Can we say… AMERICANIZEDTOTHEMAX?! Now, obviously chinese food doesnt come to mind when you think Tahoe… and this MIGHT be the reason. This place is horrid. Let me count the ways: 1. Americanized chinese food 2. Since when are the main dishes more greasy then say… fried rice and chow mein? Anyone? Anyone? 3. Everything tasted the same. The garlic beef tasted like the sweet and sour chicken. No. Just… no. 4. My fucking cookie was MISSINGITSFORTUNE! What the crap is that?! 5. The thick layer of… lets call it sludge… on top on my egg drop soup. Mmmm i love me some sludge. For serious, the only redeeming quality is the non greasy fried rice. Im still baffled how they did it.

The Chinese food in Incline is terrible. Just pick something else… maybe the Thai place? The trouble with China Village is that the food is just flavorless. Terrible. But at least you won’t risk E-Coli here like you will at China Wok… which is why it got 2 stars instead of 1.

One look around the place and I thought Americanized Chinese food – this was going to be a disappointing lunch experience. My mom craved noodle soup, the kind where it takes to a day to make the broth. She ordered wonton noodle soup despite my warning. I took a chance on the chicken curry thinking it would be hard to screw up a stir-fry. As expected, the soup was bland and the wontons came from some frozen supermarket package. The noodles were the really cheap kind with too much flour. Top ramen would have been more flavorful. We noticed three other tables had ordered multiple, larger bowls of the same soup. I felt so bad for them. The chicken curry wasn’t any better but may suit certain taste buds.
