It is only a place for book worms that can not be shy about digging out gems or rare books. Steve will trade books. You can also ask him for a specific author your in search for. My favorite is to stop in after a hike. Steve is very friendly and has a extended trinket store 2 shops next door. But that’s another story to tell you later. Most are paper back but it does vary season to season. It’s never the same selection of books. Paperback $ 1 Hardback $ 3 Rare books maybe $ 4 Cash only Trade in books or store discounts It is a hole in the wall nothing fancy. Steve has read most of the books he sells so his conversation are not only funny but academic. His open all the time that I’ve stopped in but he is the owner and he does what ever he wants with hours. His usually found at his trinket shop next door. He floats around and you can’t blame him. His in the middle of Idyllwild pines and beautiful skies. It’s like a wrinkle in time visiting Steve. I proudly suggest to visit Steve stores and especially his books. It’s like a treasure hunt. Enjoy

Bubba. A little on the eccentric side, but a true lover of books. Been there at the same hole in the wall place for decades, a corporate escapee. Bubba. He’ll buy your books, sell you used books, and talk your arm off if you let him. Let him. He’s an interesting guy. Bubba. Don’t expect much in the way of organization, although recently he has made a concerted effort to expand and separate into sections better. This is a great place for finding that book that you lost 30 years ago, or getting a quick read read while you detox in Idyllwild. Bubba. Go visit him. He represents the true laid back flavor of Idyllwild.
