This is the second time in less than two weeks I have visited this location. Today was at 12:58 pm Sunday 8⁄16 my ticket totaled $ 19.77 and most of the food was thrown away on my tray. Two orders of chicken fries were burnt and disgusting we had several broken ones I guess to make one. I wish I could post the pictures of these. You can see in the photos they where bad. I also purchased these two weeks ago aug 3 and they where the same. I blew them off bad cause I went at an off dinner time. Today we ordered burgers and the cheese burger was luke warm. Didn’t melt the cheese at all. My child could pick the entire slice of cheese off. It didn’t melt a stitch and our fries where so salty they couldn’t be eaten. I didn’t bother complaining or saying anything just threw it out and left and will not return again. I was hoping with the new remodel the service and quality would change with it. You can remodel all day but if you don’t give good product it will never change.

This is the sole Burger King in town. It’s located across the street from Bill’s Restaurant and right across the bridge that leads into the main street of Independence. This BK is located right after a stop light, so it can make it a bit difficult to get out of during rush hours. The interior is pretty up-to-date. It wasn’t build very, very recently, but it was built somewhat recently, and they’ve kept it clean and looking nice. The booths and whatnot don’t have cracks on the fabric, and everything is regularly clean. Bathrooms are regularly cleaned as well. The drive-thru lane only has the single ordering lane which means it can get a bit backed up at times. However, this BK does a decent job of getting everybody through the line at a decent pace. I’ve never had to wait an unexpected amount of time here, and the longest times I have to wait is when I order chicken items as they require extra time to prepare(or so I’ve been told). Fries are usually fresh and perfectly salted, and I rarely am given cold or unsalted fries. This is the only Burger King that I’ve ever been to that can seem to get my Tendergrill chicken sandwich perfectly cooked without burning it; it’s not usually even worth ordering it at other Burger Kings. Staff is usually friendly and pretty nice. There are a couple of people who seem genuinely happy with what they’re doing, and there are some people who seem to just be okay with what they’re doing, but they’re friendly about it. Staff seems to get along with one another and I regularly see them joking with each other. I’ve never had an issue with rude employees here. The only downside to this place is that they seem to regularly get orders wrong. It’s not an insane issue, but it seems to be about 20% of the time that we go here. We don’t ask for a lot of modifications(normally just the food without mayo), but we’ve had to pull around and ask for the items to be remade. They’re usually friendly about remaking it or providing a straw or whatever else was the problem, but it usually defeats the point of drive-through if we have to go inside and ask for the correct item. Final Thoughts: in terms of Burger King, this one is doing pretty well. The interior is clean, and they have friendly and helpful staff. The drive-through wait time is usually pretty minimal, and it’d be a 5-star place if they had a lower incidence of getting the wrong orders. Definitely one of my favorite Burger King locations, though.

I was traveling back to Milwaukee and spent the night in Independence. Morning arrived and I found there aren’t very many breakfast options in this small town. I badly needed some coffee and something not a donut. I ordered a small black coffee, Egg Croissan’wich and a Quaker Oatmeal, which is a new item and fitting considering the Quaker company is nearby. TASTED: I’m a coffee geek but I don’t really mind BK’s coffee, it actually tastes better than Starbucks burnt blends. My Croissan’wich took me back to my college days of ordering off the«dolla» menu to help alleviate the symptoms of consuming cheap beer. The Oatmeal was smaller in quantity than Starbucks version and really really sugary. POST: The service was fast and friendly. It’s really too bad that Burger King chose to locate this store #9302 in the heart of the historic district. It’s bordered by a historic mill and late 1800s home. They call this«progress» or economic development here?
