Best Indian food in Idaho Falls! The serving sizes are very generous, this is the first Indian place that I was full before the food was all gone. I had the Lamb Kurma, Mango Lassi and Rice Pudding. I have a low tolerance to spicy food so I always ask for mild spice. Some restaurants still overdo it on the spice, but Tandoori Oven was right on, the perfect level of spice. The service was quick and efficient. I’ll definitely come back!

I love Indian food, and the Tandoori chicken was some of the best I’ve had. Really. All the dishes we had were deftly prepared and perfectly seasoned(veggie curry, & the onion naan stand out). A lot of care went it into the making of our meal. We will be back!

Love this place! It was our first time going there and we were doing take out. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating in suggesting what we should try. We enjoyed everything we got. The ground lamb appetizer, chicken masala, shrimp kurma, the assorted bread basket and mango ice cream. It was all amazing! We will definitely go back when we visit from Utah again.

I’ve always been a little sceptical of Indian food, but I guess I just didn’t know what I was missing. This stuff is the kind of food you don’t want to stop eating because it’s soooo good but you have to cause you’ll splode of you don’t. They have online ordering for take out which is really convenient. I place my order when I leave work and pick it up on the way home. I highly recommend the chicken tikka tikka. OMG it’s like crack.

Awesome customer service and amazing food. My wife who does not like Indian food at all said this will be our new«spot» for date nights. Great prices for quite a bit of food!

Do you want the good news or bad news first? Ok, we’ll start with the bad. We were told it would only be about a 5 minute wait, but we ended up waiting quite a while longer. There was, in fact, a table available and ready, but it just sat empty and unseated as we froze in the lobby. The service was ooooooookkkk. I think they might be understaffed because the server seemed to be in quite a hurry, sometimes just quickly(and loudly) putting drinks and plates on our table without even looking at us and then walking away. Buuuuut on to the good news. This food is just awesome!!! The sweet naan is basically the best one that I’ve tried, other than one place in Sedona, Arizona. I often hate eggplant, put I adore the Baygan Bhartha. And, I tried the Vegetable Coconut Kurma today, which was also amazing(though you could add some heat to this one). My mom is almost literally just a carnivore, and even she likes this veggie dish. My mom and sister really love the Shrimp Tikka Masala. The only one I would not get is the Saag Aloo, which has a good flavor, but the spinach is just too blended(it’s been described as either spinach soup or baby food). Overall, one of the best restaurants in IF!

I love this place. I have eaten here at least a dozen times and I have never had a bad experience. It is family owned and service is always excellent. The butter chicken, coconut kurma, and chicken tikka masala are just some of my favorite things. I have never had anything here that I don’t like. I would recommend this place to anyone! It is an amazing place!

I am Indian. I have eaten at plenty of Indian restaurants throughout the US. This is a place I have eaten at and would definitely go again. They could improve their curries but overall it’s a decent hot meal.

We were supposed to get to this restaurant at 8pm but ended up there at 9pm after a day at Yellowstone! They were helpful in providing food and service at such a late time. My cousin kept them informed since there were about 30 of us and we used a pre-fixed menu. We were there after they closed. Much Appreciated!!! Thank you!

My favorite place in Idaho Falls probably. I’m used to REALLLLY good Indian food in California though. The food isn’t as good as Indian food is in California BUT it gets five stars just because it’s freaking awesome that Idaho Falls even has an Indian place. My recommendations are(sorry about spelling in advance): –Bhegan Bharta: my favorite dish at every Indian restaurant. I like how theirs is slightly sweeter than I’m used to. –Sag Aloo: I DONT like how they purée the spinach ATALL. It makes me feel like I’m eating baby food almost. But the flavor is still good, and anything with Sag in the name is usually good! FYI, they make their own cheese for the Sag Paneer which is always cool. I just don’t like paneer as much. –Shrimp Tikka Masala: Anything that has tikka masala is going to be yummy. In my opinion it’s one of the best sauces. –The sweet naan! Or the naan with potato in it. MMM I’d skip the desserts, they need work.

I was surprised to find an Indian restaurant in Idaho Falls. Having been on a cross country road trip for a few days, I was getting veggie burgered out and the idea of Indian food very appealing. Usually because I make really good Indian food, we almost never eat Indian food outside our home. I am glad I made an exception. The food was good. I ordered saag paneer, vegetable curry with coconut sauce, and raita to go. Even my carnivorous husband liked the vegetable curry. I was happy to get some comfort food. I would, d have been even happier if they had yellow dal on the menu and packed some pickles with my meal.

Alright! This review comes from an Indian who is a foodie & a home chef. Me & my wife live in Pocatello, ID& we drove 50 miles with some work & definitely made plans to eat out from the only Indian restaurant around 150 miles. 1st impression — Disappointed. We ordered the Chicken Tandoori for starters &2 portions of Naan(flat bread), Mutton Rogan Josh & Lamb Biryani for Main course. I asked the waiter to make it extra spicy assuming the spice levels would be in line with the American crowd. 1. The Chicken Tandoori — because that is my favorite item & I since my childhood I would have eaten like more than a thousand times I know how a perfectly cooked Tandoori tastes like, but this was not up to the mark. It was OK. Advice to the chef — Instead of sizzling the onions with bell peppers & whatever sauce you used, try raw onions mixed with a little red chilli pepper, lime juice, cilantro & chat masala. 2. Naan(flat bread) — It was good. No comments 3. Mutton Rogan Josh — Here started the miserable journey. This curry was bad, it was no where near to Mutton Rogan Josh. Because I asked it to be made extra spicy, the chef added Habanero chillies into it. I asked it to be made spicy, not hot. The Habanero chillies not only changed the flavor to hot, but the weird taste of something sweet & then it turns hot a few seconds later. Also, the smell from Habanero dominated the entire curry. The spicy flavor comes with adding stuff like serrano peppers, red chili pepper powder, a little extra onions, ginger garlic paste & other spices they add, not by merely adding habanero chillis. 4. Lamb Biryani — This was pathetic. This looked more a like some Asian sticky rice with the same Habanero gravy/curry mixed, no where close to Biryani. The chef must have thought a brilliant idea of using the same gravy used for the Mutton Rogan Josh, bad idea. The plain white rice offered was tasting better than the Biryani. Overall, Tandoori Oven disappointed me with the hype it had. It may be a different taste & try out for the American crowd, but for an Indian who fortunately knows more about food it wasn’t. Hopefully, they will take this constructive criticism & work on their taste. Yeah, the rates are not worth the quantities for Mutton curry & Biryani.

I’ll start off with saying that this was my first time eating Indian food and I was pretty excited to try this place out. The food was fantastic! Who knew that flat bread could taste so damn good! Food 4.5÷5 I have nothing to compare this Indian food too, but I can compare it to how food should taste… and it tasted DELICIOUS Started with the sampler: An assortment of Vegetable Samosa, Onion Bhaji, Chicken Pakora and Vegetable Pakora). They were all good, some better than others, but this got us into the spirit of Indian food. Chicken Tikka Masala: This is apparently the«rookie» thing to order, good thing I was a rookie because it was delcious. Great flavor, I ordered mine spicy. I’ll probably try VERY spicy next time because the spicy wasn’t too spicy for me. It comes in a creamy almost tomato-y sauce. It’s really good, order it… rookie. Butter Chicken: This one was also in a creamy sauce. It was good, but not as good as the Masala. NAAN: GOODLORD, if I wasn’t watching my carbs I would eat NAAN everyday. The Indian culture is a wise culture, sopping up the sauce from both our chicken dishes with naan was INCREDIBLE! This was the highlight of the night. We had both plain naan and sweet naan, both were out of this world. You wouldn’t think flat bread could taste so good or pair so well with a sauce, but you’re wrong… you’re dead wrong, plead to Shiva for forgiveness for your erroneous thoughts! Service: 4⁄5 Our server was very nice and helped guide me through the adventure of trying Indian food for the first time. Our drinks did run dry a couple times, but other than that she was great. INCONCLUSION: If you are sitting on the fence, I’ll gladly push you and I’ll push you right off that fence as long as you fall into this restaurant. Haters gonna hate, anyone who leaves a bad review about this place has no taste buds or has less than 10 reviews on Unilocal and therefore cannot truly be trusted.
