus the generic tasting mashed potatoes, bleh.

This is not a review for the Double Down. Though, I may try one of those at some point. I had a late lunch the other day and ended up wanting more food at about 10:30 p.m. I didn’t want to drive anywhere, so I walked my pretty little butt up the street to the KFC. It’s literally 3 blocks from my house. The food was surprisingly decent. Though, I’d say, as a general rule, going to a restaurant minutes before they close is not a good idea. You get cranky employees, locked bathrooms, an empty condiment/napkin station and somewhat dodgy food. That said, the only bad part of the meal was the biscuit. And they were out of breasts. So I ordered the chicken tenders, with coleslaw and potato wedges. The chicken tenders were crispy and juicy. And the honey barbecue sauce was yummy. Those things went down quick. The coleslaw was just as good as I remembered — crunchy and creamy but not too creamy/saucy. The potato wedges were thick but not too thick(wedges can be kind of mushy, ya know?) — they were crunchy on the outside and potato-y on the inside. I didn’t even touch the biscuit — it was hard as a rock. Overall, pretty good. I hadn’t been to a KFC in years, so this experience was a pleasant surprise.
