Can i give this place less then 1 star? This place is absolutely terrible and customer service is horrid.
Stay away from this place. They need to learn to speak english and get the orders right.
Food order was wrong and took over an hour to deliver and food was cold. Called to complain about the order and lady on phone hung up on me. Really? I am paying for this service and all i get is rude service and hang up. Lesson 101 when operating a business… Customer is always right. Not the case with this crappy restaurant. STAY AWAY!

Absolutely stay away. They can’t get orders straight, can’t deliver food on time or to the correct address, and don’t have adequate conversational English to do business with customers. I placed and pre-​paid for an order through Beyond Menu. Despite having all contact information pre-​populated in my Beyond Menu profile, including my correct address, they went to the wrong house. The delivery man called from his mobile and insisted that he was outside my house. I was at my front door. He assuredly was not there. He hung up when I told him that.
I called the restaurant hoping that someone could call the delivery man and translate. No such luck. The guy who answered the restaurant phone said he was too busy to talk to me. WTF?! As I was on my way to the restaurant to demand a refund of the $ 55 + tip charged to my credit card, my wife called to let me know the delivery had arrived. About face and 10 minutes later I’m eating luke-​warm, mediocre food; except for the orange beef. It wasn’t mediocre. It was terrible. And the shrimp and black bean sauce was shrimp and some generic sweet & sour concoction. For this I pre-​paid $ 55 and gave a $ 7 tip, which is another good reason not to tip before service is given.
P. S. Unilocal needs to add another box under the «Good For» entry in the survey: «for nothing» in Talk and Wok’s case.

Ordered here once and won’t again. The Chicken Fingers were excellent which is why I gave them two stars. Ham fried rice had no taste and the lobster sauce was odd tasting. Unfortunately, there really aren’t any options around this area for Chinese food. :(

I’m a pretty picky eater and I live on the south shore so without Unilocal I wouldn’t have found this little gem! I got chicken fingers and pork fried rice! I know most of you are saying «how plain and boring» but that’s me! Anyway the chicken fingers were perfect, nice and crispy and delicious batter not dripping grease! And the ride had big pieces of pork and great flavor! I will be back for sure!

This place is horrible. Half cooked food that gives you food poisoning! Don’t eat here, order take out from here, nothing. The chicken had bones in it, and was overpriced for what it was. The dumplings were barely cooked. The food tasted horrible. The delivery guy called and yelled at me for not giving an apartment number, when I had, then instead of ringing the bell, for my boyfriend to answer, he sat on my porch for ten minutes, then yelled at me again. Never ever again.

I have been going there for years and was always pleased until this past 6 or 8 months. We usually have the food delivered and this past Tuesday ordered food at 645pm and was told 1 hour delivery. To make a long story short it arrived at 830pm after multiple calls to the restaurant and the owner gave it to us free of charge. The delivery driver was rude and kept knocking on the door to be paid after I handed him the phone to talk to the manager! The food was ice cold and that’s it for me. It is too bad used to be great.

Food is alright, nothing special I ordered the large chicken fried rice for $ 7.76. The rice didn’t have much flavor extra plane. But it had a lot of chicks. But didn’t make up for the flavor

This food is the kind that gives you a stomach ache. Food was awful with no taste. I feel sick to my stomach. I do not recommend this for anyone.

the establishment never let me down. chicken wings and crab rangoon are the best. if youre in the hyde park area. definitely check this restaurant.

Cheap, quick, and decent. The food is decent, not the worse, but you won’t be too disappointed. I usually have my food delivered and it’s quick and usually comes in 30 minutes. In general, this is a good place to order from when you tired and don’t want to cook on a saturday night.
Never eat in though, eating in will usually ruin your appetite, the tables are always dirty and there is always at least one fly annoying you, so stick to delivery.

terrible service and quality of the food. I gave it a 2^nd chance because of convenience and was disappointed again. not only did the delivery take over an hour long, the order was wrong. and when i called to see if i could receive the correct order i was argued with and forced to pay 2 dollars extra. Food had an off taste to it as well. I will never spend money here again.

Consistently good chinese food! We have never been let down here after years as patrons. Good fresh ingredients and super fast service. 10 minutes is the norm.
If you are doing takeout, go pick it up. The delivery is not fast enough and I think alot of the negative reviews from people getting delivery are because their
food drove around for 45 minutes.
If you are going to eat in, don’t. The dining room is a little grubby and typically empty, this seems to be primarily a take out place.

Ordered orange beef and it was soggy and sour tasting. They had the nerve to include a pamphlet in the bag stating how they were voted best take-​out in the area. I don’t care what the pamphlet says the food has to speak for it self, as if they were going to convince me it taste good just because the pamphlet said so. They got two stars because the delivery was fast and the white rice was made perfect. Woomp woomp.

the two stars are only thanks to the relatively quick delivery and ok ish wonton soup. The Dragon & Phoenix dish is absolutely not recommendable, unless you wish to spend you evening with the worst stomach ache of your life!

Worst customer service ever. they made a mistake of my order then when i called back i told them to take off the tip the lady said ok. bu i realized she still charged me 17 something for a plate that was not worth that much… so i called back and then she was angry at me saying why did i change my mind. it’s my money isnt it? People these days. She acted so unprofessional. And she told me never to call here again. what did i do wrong? I was not the one that made the mistake. Dont ever order for delivery from here. these people r soo wrong

This place is pretty good. The one thing that I believe that differentiates this place from all others are its chicken wings. They are a breaded fried chicken wing kind of like KFC. They are so good. Everything else is average or below average.

I loves me some talk and wok! The crispy garlic shrimp is always very good, and the crab rangoons are some of my favorite around. The delivery is always very quick and they are always polite and friendly. I enjoy the food every time.

i dont know why there are all the mediocre rating for this place. i got my delivery in 20mins the crab rangoon are amasing and the emerald beef/​chicken dish i got was very filling. Plus you can tell the rice was fresh other like other places where the rice is all dried out. Maybe i think this place is awesome because i usually order from East Ocean in JP and that place is freaking scary
i gave this 5 stars to begin with but had to drop it to a 3 because i found a hair in my food a long hair to be exact man that ruined my dinner

I have a soft spot in my plaque-​laden heart, for suburban Chinese food. Whatever, HP, you are the not the city. In any event, a Chinese place that delivers dinner/​grinder rolls along with some possibly inauthentic but definitely yummy meals just wins in my book. The chicken and broccoli I got here was made with good quality chicken, and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Still crisp, but cooked through. I can’t complain about the crab rangoon either, it’s not my favorite app, but I managed to scarf at least 3 of those things. Delivery was quick and friendly. They do it right, and have a great name.

Meh food. Relatively quick delivery. Friendly phone people. Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. Ok, enough.
