Sketchy to come here because I usually do my own mechanical work. Plus it’s been 15+years since I’ve been here because the old guy who was there, assuming Mark’s dad, was great. But I gave it a try since 2 other shops didn’t want to get me in right away, Mark got me in going once I entered the building. He charged me for the battery which I thought was an alternator issue and for the diagnoses and was pretty straight forward. Also, did a routine check up on other things. Stand up guy and he might be my 2^nd shop in my book if I need something urgently done. Can do my own work but can’t afford to take time off from work and taxi the lady around town. LoL. I’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time now. Please don’t ask why I’ve waited so long. So let’s get down to business. Mark and the team of individuals that work for and with him are nothing less than the best. My entire family and I have been taking our vehicles to Mason’s for several years now. My brother actually found Mason’s and quickly told our Dad and I of his experience with Mark and his crew. I’m an «Over the Road Truck Driver» so when when I’m on the road and my brother calls me to tell me things it’s usually because he’s really excited about it. We use to take our vehicles to a BIG National Chain for service and repairs. I won’t give you the name if the chain but it is very closely related with «Burning Rock». In all fairness in the beginning they did good work but things quickly changed. But with Mason’s we have always been treated fairly and with respect and we trust Mason’s with all our vehicles needs.
Recently I had work done in my vehicle at a small repair shop in Riverside, CA. You see I work out of Riverside even though I live in Imperial Beach. I was happy with the work was done but later during my 2 hour drive home my «Charge Light» came on and my first reaction was «What?! How is this possible?» After all I just had it worked on. Well I called Mark and he told me to bring it by and he’ll have his guys look at it. I took it in the following morning and a short while later Mark called and explained what went wrong with the repair work I had done in Riverside and he gave me an estimate for repairs on that and a couple other things I mentioned. I gave him the «Ok» and he got to work. My vehicle was done and ready to go later that afternoon. Honestly I assumed I would be without my car for a day so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.
I highly recommend Mason’s for your Auto Repair Needs. You will be treated fairly and with respect. You won’t be disappointed.

I have to give Mason’s on Palm Ave a big thumbs up!!! I was trying to avoid the Lexus dealership for a very expensive (approx 3k) suspension job on my SUV. My son found the parts at a dealership in Sacramento I waited a week for them to deliver the parts which cost $ 1,055.00 I took them to Mason’s where he was charging me $ 350.00 to install the parts. After spending all day trying to figure it out we decided to tow it to a dealership. We paid him and told him thanks. When the tow truck was in route they called us and told us they figured it out! After we had already paid them they still kept trying to figure it out and succeeded!!! They saved me about $ 1,600.00. Thank you Masons!!!

Mark Piper and his crew are hands down the best around. They always give you the straight answer and make sure everything is done right. If they cant fix it they’ll make sure to send you to someone who can. I take my vehicle to them for oil changes, tune ups, and maintenance and have never had anything but an awesome experience. I truly wish this was the norm and not the exception. Thanks for being an awesome business.

You couldn’t find a more reliable, fair and honest business. I’ve had just about every car in my extended family there at one time or another and I’ve not once experienced the sticker shock common with most mechanics (especially if you’re a female, most of them seem to think all females are totally ignorant when it comes to vehicles). They are very thorough with repairs and on two occasions told me I didn’t need new parts when I thought I did. Wait, it gets better. After my first time there they knew me by sight when I came in and were able to pull up any of the vehicles I’ve ever brought in without my giving any information on them. Might not sound like much but being a nameless, faceless number at other mechanic shops it inspires a level of trust the others don’t.

I was sent to Mason’s by an employee at Discount Tire to have my car realigned. It is always a dicey business, as a woman, finding a good mechanic. After completing the alignment, the service manager, Mark Piper, drove my car around the block, just to make sure everything was fine. It wasn’t. Something about my steering wheel wasn’t lining up as it should. So the mechanic worked on it until it was right. Sure, it took a little longer, but I was impressed that he wouldn’t release the car back to me until it was working correctly. I will definitely be back in the future.

Its always so scary when you have car problems and you don’t know where to go or who to trust. Well look no further Mason’s is really a great local honest reputable place. My family have been using them for many years now and they have never steered us wrong. Instead of just milking it for more money they will tell you whats necessary to fix now and what stuff can actually wait until you have a few extra bucks. Also when there’s something that’s not in their specialty they will refer you to other trustworthy places for service.
Mark is the man here. He is seriously just a nice guy. How many times have you had a mechanic give you your vehicle back on a Friday and on Monday morning give you a call just to check if everything had run smooth over the weekend? I was so impressed when he did that after my car was giving me so many problems. I will tell anyone and everyone who is looking for a honest and decent shop to come here. They are very reasonably priced and very timely on your repairs and getting you back on the road asap.

Come on now. How often can you actually find a reputable, honest place to take your vehicle? It’s a rarity, but we did. Mason’s Auto Clinic probably merely pays the bills based off of word of mouth. Been there forever and always upfront with what your vehicle needs and doesn’t need. Mark will explain anything to you and must admit has a good memory. I can’t remember the last time I came in with my vehicle, my wife’s or my mother’s for that matter and had to tell him anything about it, before he’d pull up the information and get the paperwork started.
