2nd visit in 2 weeks. Could not even eat the food, again. Taco Salad… chopped lettuce, sliced olives and ice cold taco chicken meat, Vinaigrette dressing in a shell. Thats it! No rice, beans, cheese, nothin. Waitress was wonderful. Incline is certainly lacking in culinary delights.

Fiancée and I had the chicken breast and it was ok, but we both felt pretty sick after and we called to tell a manager«Pam» and she could care less… Won’t be going back there, for the $ 14.00 single Chicken breast with a few spoon fulls of rice.

Fun decorations and decent house margaritas are the only positives here. After reading some of the reviews on this place, I thought maybe the place couldn’t be that bad. It was! To start with, service is SLOW. The waitress we had seemed to be hiding in the back kitchen, afraid of all the people outside because we never saw her and had to flag down another waitress for ordering, more water, our bill, … just about everything. Also, there was no host so people were waiting at the entrance for a while before they ever were seated. The tortilla soup my wife ordered was actually minestrone soup(complete with zucchini) that someone had added tortilla strips to. Tacos were mediocre. Guacamole was straight up lousy. Chips were fresh, salsa had some kick but not much substance to it. Basically, a very basic Mexican restaurant with lousy service and poor quality food. Try someplace else in the area like T’s BBQ or even Bite of you want someplace nicer.

We waited for a bit to be seated, the waitress was really friendly and accommodating but it took about an hour to get our food and it was just ok. They aren’t used to it being busy. There’s currently a spring break crowd but everyone was visibly flustered.

Meh. This is the only Mexican restaurant I’ve tried in the Tahoe area and I was not impressed. Maybe it’s because I’m spoiled since I live in Southern California and have access to scrumptious and authentic Mexican food. The mahi mahi tacos were advertised as a special, so I decided to try to give them a try. Two tasteless flour tortillas filled with a dry mango salsa, barely any shredded cabbage, and tiny portions of grilled mahi were delivered to me. The tacos looked like they were each filled with half of a small mahi mahi filet. There wasn’t anything special about them. My BF ordered chicken enchiladas and wasn’t impressed with his order either. They tasted like they were microwaved. Yum. Service wasn’t great either. We asked our waitress for extra salsa and she said she would bring it right out. It never came, so we asked another server. It took one minute for that server to bring us a fresh side of salsa. After we finished our meals, we stacked our plates on top of each other and they weren’t taken from the table for a while. Our waitress didn’t come check on us during the meal and only showed up when necessary. The restaurant looks nice and we thought it had potential. We might have come on a bad night…

Questionable ethics and Bad service! Our waitress was very rude. She didn’t Quite understand that she is in the service industry… The manager was worse. He seemed to have an attitude problem. He actually walked in on my wife and daughter in the women’s restroom and changed out the paper towels. I would think that the many female employees could have done that. Why is a man, let alone the manager walking in on a young girl in the bathroom? Lawsuit waiting to happen… The food was ok. We were never offered alcoholic drink refills by the waitress but the bus boys were very good about water refills.

Slow service and awful food! Used to be my hubby’s fav in Incline but they screwed up our top shelf margaritas and enchiladas that he’s never coming back. Waited 45 min for our food which is a lifetime when you have 2 toddlers. Wish we went to Bite instead.

It’s okey. It lacks spices on the food and also they don’t open for lunch. Service is good and I like the outdoor area during summer but to me it’s more like a nice place to have a beer and snacks.

We went to this restaurant for lunch today. After waiting 40 minutes and our food not being brought to us we decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. My husband went up to the front to pay and our waitress had an attitude and basically stated that we need to be more patient. The manager went on to explain that they had a party of 18 that’s why our food was delayed. The waitress with the attitude should have informed us that it was going to take longer than usual due to the large party. Rather than do that she just chose to have an attitude because apparently we were supposed to guess that they had a huge party and our food was going to be delayed. We live locally, it’s too bad that it is a tourist town and that a restaurant has a waitress who behaves in this manner and gives a bad reputation to the region when tourists experience her bad attitude.

Was our first time & last time here. Don’t go here, food was nasty. Looked like the rice & beans came from a can. One more thing, wow service sucked !! I’m a server myself & I don’t see why someone would treat you like they didn’t want you there. I recognize and reward good service. Never again.

A just-OK Mexican restaurant serving nothing-special food, but MYGOD, THEJUNGLEMURALS. The décor makes this place a must-see, no joke. We were looking for a quiet place to have dinner and catch up with friends, and Hacienda de la Sierra fit the bill. It was almost empty on a Sunday night around 7 pm, with just a few groups in the restaurant and bar. There’s a patio dining area, but it was closed at that hour. Chips and salsa arrived as soon as we sat down. The menu was pretty much what you’d expect: taco platters, burritos, chimichangas, fajitas, and the like. It was a bit overpriced for what we got — dinner entrees were $ 11 – 15, and seemed $ 1 – 2 too high across the board. However, the portions are large and some of the entrees come with soup or tortillas on the side. My pork chile verde was served on a smaller plate than everyone else’s, but it’s still a pretty generous portion, though I didn’t like it enough to finish it. My friend liked his chimichanga and said it’s hard to find a good one in Reno, so take note, Renoites. Service was prompt and friendly, for the most part. Our server checked in on us frequently, refilled water, etc., until her shift ended. Once she was gone, the section was effectively closed and the staff just ignored us until we left. We didn’t really care, as we had already paid the bill by then, but they could have checked in to see if we wanted to order another round of drinks or dessert or something. But anyway, THEMURALS. When you walk in, you immediately see a huge 3-D monkey carving hanging over the register. Then you realize that the entire place is wall-to-wall jungle murals with carved and painted wooden animals peeking out from corners. Our booth had a big-eyed lemur hanging off of a flower stem and some mystery creature sitting inside a clump of flowers, plus a pomegranate painted to look like it was sitting on our table. Other tables had giant bowls of fruit, parrots, jaguars, and I don’t even know what else. It’s a shame that the place is somewhat dimly lit at night, because you really need to tour the whole place and admire the art. It’s not a place I would go out of my way to seek out for the food, but if you’re looking for a friendly, casual place to have some drinks and nachos and enjoy some truly unique paintings and carvings, Hacienda de la Sierra fits the bill.

Waitress was great, very accommodating. Ordered carnitas and they were sort of grey and mushy. House margarita was good, house Chardonnay was hard to drink.

We have not been here for 4 years and was our favorite Mexican restaurant from vacations 1992 – 2011. Today the service was excellent. The chips and salsa were good as well as the Margaritas But our party of six experienced unimaginative Mexican food dishes from tacos, tostadas, burritos, etc. again, service was excellent but the food is sub-par.

Have had dinner here before but don’t remember it being this good. Party of four and all our meals were great. Good service and good margaritas. Chips and salsa excellent. Salsa spicy like it should be. We ate outside it was perfect. Our server was very good. We will definitely be back

Food was good with excellent portions and quality. The price was right. Happy hour was basically only cheap beer but that wasn’t the problem. Our issue was the service. It was slow and also felt we needed to grab attention of our waitress every 10 minutes. Not sure if we’ll go back.

I am tough on service and expectations. I do not understand how this place only has three stars. The young man at the front desk(host) greeted us quickly and with a positive attitude and a smile. The server was full of personality and enthusiasm and helpful with the menu. All of their helpers were attentive to make sure we had our waters filled. I could see other employees interacting with each other in a positive way. Totally impressed. Not only was the food excellent and the atmosphere very enjoyable, but it was even more so because of the great attitude present in all of its employees. Highly recommend this place, and will make it a Tahoe favorite for now on.

Incline Village is filled with Mexican restaurants, but this is the one my family has been going to for years. The food can be a little hit and miss, but most of the time it’s super good. The menu is huge and there’s something for everyone, and there is a variety of portion sizes so you can expect to be able to actually finish what’s on your plate(if not, great for leftovers!) The service leaves something to be desired, but as long as they don’t mess up the orders it’s not a big deal to me. Overall, it’s a great family restaurant and I’ve had some really delicious meals here. 4 stars because I truly feel this place is above the average.

The Best Real Mexican Food and Margaritas you’ll find in or around North or South Lake Tahoe! Hospitality and Service are impeccable as well! Owners Shawn and Scott are usually on site and make you feel like you are good friends over for dinner and cocktails. Don’t miss this fabulous dining experience after a day on the Lake or a run down the slopes… Or just any old day will do! A Fan of Fab Food… And TEQUILA !

This is a must stop restaurant/bar in north shore when visiting. After ski Happy Hour is fantastic with a full bar and enough variation of tequila drinks to make anyone Muy Bueno! The margaritas are the best. The food is varied and more than satisfying, being one step up from your typical Mexican restaurant. It’s a full throttle experience with a great atmosphere and great food/drinks. Did I say great drinks??? Five stars!
