Of all the stores that cater to the outdoors person, Idaho Mountain Trading Company is tops when it comes to putting the customer into the right gear. I needed a water filter on one stop there and the staff was extremely knowledgeable on what would work best for me. I have shopped at this store several times and have never left disappointed. Whether it’s tents, sleeping bags, rock climbing, or even bicycling. IMT is the place to visit. I highly recommend it!

Store is stocked with most of the outdoor adventurer gear and clothing. Staff was very helpful. I needed crampons to help with traction I the icy conditions and the staff walked me through what type and size I needed.

This place caught my attention within hours of moving to Idaho Falls. I was helped very quickly by a friendly staffer and the whole experience was easy and comfortable. I found just what I needed and was also pleasantly surprised to find they have a stash of real wool hiking socks available for use when trying on boots and shoes. Excellent idea! There’s no other way to know just how a boot should fit without the right socks. I’m happy I stopped by and will definitely go back.

A friend recommended this place to me. My experience was great. They were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They helped me pick out my perfect bike. I even had my boyfriend go and buy a bike there too. Will recommend to anyone.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I «LOVED» this place. We had been looking for bicycles for a while now and it seemed like everywhere we shopped at was either overpriced or snooty about the type of bicycles one should buy. Keep in mind we have been looking from the Jackson, WY area though Idaho Falls. What a gem of a store this place was. Prices were good, up front and posted. Employees were knowledgable and honest. There isn’t enough I can say about them. Hands down, my «go to» bicycle shop from now on! Thank you!
